"Heartless Assisted Living Facility: Cashing in on Tragedy"

I'm seriously upset and let down by this place. My granddad was staying here, terminally ill and in hospice care. Then Medicaid said he had to leave. We paid $5,000 upfront for his complete care, just in case he would improve or even if he only had a few more months to live and need help with things like showers and shifting. But he passed away within 12 hours of being admitted. There was another empty room, so it's not like they had to refuse somebody else to save space for him. I would get it if that was reason they kept our full payment. They've made it clear that they're not giving any money back. So, they basically pocketed 5 grand for providing 12 hours of care. I totally get that it takes money to run a place like this, but I can't believe they didn't show a little heart and at least offer to give back some of our money, given our painful circumstances. Even if they kept half, that would be like getting 2,500 bucks for half a day's work. I feel like a place that can act this greedy isn't the right place to trust with someone you love. I suggest you look for a home that really cares about people. I'm hoping the boss makes things right. I'd be glad to update this review, but if things don't change I plan on warning everyone I know who might be looking for a care home about their lack of humanity during our family loss.

"A great care home"

The staff here are really attentive and respond quickly when residents need help. The food is good, and they accommodate dietary needs. My husband is comfortable, and I'm very happy with this care home. I'd recommend it.

"Assisted Living Review: Personalized Care in Family-Like Environment"

I toured the Kingwood cottage for my mother's assisted living. It's a good option for those needing care but not constant nursing. The environment is family-like, with personalized attention and happy residents. Some rooms lack closets, but staff longevity shows they care.

"Personalized care in a family-like environment for assisted living needs"

Looking for a place for my mom, I visited the Kingwood "cottage," the only one I saw. It's a good option if your loved one needs care but not constant nursing. However, if they're still pretty independent and like privacy, this might not be their best fit, especially if they prefer lots of space and alone time. Only one bedroom has its own bathroom, and some rooms lack closets, but the owners provide furniture for those. If your loved one is used to bigger homes and is still sharp, they might feel like this is a downgrade. But on the bright side, everyone I saw there seemed happy, even a resident who's bedridden. They're really big on personalized care, like making special meals for residents with dietary needs. The staff seems well taken care of, which says a lot about how they treat residents. The owner even said they see it as more than just a business—it's a calling. Overall, it's a cozy, family-like place with lots of attention for each resident. If your loved one enjoys company and needs a lot of care, it could be a great choice. I'm not sure if my mom needs this yet, but if she does, I'd think about the Kingwood cottage.

"Overall positive experience with minor food adjustment."

My parents wish there were more activities beyond TV. Health improved, friendly staff, clean facility, and involved owner. Food adjustment ongoing.

"Parents' Situation Improves at Unlimited Care Assisted Living"

My parents have a complaint: there isn't much to do in terms of activities. They'd like more than just watching TV. On the bright side, their overall health has gotten better since they've been at Unlimited Care Assisted Living Cottages. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and responsive, and the owner is very involved. My parents are still getting used to the food situation, but it's not a big deal.

"Decent for folks, better than nursing homes. Quiet neighborhood."

I still think it’s okay for parents. Better than nursing homes. Special care available. Quiet neighborhood liked.
