"Facility Closed Due to Staff Attitudes and Food Issues"
They closed the place, so it’s not an option anymore. The main problem was the staff—they had bad attitudes. Also, the food choices weren’t great. The cooks were nice, but the higher-ups didn’t allocate enough for the food budget. For example, a bacon grilled cheese wasn’t a top choice.

"Unsafe Facility, Inconsiderate Staff, Bad Conditions"
Check out all the reviews on different websites about this place. For a long time, it's been a really unsafe spot. My Mom stayed there briefly before she died. The staff there weren't kind, they were downright mean and that's just the start of it. After Mom was gone, a bunch of her stuff mysteriously vanished. The food is gross and not good for you at all. The buttons they have in case of a fall don't even work. My Mom fell one night and they didn't find her until the next morning. Please, don't ever pick this place for anyone you care about. It has really hurt our family.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
Improvements: The food options need upgrading; salad every dinner isn't great. Dad needs reminders for meal changes due to memory issues but staff won't help, despite care plan. Cost is too high for the level of care provided. Laundry delays if staff doesn't show up; no solutions offered.

"Great care and communication at Truewood River Park"
We picked Truewood by Merrill River Park because it’s close to a family member. I live out of state and haven’t visited the facility myself. Even so, the staff have been amazing! They text and call me with updates. My dad seems happy and well cared for. I would recommend Truewood River Park to others.

"Assisted living facility needs better staffing and communication, lacks activities."
This place needs more staff and better communication. It was okay for what we needed. They told me one price, then tried to make it higher, but I said that's not what I was told, and they lowered it. Activities were in another building, which was inconvenient. They messed up my loved one's insurance, but fixed it when I noticed. They canceled his medicine benefits when he moved, and put him on regular Medicare. It was terrible. It seemed good at first, but went downhill when my loved one moved in.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
This place isn't great. The staff is hardly ever at the desk to help. The food isn't good, especially when they locked down for COVID and didn't tell us. We had to scramble to get stuff from Walmart. I only suggest it because it's cheap. Don't expect much for what you pay.

"Facility Shows Promise but Lacks Maintenance and Covid Protocol"
The person who talked to me at the start was nice, but I reckon it's because they're supposed to be when they're selling. The cost is alright. Seems like it could be better, but they need to fix it up. There have been some big problems like pipes bursting and electrical issues. Usually, when you ask for stuff to get fixed, it takes a while. They just hired a new cook, but the food and how they serve it aren't good. They don't plan many things for the folks living there. If someone gets Covid there, they don't really have rules for visitors or people who live there. They just say wash your hands. I reckon they oughta do more.

"Great place with room for improvement in staff and communication"
The meals come in a box, so residents can eat them in the dining room or take them back to their room. My loved one doesn’t mind that the meals are no longer served in the dining room. However, the community could use more staff to help in the dining room. There are some issues with how the community handles payments and mail. Improving this would help both the residents and their families. It would also be nice to have more housekeeping and get the carpets cleaned more often. There is a calendar of activities given to residents so they know what’s happening. Overall, my loved one is happy here.

"Great Value and Beautiful Grounds at Truewood by Merrill"
I think Truewood by Merrill River Park is a good deal for what you get. The grounds are really nice and feel like a park. I would definitely want to live there when I’m older.

"Good value, but dining and food options need improvement"
This community is nice and offers good value for the money. The food options could be better for the residents. Dinner is served at 4:30, which is too early for some people. It would be good to extend dining hours to fit everyone's needs. There are many activities for residents, including field trips, bingo, exercise classes, holiday parties, and more.

"Cozy and Friendly, but Expensive with No Available Rooms"
I thought Truewood by Merrill River Park was a nice place, but not too fancy, which is just what my mom likes. It’s a small community with not many residents, so it felt very homey. The people there seemed really nice, and the sales guy was great. The only problem was that it was pretty expensive, and they didn’t have any rooms available. If they had, we would have picked this place.

"Great community with food issues."
We pay less for a bigger apartment here. The food is a problem, but overall it's a lively community with friendly residents.

"Memory Care Unit Falls Short for Loved Ones"
We liked the community when we walked in, but the memory care unit wasn't as open as the other side. It felt sad and gloomy for our loved one.
