"Inadequate Cleaning & Safety Issues Overshadow Positive Aspects at Facility"
This facility seriously needs a good cleaning and maintenance work. There were several reasons making us think twice before considering this place. The floors were downright dirty and required either total replacement or at least a thorough steam cleaning. Large trash cans were just left unattended in the corridors, posing a threat to the residents. The floor of the medication room was peeling off and needed to be replaced immediately, plus there was litter strewn on the floor - like crushed medication paper cups. It just seemed pure laziness not to clean up the mess. However, despite all this, the dining room folks were happy and the food smelled appetizing. But, there was some liquid spilled near the self-service beverage station - another probable hazard for the residents. Moreover, during our tour, we noticed two bulky trash cans and a cleaning trolley with brooms and a mop blocking the emergency exit near the dining room, which is not safe at all. Adding to our concerns, during the tour a bread sales representative stopped the person giving our tour to discuss overdue payments - not professional! In the kitchen, a staff member interrupted us, insisting he needed to talk urgently with our tour guide, clearly upset about something.

"Clean Appearance, Poor Food Quality, Lack of Communication"
I have my mom at this place. It looks nice and clean at first, but it's been getting less clean lately. The food is bad and needs to get better! I wanted to talk to a boss a while ago, but that never happened. This place is owned by Capital Senior Living, and I've asked someone from the main office to contact me.

Everything is going well for my parents since they moved here. It’s a good place, and I’m happy with their move. The staff is really good and always willing to help. It’s been a good experience for us, and I would recommend it.

"Good place, but overpriced and small rooms"
This was a good and welcoming place. However, we felt it was a bit too expensive for what it offered. Also, they didn't have the right room size for her.

"Friendly Staff, Quick Help, Overall Satisfied with The Good Place"
The staff at The Good Place are really nice and always ready to help with any issues. One night, she got sick and we needed to clean up. The supplies were locked away, but the staff quickly came to assist us. I don’t have any complaints about this place. Overall, I’m happy with it.

"Great food, caring staff, and enjoyable activities."
My mother has only been at The Good Place for two weeks, but she’s already very happy. The food is much better than at her old place. Director Sam Payne regularly talks with residents to address their concerns. She enjoys the Sunday church service and weekly Bible study. The staff is friendly and helpful.

"Cozy Community with Good Care but Some Issues to Address"
So far, we're really happy with this community! It’s small, cozy, and feels like home. I think they might be a little short on staff, but they still take good care of everyone. They could offer more different activities, though. We've had some problems with a few of my loved one's things going missing, but we’re trying to solve this with the community.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
My mom is at the facility, and she’s okay. It’s not my favorite place, but Mom needs their care. The caregivers are nice, but it smells. The food isn’t great, and sometimes they wait a long time for meals. The activities seem limited, but Mom’s memory isn’t reliable due to early-stage dementia.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short: Misleading Promises, Poor Support"
My mother-in-law had to sell her house because her son, who lived with her, passed away unexpectedly. Her doctor said she couldn't live alone. She chose assisted living for the support she needed. We were told that her husband's VA benefits would cover $1000-1200 a month, starting from the first day, though it might take 6 months to process. Unfortunately, this wasn't true. After 7 months, she was broke, and the VA hadn't come through. Eleven months later, her claim was rejected because her husband didn't serve in Vietnam, and her income was too high. The staff knew this from the start. Despite having serious medical conditions like Atrial Fibrillation CHF and diverticulitis, they wouldn't accommodate her dietary needs. She wasn't satisfied with the activities offered, except for church. Her apartment had flooding issues from the neighbor's toilet overflow. She was still grieving and found it hard to adjust. She had issues with a couple of nurses, though I didn't see any mistreatment. Because of the lies and inadequate food she lost 20 pounds, I can't recommend this place.

A Place For Mom Customer
"Friendly, homey assisted living with happy, active residents."
I toured the facility with the Director of Marketing. We saw different types of rooms: Studio, Studio Deluxe, and One Bedroom Suite (which has 2 rooms, a bath, and a kitchenette). The atmosphere was warm and friendly. I saw several residents in the hall, their rooms, and the beauty shop who seemed happy. The dining area had individual tables with tablecloths. The food selection was listed on a chalkboard. All the common areas were nicely decorated and felt homey. Overall, it's a very nice place where residents were active and enjoying themselves.
