"Disappointed with Food and Activities"
They always complain about the food being cold. We chose this place because it was affordable. They have no activities and serve cold food.

"Great Value with Large Rooms and All-Inclusive Meals"
We chose this place because they offer larger rooms like apartments with kitchenettes. You can choose from 1-2 bedroom or studio options. Some rooms are shared if you want to save money or live with a partner. Laundry and light cleaning are included, and all meals are covered. It’s a great value for the price.

"The Gardens at Brook Ridge: More care needed than available"
The Gardens at Brook Ridge is next to Brook Ridge. It’s for people who aren’t very active and need more care than my loved one needed right now.

"Friendly staff, needs better management, but overall a nice place"
The community struggles to keep staff, but those here are friendly. Management needs improvement and sometimes seems lacking, but overall, it's a nice place.

"Great food options and lots of activities for residents"
The residents can ask for any food they want, and the community will make or bring it to them. There are many activities for residents to enjoy. My mom lives here and loves it. They keep us updated if anything happens, so we can be there for her.

"Inconsistent COVID Policies and Blocked View, but Recommend Community"
Check-in went well, and the rooms were clean and nice. Since COVID, my parents have said the food quality isn't great. Another problem is that the COVID policies keep changing, and we don’t find out about the changes until we visit. The communication between day and night staff is poor, and families aren’t kept informed. Also, the landscaping is nice and clean, but the palm trees outside the window block the view and only get trimmed every two years. Despite these issues, we would recommend this place.

"Flexible staff, clean facility, but a bit far from Weslaco"
I was really impressed with the staff. Even though my original tour guide wasn’t there and I was a surprise, they were flexible and gave me a tour, answering all my questions. They showed me both their Independent Living and Assisted Living areas. The place was nice and clean. They serve three meals a day. There’s no ice machine and no recliners in the theater. It’s a bit far from my parents’ comfort zone in Weslaco.

"Amazing Care at The Gardens at Brook Ridge"
My wife reached a point where she couldn't take care of herself. She was confused, had memory loss, couldn't communicate, and wanted to be outside. I was scared she might wander off and get lost. I needed to find an assisted living facility with memory care. People I trust said The Gardens at Brook Ridge was the best. I contacted and set up a visit. My wife and I went several times.and the staff were very professional and caring. I noticed my wife felt comfortable there. Estella and the staff treated all the residents with great care and sensitivity. My wife has been there for a month now. Our daughter, friends, and I have noticed she's back to being the person we hadn't seen in a long time. We're so grateful to have her back. She's a joy to be with again. She gets excellent nutrition, activities to engage her mind, and great medical care. From what I've seen, the staff treat my wife, all the residents, and visitors with respect and excellent care. We're so thankful for places like The Gardens and caring people like [name removed] and the staff during this tough time. If you need similar care, please contact. Reaching out to her changed our lives for the better.

"Exceptional Care and Delicious Food at The Gardens"
Our parents have been at the Gardens for almost three years, and they are very happy. The care is amazing, their apartment is always clean, and the food is delicious (I love it). Most importantly, they handle the medications perfectly, so there are no mistakes. We really lucked out when they moved in, and it's been great ever since. The Gardens offers lots of activities for those who want to join, and there's still plenty of free time. Residents gather in the Bistro in the afternoon for snacks, coffee, and conversation. Having their own apartments is a blessing for those who want their own space. This place is so great, I would live here!

"Wonderful staff and activities make this place highly recommended!"
I have no complaints about my mom's new community. The staff are wonderful, and I couldn't have chosen a better group to take care of her. My mom is very active, enjoying many activities and staying busy every day. I’m really happy with this place and would highly recommend it to anyone.

"Highly recommended with great care and clean facilities!"
The Gardens at Brook Ridge is an excellent community. I highly recommend it because the place is lovely and has taken great care of my mother. The meals are well-sized and healthy. The facility is always clean and well-kept. They offer various activities, and even though my mother hasn't joined any yet, she knows she can if she wants to.

"Expensive Costs"
I visited The Gardens to ask about information, but they were too pricey. The front desk staff seemed friendly, and the place was clean and attractive. Unfortunately, no one followed up with me.

"Wonderful Care with Friendly Staff and Fun Activities!"
A doctor visits the community on Fridays, so my loved ones get better medical care now. They also get free rides to doctor appointments twice a week. The staff is friendly and checks in often. They get three healthy meals a day. Plus, there are church services, bingo, and movie nights. This place offers excellent care and activities.

"Cozy Assisted Living: Great Care, Homey Atmosphere Needed, More Activities"
This place gives really good care. We like the food, but it feels more like a restaurant than a cozy home. They need to tidy up the dining area better after meals. Also, they should offer more activities. It's a good deal and we'd tell others about it for sure.

"Beautiful place, recommended to friends, Mom’s friend moving in!"
Since moving Mom into the Gardens, I had to increase her care to make sure she gets the attention she needs, but everything has been really good! The facility is beautiful, and the residents seem very happy. I’ve even recommended this place, and now Mom’s best friend will be moving in too!

"Brand New Assisted Living Facility: Beautiful but Empty"
This assisted living facility is super new and looks amazing inside! It's really up to date. Though, since it's so fresh and new, there aren't any gorgeous gardens or lands full of trees yet. It was really quiet and there didn't seem to be a lot of stuff happening. It was kind of sad because we didn't see many people around. We got there around 1:00pm and expected to see folks in the dining room but it was empty. They do have lots of nursing services available, so it might be a good fit for someone who needs extra care. The apartments are really nice and modern, but there aren't any balconies or patios. There's also not much to see when you look outside.

"Very Nice Place"
The Gardens at Brook Ridge is a really good place for my mother-in-law. She does complain sometimes about her medication requests not being handled in the friendliest or most professional way. She wants it when she wants it, and they aren't always accommodating. Overall, it's a very nice place and things have gone well.

"Pretty good overall!"
The staff here is really helpful! My mom wishes the bingo games were more consistent because they cancel if fewer than two people show up. The beautician is strict with her hours, so if you're the fifth person in line, you might not get served. A few times, I had to take her to a salon outside instead of her getting her hair done here.

"New facility with friendly staff and room for improvement"
The Gardens at Brook Ridge is a new facility and very clean. The staff is nice, friendly, and welcoming. They’re doing a good job but still have some things to improve. The activities aren’t very popular. I visit my loved one every day for lunch and see the place often. Overall, The Gardens at Brook Ridge is a really nice place.

"Beautiful Place, But Frustrating Lack of Communication"
We enrolled my mother at The Gardens at Brook Ridge last May, but their communication has not been impressive. There have been constant delays, and they never reach out to give me information. I'm always the one having to drop in or call them to know what's happening. On a positive note, the facility is indeed gorgeous and offers everything needed for someone in my mom's situation.
