"Friendly staff, but sometimes short-handed post-COVID"
Overall, we had a good experience here. Sometimes it felt like they didn’t have enough staff, which might be common after COVID. However, everyone was very friendly and eager to help make sure our loved one was well cared for.

"Subpar experience due to food and cleanliness; lacking transportation."
Not great. Food and cleanliness need improving. Activities okay. No transportation.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
A family member used to live here, but we've since moved her elsewhere. At first, things seemed fine, but problems soon arose. The kitchen and dining area floors were not clean and were often slippery, which was a concern. The meals were okay, but they mostly served chicken and lots of rice. There wasn't much variety, and if you asked for something different, you had to wait a long time. For example, a baked potato took 40 minutes. We didn't receive any communication from the facility. On top of that, we were billed too much and are still trying to get it sorted out. I'm aware that they've switched managers and are attempting to make improvements since we left. However, our experience was not positive.

"Untrained Staff and Poor Living Conditions at Assisted Living Facility"
The staff aren't trained at all. There are problems with the handling of medication. My room had mold in it. The owner was very unpleasant. They made a lot of mistakes while assessing things. There were no care plans to be seen. They promised a lot but didn't follow through. The safety of the residents was not taken seriously.

"Nice Community, But Preferred Memory Care Elsewhere"
The community was nice and they did a lot for the residents. We liked another place better because it had memory care.

"Mixed Experience at The Ivy of McKinney Assisted Living"
The Ivy of McKinney could be great, it's super clean, but we keep facing some annoying issues. Many staff are nice, but the main nurse sometimes seems lost. When we ask questions, we don't always get clear answers. They should improve how they organize things and talk with families.

"Unprofessional Assisted Living Facility Fails to Provide Proper Care"
Worst place I've ever seen! This assisted living center is in complete disarray. We had a terrible time from the start. They repeatedly messed up my dad's medication. The main nurse, whose name I've omitted, is not organized or professional. I went to the facility to request his medicine list, and she made excuses to avoid giving it to me. Even after I spoke with the director , and obtained the medicine list and log, there were errors in timings for several medicines. The director promised to correct these mistakes in their system and email me a copy, but failed to do so despite my follow-ups via email and text. Not only is the director unprofessional, but they also show blatant disregard for their duties. There was also one occasion when they said they hadn't given my father his medications at the wrong time, but our spy camera showed otherwise. Their dishonesty was appalling. Furthermore, one of their medical technicians, whose name I've also removed, was really disrespectful to my dad on several occasions. If you genuinely value the wellbeing of your beloved ones, search for an alternative home for them.

"Unreliable and Disorganized Assisted Living Home"
Our loved one was at this assisted living home for a few months before we chose to remove him due to multiple slip-ups. They messed up everything from what he ate to when and how much medicine he was given. The people working there are all over the place, they don't talk to each other, and they just point fingers instead of owning up to their problems. This includes the nurses, medical techs, front desk staff, and more. I would never suggest this place to anyone - they're just not reliable.

"Memory Care Separated, Small Population:"
I really liked the unit, but they didn’t show me the exercise room, which is something I think is important. The population here is pretty small, and I’m a bit worried about the memory care being in a separate building.

"Amazing Care and Love at This Facility"
I can't say enough good things about this place. My sister has been living here since August 2019. It was really hard for her to leave her home, but the care and love she gets here are wonderful. The staff, from the administration to the dining room helpers, are great. We've gotten to know all of them and feel like they're part of our family. [Name removed] is doing so well under their care. Their love for her, and her love for them, grows stronger every day. She understands the challenges they face each day. We were worried when the owners changed, but the transition has been amazing. Having so many people in one place who care about the residents is awesome. Thank you to all the staff for keeping the residents safe during the pandemic. We know how hard you've worked to keep them safe. You are appreciated more than you will ever know. God bless you all!

"Lackluster Atmosphere and Rushed Tour in Assisted Living Facility"
I visited this place for a tour. The staff was friendly, but the tour seemed hurried. The entrance area was dimly lit, and many residents were there, but not actively engaged. It didn't feel lively or cheerful enough for me, so I decided it wasn't the right place for me.
