The Cottage of Spring Branch

"Amazing Care and Comfort at The Cottage"
My husband, who has Alzheimer's, has been living at The Cottage for almost 3 years. They are very caring and always adjust to his needs as his care changes. When he fell and broke his hip, a staff member went with him to the hospital. This let me stay home with my kids at night. They stayed with him until he was admitted at 3 AM. They came back early the next morning to check on him, right after his surgery, and again the next morning. This level of care was more than I expected. Also, the meals are delicious. The accommodations are excellent. Beds and linens are included in the monthly rent. This place is great!

"Poor Conditions at Overpriced Assisted Living Facility"
Awful Assisted Living Experience My relative stayed at this assisted living place for only two weeks before I had to move her. The cost was too high and the mattresses were uncomfortable. My dear one had to sleep on a mattress teeming with bugs. The woman in charge had no clue when they had last purchased new ones. To top it off, the bed alarms weren't functioning and my relative had an unfortunate fall before we could leave. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

"Feels Like You Are Being Cared For By Family"
Ever since my loved one moved to The Cottage, things have completely turned around. She joins in the activities they offer, finishes her meals, and seems genuinely happy. The staff is incredibly helpful, and the community is always neat. I often see maintenance workers keeping everything tidy. I appreciate the personal care and the cozy building—it feels like family.

"Not Active Enough for Our Loved One"
The Cottage of Spring Branch seemed nice. The staff was friendly when they showed us around. The place looked clean and well-maintained. But everyone there appeared older than my loved one. Most of the residents were just sitting in chairs. Unfortunately, the activity level wouldn't be a good fit for my loved one.

"Friendly Staff and Great Amenities, But Not Ideal for Mom"
I visited this community for my loved one, and I don’t have any complaints. The staff were super friendly and took the time to answer all our questions. The property was well-maintained, and they had lots of great amenities for the residents. Overall, it was a great experience, but unfortunately not the right fit for my mom.

"Exceptional Care and Support at This Assisted Living Facility!"
The nurse at this community is fantastic. My father has been in and out of the hospital, and she always comes to visit him, which is amazing. The community itself is great, and their setup is impressive. What I love most about this place is the personal care the staff provides. They have plenty of help and can meet all of my father's needs. I would definitely recommend this community to anyone looking.

"A Caring Community"
We visited this community for a tour. The manager was friendly and attentive, answering our questions. However, the activities didn't seem to keep residents active. We hoped for more opportunities for my brother to connect with others on his level. Overall, I recommend the care provided here for other families.

"Poor Conditions and Understaffing at Assisted Living Facility"
This assisted living facility is really gross. There are cockroaches in the rooms of the people living here, even in places like clothes and breathing machines. They're also in the common areas and the kitchen. They don't even have enough diapers and wipes to get through the night. The plumbing is always running because something's wrong with the pipes. There aren't enough workers here for all the people who need help, especially those who can't stay in their wheelchairs and try to move around by themselves. Also, sometimes the people living here fight with each other, and there's only one worker who can't watch everyone at once. I haven't seen any machines that the staff should use to help lift heavy men and women off the floor. Plus, they only get paid $8.00 an hour, which is way too little. It's really sad because they charge so much for people to live here, but nobody's getting the full care, safety, and health they need.

"Disappointing Facility: Insincere Management and Staff Underpaid"
Staff here were awesome, but it was really disheartening to know they earned a meager $8.00 per hour despite the residents being charged a hefty $5,000 per month. My interactions with the management were absolutely awful. The property manager, Katy, comes off as insincere, always slapping a phony smile and turning out to be a proficient liar. While assisting my mom with her meals, I noticed that other residents leave their food untouched, with no one around to provide assistance. I think sending your loved ones to this facility would be a big mistake. I suggest looking for better options elsewhere!

"Clean but needs brightening; lacks personal activities and beautician."
The place is tidy, but it could be a bit cheerier. It's a tad gloomy and dim. I'm still waiting to hear from the nurse; usually, she's pretty prompt, but lately, she's been slow. They don't seem to keep up with hearing aid batteries. They offer quite a few activities, but I think it would be nice to have some one-on-one options available. My loved one doesn't seem to mingle much. I wish they had a better beautician; the current one's work doesn't hold up well. There's no place for residents to put their feet up and relax. They provide more care than some other places I checked out. I picked it because I really liked the nurse and the director. They do try to fix things promptly.

"**Just Like Living at Home**"
It's been even better than I expected. They have lots of art activities, an exercise program, and my dad gets physical therapy. The staff is wonderful—they really spoil him and are super attentive. They even bend the rules for him. The food is really good too. Lately, he's been sick, but they let him sleep in and make him a hot meal after breakfast hours. It feels just like home.

"High cost, $5000 for any room; good staff interaction"
The facility is pricey at $5000, no matter which room you choose. However, there’s a lot of interaction between the staff and the residents. They also offer daily or weekend-only stays at a daily rate.

"Like Everywhere Else, The Cottages Struggles Too"
The Cottages is a cozy place with a fewer senior citizens. Whenever we visit, the staff is always ready to help. It's clear that they're trying their best, but it seems like their salary might not be enough, a common issue in these types of places. I firmly believe that there isn't a 'perfect' community out there, no matter how much you're willing to pay.
