"Friendly Community with Amenities"
I really enjoy how friendly the people are at The Forum at Memorial Woods. They have a nice library and an indoor pool. Based on my experience, I'd recommend this community to other families.

"Disappointing Care Experience"
My family member lives at The Forum at Memorial Woods. Honestly, we’re pretty unhappy with their care. They promised to handle my loved one’s needs, but it’s been chaotic. The nurses can’t keep up, and the overall quality of care is lacking. Not very friendly either.

"Unprofessional Staff at The Forum Assisted Living"
After my dad lived at The Forum assisted living for five years, I had a major complaint: the staff was rude and unprofessional. Nurses yelled at me when I asked questions, and they've been there for years without proper management. Caregivers changed frequently, making it hard for my parent to get comfortable. The staff hung out at the reception desk, gossiping about residents and violating privacy. The overall unprofessional and disrespectful behavior made me reconsider The Forum.

"Solid Care and Convenient Location at The Forum Assisted Living"
I think this: My family and loved one liked The Forum. They have really good nurses to take care of people who live there. The place is in a good spot. In total, we would tell other people to think about The Forum for their family members.

"Disappointing Experience at The Forum"
I'm stuck with debt because of The Forum's mistakes. They lost my rent check and corporate had to step in to fix it. But that wasn't the worst part. A plumbing problem on the fourth floor caused black water to flood my bathroom and hallway, damaging my personal items. It was like a volcano eruption! You'd think they'd offer some kind of discount, but nope. There were many reasons I needed to get out of there. It's not the best place to sign a lease, despite having a kitchen, dining room, and living room. The community manager was always kind and supportive, but that wasn't enough. My stay at The Forum could've been nice, but the food was hit-or-miss. Breakfast was the same every day, and the tables were always taken by regulars. I didn't have extra money for rainy days, and the Sunday evening snacks were gross - like H.E.B. Turkey Salad. I learned that just because a place looks nice doesn't mean it treats you well. It's like any other place for seniors - they use fear and intimidation to control you.

"Friendly Assisted Living with Communication Challenges"
My husband enjoyed his brief stay at this community. It’s a pleasant place, and some of the nurses were attentive. My only concern was the lack of communication between day and evening staff. The food was tasty, and they had daily activities. The staff members were friendly.

"The Forum: Top-Notch Living, But Serious Mold Issues"
We have two family members living independently at The Forum. We visit them one to three times a week. There's good and bad news. The good news: The Forum's independent living is a great place. The staff always greet residents by name, like "Good morning, he The door men and security staff are well-trained and polite. The dining hall staff are attentive. All the public spaces, like the lobby, elevator areas, hallways, dining room, and activity rooms, are nicely decorated. There are always live orchids in the lobby. The food is good and served nicely. The menu changes often. Breakfast and lunch are buffet-style with wait staff helping out. Dinner is ordered like in a restaurant, and you can get wine. Residents can take art classes and go on trips to cultural events or lunches in the city. There are fun celebrations throughout the year. In their birthday month, residents are invited to a nice champagne lunch. Guests can come for a small fee. There are Happy Hours twice a week. In December, there's a big holiday event. The Forum is decorated beautifully. The food is great, and the first floor is turned into a dining area. There's live entertainment in each dining area. Everyone dresses up. It's a fun event, and residents can meet each other's families. In all these ways, The Forum is top-notch senior living. The bad news: We noticed that both of our loved ones' apartments were very humid this summer. We called maintenance many times, but they never answered! We left messages but got no responses. I found a maintenance man who told us we had the air conditioner fan set wrong. We fixed that in both apartments. In one apartment, we found mold on the couch and chairs. We called maintenance and left messages again. It took weeks to get a response. The head guy had been on vacation. The Forum wanted to spray the furniture with MOLDEX. We didn't want chemicals in the apartment. We found out that MOLDEX isn't recommended for upholstery. We used tea tree oil and rubbing alcohol to kill the mold. We still needed to fix the humidity problem in both apartments. We left more messages. We found mildew on the wood cabinets and furniture in the other apartment. We left more messages. I showed the mildew to the marketing person who helped us move in. I asked for a plan and a timeline. Three weeks later, we were invited to a phone call with a mold expert. The cleanup hasn't started yet. Meanwhile, our loved ones' allergies and asthma have gotten worse. There's clearly a big problem with humidity, mold, and mildew at The Forum. Look at the big wet spot on the ceiling in the corner of the lobby! I don't know how many apartments are affected, but all of ours are.

"Unsatisfactory Dining Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
My mother-in-law stays in the independent living here for four years. She told me the other night that the dinner served was awful. She couldn't eat it and went to bed hungry. This isn't the first time. She and others often complain, but nothing changes. If we had another option, we'd move her out tomorrow!

"Assisted Living Falls Short on Cheerful Atmosphere"
I visited this place when we were exploring care options for a family member, and it left me feeling really disappointed. The assisted living area was quite gloomy. A lot of the residents were just sitting in the hallway outside their rooms, and no one seemed to be chatting or smiling. I wouldn't have felt at ease having my loved one stay here.

"Great staff, but construction and Nurse Practitioner service need work"
The staff is great and very caring. However, when my mom moved in, they didn’t finish some of the construction work. It seemed like there was a mix-up between the construction crew and the sales team. Also, they offer Nurse Practitioner services, but the person never returns calls, so that needs to improve.

"Forum Assisted Living: Friendly Staff and Good Management"
We really like the Forum. We had to move quickly, so I was glad I'd done some research. There are a few things we'd prefer done differently, but overall, we're pleased with the staff and management.

I visited this place during my tours, and I found it nice. It's similar to where she currently lives and provides the same support.
