"Friendly and Responsive Staff Create Family-Like Atmosphere"
The employees at Hardens of Bellaire are really nice and friendly, like a big family. They're easy to chat with and always ready to answer any questions. I think other people would like it here too!

""Terrifying Experience with Assisted Living Communication""
We struggle to reach our family member. They hardly let us talk. They tell us to ring when they're not around. It looks like our family member is on strong meds and fading quicker. This has been the most upsetting and terrible thing.

"Disappointed with Dirty Tables and Lack of Help"
When my relatives visited this place, they were given a form to complete. They sat at a table to fill it in but it was dirty. They moved to another table, but that one was shaky. They eventually tossed the form and didn't have a tour of the place. No one was there to help them.

"Positive Visit!"
I had a good experience at this community for my loved one. The tour was nice, and they offered many great amenities to all the residents. Unfortunately, it wasn't within my loved one's budget to live there.

"Good Tour of this Facility"
My dad and I had a nice tour of this place. Everything looked great—clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and polite. Overall, it was a good experience, but my dad liked another community better.

"Great memory care program, better than high-end options!"
We are really happy with this place. When we were looking at options, it was clear my mother needed memory care. When we toured The Gardens, they were just starting a memory care program. It has worked out great. I've seen some high-end memory care units, and this one is the best. I’m very pleased.

"Pleasant Tour!"
I had a great tour at The Gardens of Bellaire. The older building was clean and well maintained. They offered delicious meals during the tour. Although we chose another community for different reasons, this place was very nice.

"Peace of Mind!"
My mom hasn't been here long, but I'm happy with the care they provide. She adjusted well and feels at home. The staff are friendly, attentive, and positive. I feel at ease knowing she's there. I'd recommend this place to anyone considering assisted living.

"Consider for a good time: Assisted living with friendly staff"
I liked the place and how clean it was. The staff was nice and caring. They didn't really talk about extra costs though. They have lots of fun things to do for active people. I think others would like the care here overall.

"Pleasant Visit, Mixed Value"
I visited this place when I was searching, and it seemed quite pleasant. However, I didn’t feel the value was outstanding. I discovered another spot equally nice, but it offered more for the same price.

"No callbacks at assisted living, I'm angry and disappointed!"
I'm once again feeling let down and upset this week, and there doesn't seem to be any solution in sight. But now, five days later, I still haven't heard back from either one. Today, I even called the nurse's station to ask for something common—help for my brother's sore throat. But, nothing; no one picked up though I did leave a message. As of now, it's been 4 hours later and still no word from anyone. Is anyone surprised that I'm feeling upset?

"Exemplary in Every Way"
I had three strokes recently and went to the Gardens after leaving Houston Methodist. It was an amazing experience. Rodney, the director, was really nice and helped me settle in. The nurses and aides were friendly and took great care of me. They made sure I felt at home. The physical therapy staff worked wonders—I was walking again within a month. Now, I've been back home for over three months and fully recovered. I highly recommend them if you or a loved one gets sick.

"The Gardens of Bellaire: A True Blessing"
My mom is 96. She moved to Houston from Austin 1.5 years ago. She has been through independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and back to assisted living. The Gardens of Bellaire has given her the best quality of life she can have right now. The staff at The Gardens of Bellaire are loving, efficient, and truly caring. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone gets the best service for a reasonable cost. This can be a tough time for families, but I feel so lucky to have found The Gardens of Bellaire for my mom.

"Gardens of Bellaire: Poor Communication and Unfulfilled Promises"
I relocated my brother to the Gardens of Bellaire from a terrible nursing home. At first, it seemed nice but it's been disappointing. Communication is lacking. I live far away, so I wanted someone at Gardens to keep me updated. Despite my numerous calls to iron out problems, their social worker, was too busy or unresponsive. She later went on maternity leave and I'm unsure if anyone stood in for her. Calls to the nursing station were fruitless. I called this morning about my brother's health and she was supposed to follow up and call me back. I've received no response. My brother is begging me to leave. Their hold messages talk a lot about the care and concern for their residents. Laughable! It's hard to pick the right place, but I would suggest looking elsewhere.

"I Just Can't Say Enough About This Place!"
I can't say enough good things about this place. The Gardens of Bellaire is always super clean. Everyone works hard without complaining. I really love the food—almost every meal feels like a great dinner. I'm so happy living here and feel lucky to be close to my church. I love everyone here! If I could, I'd rate this place a 6 out of 5!

"Roaches and Smelly Clothes Sour Assisted Living Experience"
Two of my relatives shared a room in this assisted living center. The costs for the living assistance services were really high and really not equal to the value provided. The food they served was bad and didn't have much variety. If a resident couldn't eat in the big dining room, they'd bring food to their room, but make you pay extra. The laundry room was too small and after clothes were washed, they always had a weird, old smell and even got smaller. So many staff members were always coming and going, making it tough to keep track. Not all of the workers were nice and cared about the residents. Sometimes, they took a while to answer when someone pressed a call button. Also, we were told there would be daily rides for medical visits, but they actually only happened two times a week. Sometimes, there would be big cockroaches just walking around the place. One time, a person who helped with medication dropped a pill on the floor and still tried to give it to my mom. She didn't take it because she'd seen roaches near the medicine cart. Mostly, our time there wasn't joyful or nice. However, I will say good job to Cedric, the social events coordinator, who tried his best to make fun activities for the residents and their families.

