"Great care, but our neighbor needed more than available"
The only reason I didn't give a 5-star rating is because [name removed]'s condition ended up needing more care than what the home could provide. The care given was good, but [name removed]'s issues were more behavioral than medical. She seemed to like the food, but I don't know about the activities since she wouldn't have joined in anyway. She was a very private person. Sun Rose is a great option compared to big, expensive care homes. Unfortunately, our neighbor's needs were more than what the home could offer.

"Top-notch Assisted Living: Clean, Friendly, and Nutritious"
Sun Rose is like a clean and fresh home. The staff is super nice and always ready to help. They want everyone to feel like they're really at home and happy to be at Sun Rose. The food is really good and they make sure it's healthy too. Plus, the owner knows her stuff—she's a registered nurse and she's almost done with her PhD.

"Assisted Living Tour: Good, $3,500 Private Cost"
On , we toured the assisted living facility. It was good, and the private cost was $3,500. On at 4:30 PM, we took a tour with Mom.

"Excellent Assisted Living with Caring Staff and Great Atmosphere"
The moment we walked into Sun Rose, we knew it was perfect for our mother. It was extremely clean and felt just like home. The staff were friendly and caring, and the owner, Elizabeth, was well-trained and amazing. Everything about the place said, This is where I’d want to be, so I knew it was right for my mom. I was right. On her very first day, she was doing things she hadn’t been able to do in six months, even with round-the-clock caregivers at her old home. She got out of bed and started interacting with other residents, which was exactly what we hoped for. The food was great, the place was fantastic, and the people were wonderful. I can’t praise them enough. I also want to thank our advisor, Carol Kalmanoff, for helping us find this exceptional assisted living facility. It truly was a place for Mom.

"Lovely small house, great nurse, 24-hour care, feels like home"
Lovely small house. The nurse in charge is very nice, competent, and well-trained. They provide 24-hour care and it feels like home. The place is very clean and the staff are very friendly. It's small and cozy but has all the services you need.

"A Caring Home for Elderly Women, Highly Recommended"
This group home is always clean, smells great, and has friendly staff who take great care of the elderly ladies living there. They also keep excellent records of medications. When we first visited, everything was in perfect condition. Elizabeth Pickney, a registered nurse, runs this very tidy place. We are extremely pleased with the care Mom receives. We visit often, and Mom is always happy and enjoys living here. I can't recommend this home enough. We're very thankful to A Place for Mom for suggesting it. I can't rate the activities because the ladies are too old for group activities, but they do chat and share memories of their younger years, which is lovely. Mom is 98.

"Great care and happy residents at this lovely home"
This place was wonderful. I chatted with a lady at lunch, and she looked happy and was smiling. The home was very clean, and the men who were helping the women were really nice. I'm trying to get my husband to see if there’s still space for mom. It costs a bit more, but if the care is good, it will be worth the extra money.

"Dark and Unengaging: Limited Activities in Assisted Living"
The house felt gloomy and sad. The caregiver didn't talk much during the tour and didn't seem to care about the clients. Although it smelled clean, the house didn't look very tidy. The only thing happening was watching TV.

The place felt gloomy and sad. The person taking care of everyone didn't seem interested in showing us around or caring for the residents. It seemed like the place could use a better cleaning, even though it didn’t smell too bad. Watching TV seemed like the only thing they could do there.

"Friendly but Unprofessional Family-Run Facility"
This place is family operated and very friendly, but it feels a bit unprofessional. They showed me other patients' charts to explain things, which didn't seem right. Also, having male staff could be an issue for my mom's personal care. It's not the best place for her.

"Family-Run Home: Friendly But Lacks Professionalism"
This assisted living home is run by a family. They're really nice, but they don't always handle things in a professional way. They even showed me other residents' charts to explain how things worked. Some of the men who work there could make my mom uncomfortable when it comes to her personal care. I don't think it's the best fit for her.

"Assisted Living Delivers Friendly Atmosphere Despite Neighborhood Concerns"
This place is really nice, even though the neighborhood isn't the best. The owner and her staff were super helpful. She took the time to talk to me and explain how they could help me bring my dad here. The house has wooden floors, which is cool. It's not too crowded, which makes it feel more like home. Plus, there are two cozy indoor sitting areas, which are really nice.
