"Friendly staff but lacks activity rooms."
Everyone at The Heritage at Hunters Chase was super friendly during our tour. What held us back from choosing this place was they didn't have any specific common rooms for activities.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living"
Our family visited in person, and nothing stood out negatively. The community was clean, but the price felt a bit high. However, the sales team was too pushy and aggressive, which turned us off.

"Review: Severely Short-Staffed, Searching For Dad's New Home"
There's hardly any staff here. I've got to find a better place for my dad.

"Great Care, But Watch for Communication Issues"
This place is really good, but if your loved one has diabetes, you need to make sure they get the care they need. They can handle special diets. Sometimes, there are communication problems between the staff and family.

"Mixed Experience with Staff During Transition"
Consider other places too. Pick a community after checking several options to make the best choice for your family. Unfortunately, during my loved one's transition, I couldn't reach them. I hoped the staff would offer more assistance.

"Not Recommended"
The community didn't keep their promises. My loved one's small apartment was dirty, had the wrong refrigerator, and broken blinds. They knew about this for over a month before my loved one moved in. There's been a lot of staff turnover. They mess up with medications, but it's never their fault. The staff is lazy, yells at my loved one, and is rude. The food isn't what they promised, and it's cold. The staff and my loved one tell different stories. During recent storms, they were the only place that had to evacuate. They went to a church without showers. My loved one wants to stay there because the volunteers are nice.

"Great value but staff turnover affects care quality"
This is the second-best place in northwest Austin and the best value for your money. The other option is much more expensive. The care is good, but sometimes staff turnover and availability are issues. The biggest problem is that they use contracted staff, which can disrupt care since these staff members don't know your loved one. Still, I'm very thankful for how they took care of my loved one.

"Mixed Feelings about The Heritage at Hunters Chase"
The Heritage at Hunters Chase seemed nice overall. The lobby was bright, and the receptionist was friendly. However, the person I met with was new, only there for six weeks. They required face masks for meetings, which was fine, but the person I met with wore hers incorrectly, which made me uneasy. She couldn't answer all my questions well either. The facility isn't as nice-looking as where my parents are now, but it's cheaper. The apartment we saw was spacious, and I appreciated the Veterans discount. However, there's only one nurse, who's been there for six months. I worry about his workload, especially being on call after 40 hours a week. I'm concerned that the issues prompting my search for a new facility, like caregiver shortages and poor communication, might be the same elsewhere. Despite being honest about my parents' needs, the facility said they could handle it, but the limited caregiver staff makes it tough. It's crucial to find a place where the care matches what you pay.

"Great Staff Cares for Residents"
The assisted living facility had a very professional and helpful staff. They always seemed genuinely concerned about finding the right fit for my father.

"Happy with staff and care at Heritage at Hunters Chase"
I’ve been really happy with the staff and how they care for my relative. When I’ve pointed out issues, they’ve listened and fixed them quickly. I live a few hours away, and they always answer my calls and emails right away, which really matters to me. We checked out about ten places before choosing Heritage at Hunters Chase. I recommend visiting different times to see where you and your loved one feel most comfortable. Also, I suggest using A Place for Mom to help guide your search and understand what to look for.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
Staff is friendly and helpful. The place is simple and okay. I enjoyed the Studio with a courtyard view—it's close to me. There's a mix of people living there. The facilities are a bit old but functional, with some stained carpets. Meals seem okay, though not very healthy. Price is moderate. was great at answering questions and giving a tour.

"Great renovations, but social fit may not be ideal for younger residents"
I love that it's recently renovated! The location is great, but my sister-in-law is only 60, and the closest woman to her age is 70. I know it's an assisted living facility, but I’m not sure if it will be a good social fit for her.

"Elegant and Caring Community"
We visited this lovely place for my mom's care. The staff was friendly and answered all our questions. The rooms are small but feel very cozy. They have outings for the residents. It's a bit more expensive, but it's worth it for the great care and value.

"Mixed Feelings on Clean Assisted Living Tour"
I went to check out this place with my family. It looked tidy and the person showing us around was friendly and knew a lot. They were fixing up the place, but it kind of felt more like an office than a cozy home.

"Unfinished Construction and Unhappy Workers at Elderly Care Facility"
Heritage will be a good place once it's all built, but it's not fair to move my elderly, mentally-challenged Dad into a place that's more a construction zone than a home right now. Plus, I happened to hear some of the staff talking outside, and they were complaining about management, which has me concerned for my Dad's care. I didn't see any residents as old as my Dad, and the ones I did see were in better physical shape and seemed okay with the ongoing construction.