"Great Assisted Living Facility"
It's a great place for assisted living. We planned to go there, but our situation changed. It wasn't the best fit anymore. It would have limited her social interaction and increased the cost for us. However, they excel at socializing with residents and providing excellent care.

"Understaffed, Negligent, and Unsafe Nursing Home Experience"
My review pertains to the nursing section of this facility. Our experience was beyond terrible. Firstly, there were not enough staff. Often we saw residents just dumped in chairs, sitting all day long. Many times, it was horrifying to find my family member slipped into awful positions in his wheelchair and left unattended. The diet was dreadful too. They gave no thought to creating a healthy or balanced meal plan. Once, my family member even received raw chicken. A relative found him extremely sick. When we rushed him to the hospital, the diagnosis was severe dehydration compounded by wrong medication. I highly recommend staying away from this place.

"Decent Facility, Needs Better Management and Mail Handling"
My relative stayed at this place for a while until we had to move her nearer to us. She had a good time, but I always had a tough time interacting with them. Finding the folks in charge was hard and they hardly ever dealt with my concerns quickly. We often had trouble with lost or misplaced mail too. But they did serve good meals. The food tasted nice, there were usually many options available and they were happy to make simple stuff not on the menu.

"Expensive Small Studio in Assisted Living Facility with 96 Residents"
Small studio apartment costs $3100 for 252 square feet. There are 96 residents living here with a total of 102 staff members. This is too expensive.

"Remarkable staff but facility and food lack the same care"
The workers here are generally thoughtful and really good. However, some can be difficult but they manage to do their tasks. We picked this place because the staff seemed approachable and the location works well for us. The meals are fairly dull, and not very creative or unique. They aren't bad, just common canned goods like bland soups. The dining staff sometimes hurriedly cleans up while people are still eating, which isn't great. The wine they serve isn't the best, but it's nice to have the option. They keep the place fairly clean and the table flowers are pleasant. Their kitchen entryway isn't as clean. The cutlery and plates are worn out. The facility is a bit run-down but they're currently renovating it. The staff is truly caring. They take great care of her. I wasn't happy when I had to clean her room for an hour. There were some small things overlooked, like making items accessible to her or ensuring she can move around easily in her room.' .

"Regrettable Experience: Unfit Rooms, Slow Response and Bad Food"
I made the decision to have my family member go here for recovery, but I knew almost immediately it was a wrong move once we got him to his room. I started the process to move him elsewhere before I even left the premises. The room was really not well-prepared for someone with physical disabilities. Additionally, when my Dad faced a critical situation, their response to his call bell was much too slow. The food was also downright bad, and he started to lose weight until I began bringing him meals myself.

**Review of Assisted Living Search for My Mother-in-Law** Carol Kalmanoff was amazing in helping me find a new home for my mother-in-law. She needed to move from independent living to assisted living, so I reached out to Carol since she had already helped us with the independent living facility. Carol arranged visits to several assisted living places and gave me detailed information about each one. We toured the options and I was able to make a quick decision. Carol was very helpful, always responsive, and professional. She answered all my questions and even checked in after the tours to see if I needed more help. I gave her my requirements, and she found a great, affordable place just one freeway exit away from my home. It’s super convenient for me, and my mother-in-law loves it. She’s getting involved in activities she wouldn’t have tried before. Thanks, Carol!

"Pricey!"
My wife and I visit every week. It's nice, but it costs a lot—$1000 per star! They do a good job, though. We have friends there and join an activity once a week. You need resources.

"Top-Notch Care with Delicious Meals!"
This place is really good. I get a lot of help here, but it's hard to say how much it costs because it depends on what you need. Since it's a place for people with severe Alzheimer's, it's understandable. But they do a great job with what they offer. My family member has been here for over 4 years, so I know the staff and how things work. Everything is going well, which is why I brought other family members here too. I checked out other places, but none were as good as The Gardens. At first, my family enjoyed some of the activities and shows, although it's not always perfect. But they try their best. The food is amazing, better than anywhere else. My family loves it, and they even cater to special diets.

"Limited Amenities, Affordable Pricing"
This assisted living facility has no kitchen, just a small fridge and microwave. The smaller room costs $3000, while the medium-sized one is $3500. Make sure to check what level of care is included in the base price. They offer shuttle services on Tuesdays and Thursdays for medical appointments and weekly shopping trips. Skilled nursing staff are available, and there’s an onsite nurse from 6 am to 10 pm. Personal laundry is included in the price.
