"Friend's Positive Experience in Assisted Living, with Room for Improvement"
My friend stays in independent living and is doing well. Staff ensure he goes to meals in the dining room and clean his apartment. Recent remodeling, including a lovely patio with a rose garden, enhances the facility. However, there have been issues with follow-through on requests. Overall, I would recommend this community.

"Satisfactory Assisted Living Experience"
My friend's living independently and seems happy. They remind him to eat and clean his place. The remodel's nice, especially the patio with roses. Sometimes they forget small tasks promised, but overall, it's a good place.

"Amazing View and Friendly Staff!"
I recently visited Palisades and everyone was so friendly. The staff greeted me and my mom with warm smiles, and the view from the community is amazing no one else in town has a view like that. Although they’re remodeling, the place looks great. The director and receptionist were really nice, and the residents I talked to were happy living there, which was a big plus. We got to have lunch during our visit, and it was really good. We even had a slice of homemade pie, which was delicious! My mom is moving in soon, and [Removed] has made everything really easy. A big thank you to her!

"Not quite what we were looking for…"
When my family visited Sunridge, it seemed pleasant, but it didn’t feel as warm and inviting as Rio Norte, which is nearby. It felt somewhat distant and not quite what we had in mind.

"Steer Clear: Inadequate Training and Cleanliness Issues"
Management here is no good. The folks in charge of dispensing medications don't know what they're doing. The risk for medication mix-ups is high. The place is not clean. Many rooms have bed bugs. A lot of people living here aren't suited for this kind of care. The staff aides lack proper training.

Sunridge at Palisades could improve by communicating more, especially with the medical staff about doctor appointments. But overall, the people are friendly, and the food is very good. They also offer a great variety of activities.

"Disappointing Care at Assisted Living Facility"
I rated it as 'Fair.' The place could be cleaner, from the dining area to the halls and foyer. They don't take personal responsibility for anything that happens there. Blaming others for care lapses is common. I've asked for a specific list of care levels, but no luck. Disappointed overall; expected better service for elderly residents.

"Needs Improvement in Care and Cleanliness"
I’d say the place is just okay. It should be cleaner, like in the eating area, the hallways, and the front entry. I’m not sure about the cost because it feels like they don’t really own up to what goes on there. It’s like everyone points fingers at someone else when things go wrong or when they don’t look after the people living there right. I’ve asked over and over for a clear list of what each level of care includes, but I never get one. Whenever I question why something wasn’t done or given, they tell me it’s not part of the care level we picked. But it’s those small extra things that matter, and they’re just not stepping up. So far, I’m let down by the whole place. I guess I was expecting a nicer kind of help for someone older who needs more support than most.

I really can't suggest this place - the services aren't good and the food is the most unpleasant part. Even homeless folks get better food than this. That's why I transferred my mom to a foster home. It's simply a better choice.

I wouldn't suggest this place at all. The service is really bad and the meals are the absolute worst. Even people without homes wouldn't eat this type of food. That's why I had to move my mom to a foster home, which I found to be a better choice.
