"Sunrise Memory Care: Untrained staff, Dirty Rooms, Unjustifiable Rates Rise"

I can't suggest going to Sunrise for Memory Care. Their team doesn't have the right training to help people who have Alzheimer's or dementia. They also don't keep the rooms clean. My folks had to live in really dirty and bad conditions. For folks trying to find Memory Care, I recommend looking for a place that just focuses on memory care. Besides, the managers there don't react when you ask something or request. On top of everything, they hike the prices without letting you know beforehand or giving any reason why.

"Highly Recommended Assisted Living!"

The staff is awesome. My Mom thinks very highly of the housekeeping crew, the dining room team, and especially the concierge. Our family and an outside company helped with the move-in process, and the apartment was in good shape. My Mom is choosy about food, but she likes what she selects to eat. I'd definitely recommend Sunrise of Plano.

"Nice Place with a Cute Dog"

I toured this community. They were fixing up the place during my visit, but it's a nice facility. I loved the house dog! They didn't have any openings in Assisted Living when I toured.

"Friendly Assisted Living, But Missing Key Features"

I visited this place, and it was really nice! They only serve 2 meals a day instead of 3, which we didn’t like. Plus, they don’t provide the call button necklace we wanted. Still, I’d suggest it to others.

"Lacks Knowledge of Care Needs, Otherwise Nice Assisted Living Facility"

Our family visited this assisted living place. It looked nice and clean even though it's old. The food was really good. Everyone who worked there was friendly. But the person we talked to didn't seem to know about the care our loved one would need. So, we didn't feel like it was the right place for her.

"Disappointing tour and insensitive interactions at assisted living facility"

We had first visited this place a few years back for the possibility of independent living. This time we came back to see it as an option for assisted living, but our experience was disappointing. The sales director acted rudely in ways that caused distress to our family member, making her dementia condition worsen. Although it's nice that they interacted with our loved one, they asked her repeatedly why she would want to leave her lovely town to stay here. It was already hard for us to explain to our family member why she needed to leave her home. In addition, the sales director showed us an unoccupied apartment, telling her it was vacant because its previous resident had died. This made our tour experience quite unpleasant and unhelpful.

""Sunrise now prioritizes profit over patient care""

When my Mom and Dad moved into Sunrise in 2015, they got great care. But things have changed a lot in the past few years. The new managers don't seem to care about the people living there anymore. Both my parents fell and broke bones. After his fall, my Dad soon passed away. My Mom is having a really tough time and if we want her looked after, we have to pay for private caretakers. They seem more interested in making money than looking after your family member.

"Helpful tour, but layout wasn't my favorite"

I toured this place during lockdown, and the woman showing me around was really helpful. Since there wasn’t much to see, she even gave me a tour of her own apartment, which I thought was cool. The place was nice, but I just didn’t like the layout. 4.5
