"Assisted Living Facility Needs Better Communication and Laundry Care"

It's tough figuring out who's in charge here. They keep saying you need to talk to someone else. We've had issues with my loved one's clothes disappearing, and the laundry wasn't done.

"Poor Memory Care, Fine Assisted Living at Facility"

For memory care, I wouldn't suggest this facility. But for assisted living, it's a different scenario.

"Dedicated Care Staff Makes Sunrise Stand Out"

The people who manage this place have really tried hard and been really nice to find ways to help my husband and make plans that work for him. Other places didn't seem as committed as Sunrise is to making sure he gets the best care. I would definitely tell others to check out this place.

"Inadequate Care: Staff Lacking, Only Few Show Genuine Concern"

The only good parts about the place were the caregivers and. They were the only ones who seemed to care about my dad. We moved him in when he was very sick and couldn't take care of himself. Even though we paid a lot for him to get good care, he didn't get it. The staff at Sunrise didn't do much for him; they just waited for the hospice team to help him. One of the caregivers even gave me a hard time on the phone because my dad needed help while hospice was there. We were paying both Sunrise and hospice, but it seemed like Sunrise didn't want to do their part. We had to put cameras in my dad's room because one of the caregivers was rough with him. Maybe this place would be okay for someone who can take care of themselves, but I wouldn't suggest it otherwise. There aren't enough staff members for all the people who live there. This means they don't have much time to help each person. They didn't even notice that my dad had sores that needed Band-Aids. I had to ask them to bring some, and then I had to ask for them to be changed because they didn't do it on their own.

"Lack of privacy in individual apartments."

The common areas in the community stay clean and well-maintained, but the individual apartments need improvement. Additionally, there's a lack of privacy.

"Sunrise of Frisco Review"

My family member lives at Sunrise of Frisco. Staff changes happen a lot. There have been some thefts, like missing medicine, money, and food. The cleaning is okay, but they make residents leave during it. Communication with families needs work. The food is hit or miss lately, mostly miss. The food staff isn’t patient with residents. The move-in process was okay, but the pressure from the salesman for a deposit wasn’t appreciated. I wouldn’t recommend Sunrise of Frisco right now. If they improve, maybe I would.

"Assisted Living Tour Disappoints Due to Diabetic Care Failure"

We visited Sunrise of Frisco and it looked nice. But, they couldn't help us. I told them my loved one has diabetes, but they couldn't manage her needs. A phone call would've been simpler than wasting time going there.

"Terrible Treatment, Loved One Expelled and Denied Incident Report"

It was an awful experience. They wrongly blamed my family member for hitting a staff and kicked him out. They sent him to a mental health unit in a hospital. I wasn't even in the country when it happened. I would say to others to think twice before choosing this place. They even denied giving me a copy of the report about the incident.

"Isolated memory care, friendly staff, lacks homely vibe."

I popped in without warning. Saw memory care, felt isolated. Friendly staff.

"Worried about Costs and Care, Left Sunrise of Frisco"

We really didn't have a great experience with Sunrise of Frisco. They jacked up the prices for 2022 without any warning or care to check if we could handle the jump. Just a few years back, the cost was a whole lot less. On top of it all, they didn't bother to respond to my emails. As if all this wasn't bad enough, we were already worried about the number of caregivers and the quality of service. So, we started checking out other places. We finally moved, and even though it was a tough choice, and kinda chaotic, we're glad we did it. It's terrible that anyone else might have to go through this too. We're pretty happy with our new place now - they make us feel welcome, the caregivers are skilled, we're saving money and there won't be nasty surprises in the future.
