"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
I want to share my experience with this assisted living facility. The salespeople make big promises, but unfortunately, the organization doesn’t follow through. Here are some issues I encountered: False Promises: When I asked about meal options for my mom, I was told she could choose between two meals. However, that turned out to be untrue. There’s only one meal option available. Limited Activities: Before deciding, I observed the activities available for residents. Salespeople assured me that residents could pick from 2-3 activities at any time. But in reality, there’s only one activity, usually involving sitting and watching TV or listening to music. Memory Care: They claimed to have memory care programming like “Heartfelt Connections,” but when I asked about it, they had no idea what I was talking about. Temperature Issues: My mom’s room had temperature problems. Her AC broke, and when I visited, the room was a sweltering 88 degrees. Even after they installed a temporary unit, it still heated up to 89 degrees. Now I monitor the temperature remotely. Lack of Oversight: If your loved one can take care of themselves, this place might be okay. But if they need assistance, consider installing cameras and thermostats. The staff doesn’t check on residents as often as they claim. Late-Night Disturbances: At 10 PM, they wake my mom up, turn on all the lights, and pick up garbage. Not ideal for a good night’s sleep. Basic Amenities Missing: When my mom moved in, she didn’t receive a shower or have her laundry done. In summary, don’t trust everything the salespeople say. If you choose this facility, be prepared to monitor things closely yourself.

"Great food and care, but poor family communication"
My loved one stays at The Delaney at Parkway Lakes. The food is really good. They have lots of activities. The staff seems to care a lot about the residents. But, they don’t communicate well with families, especially after the first payment. Overall, I would recommend this place to family and friends.

"Thermostat took a week to fix, room stayed chilly at 65°F."
They didn't fix my grandma's room thermostat for a whole week, so it stayed really cold at 65 degrees.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
My family member stayed at the assisted living facility for respite care and needed nursing assistance. Unfortunately, the food was terrible and not suitable for a diabetic. The billing process was a mess—they were supposed to do an automatic draft, but it happened later, and they overcharged me. Communication about my loved one's care level was lacking. One caregiver was rude and yelled at my family member. The medication coordination was also lacking. On the bright side, the nurse practitioner who provided medical care was excellent.

The team that set things up was good. The people who clean are really nice. The doctor is okay. The people who work in the medical office don't respond quickly, but the folks at the front desk are friendly.

"Great Location, New Facility with Nice Apartments and Good Amenities"
This place is in a good spot and has great dining and social areas. The apartment we saw was really nice with a good layout. The kitchen and bathroom were well-equipped and easy to use. Although it might feel a bit far from the Galleria area, the facility is new and close to other family members on the west side of town.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Positive Experience with Room for Improvement"
1. The place is getting a makeover. 2. greeted me in the parking lot and showed me around safely. 3.made sure the basics were covered for independent living. 4. Cool layouts for 2-bedroom spaces, even with washer/dryer. 5. They're thinking about us vegetarians for meals, which rocks. 6. I'll give a proper rating after it's up and running. 7. Having a doctor's office on-site is a big plus.

"Great care and value for loved ones"
I'm really happy with the care here. The staff is caring, and the menu is great. The chef even asked what her favorite meals are, so she gets what she wants. The activities are good for her, and we hope she'll join in with the other residents. We highly recommend this community for the great care and good value for loved ones.
