"Underwhelming Assisted Living Experience"
I didn't like The Pointe at Cedar Park much. The buildings were old, and the person who showed me around seemed like they wanted me to leave quickly.

"Great food and caring staff in a clean, supportive environment"
Food is great, which matters a lot. The staff is helpful and really cares about the clients. The place is very clean, and the staff is positive and kind. They genuinely care about the clients. I also appreciate the daily rides and the rides to doctor appointments.

"A Loving Home for Your Loved Ones!"
We couldn’t be happier with the care our 101-year-old grandmother is getting at The Pointe! Jessica Garza is like an Angel on Earth who goes above and beyond to make the residents feel loved and special. The whole staff and management earn our highest respect!

"Decent Community, Needs Better Care and More Engagement"
My mom stays at this assisted living community, it's somewhat satisfactory but there's room for improvements. The place is neat and has a resort-like ambiance. However, they weren't prompt in attending to her urinary tract infection. Also, there's a delay when she requests assistance. The staff seems to be insufficient, and I'd prefer if they motivated her to participate in the daily activities. Additionally, I'd appreciate if they'd check on her meals. Despite these, the housekeeping is fairly good at maintaining cleanliness and sorting out the laundry. I'd still endorse this community.

"Tough Transition Smooths Out Over Time!"
My mom recently moved into this living facility and it was initially challenging. The team was not ready for her arrival and lacked organization in her care planning. This made it tough on our family in the first couple of weeks. However, I must admit that things have gotten better since then. I would still like to see more staff employed to cater to everyone's needs. It feels like they're short-staffed. One plus is their awesome happy hour, which mom occasionally loves. I should also mention that some dedicated workers always go above and beyond for the residents.

"Great care and friendly staff make this community worth a visit"
We visited this community to find the right care for my mom. We wanted a room where she would feel at ease. The staff were friendly and answered all our questions. The menu seemed tasty, and there are fun activities for residents who want to join in. We think other families should definitely check out this place for the great care and value it provides.

"Friendly Staff, Tasty Meals!"
My family member just started living in this place, and it’s been pretty good so far. I wish the people working here showed a bit more spark – that’s my tip for them. The care is good, and I’m okay with it, but I’d be happier if the staff smiled more and seemed to like their jobs. My aunt gets to eat at least one of the three yummy meals they serve every day, and she really likes them.

"Great Care and Friendly Staff for Your Loved Ones"
I’m really pleased with the care my husband gets here. We love the staff and their excellent care. The menu is good, though sometimes there isn’t quite enough variety. They offer a lot of fun activities for him to join in with the other residents. The staff are very friendly and make you feel at ease. We strongly recommend this place for taking care of your loved ones.

"Lack of Care and Hygiene for Elders at the Pointe"
My mom's currently a resident at the Pointe. It's terrible how they treat her there. They irresponsibly leave her sitting in filthy, soaked diapers for days on end. She's even gone a whole month without a shower. Understandably, her room and she herself smell of urine. Whenever confronted, they brush it off by casually saying that she refuses a bath or a diaper change. There's a total lack of trained individuals to tackle such situations. They constantly fail to meet the health and care requirements outlined in the contract we had. It seems like they lack empathy and consideration for her wellbeing. I've had to hire additional help to supplement their inadequate services. I've done her bathing, laundry, and diaper changing. I was compelled to get external assistance. I've planned to move her out by this month's end. Already, she's fallen several times and has been consequently admitted to the hospital thrice. It's clear that this place is seriously understaffed and poorly trained, hardly fit for anyone to live in, let alone the elderly. My poor 100-year-old mother living here seems almost cruel. I absolutely can't recommend this place to anyone.

"Nice Community for the Right Person"
Everyone at this place was really nice and friendly. I visited it for my mother-in-law and her needs. Everything went smoothly, and it's a pleasant community. They answered all my questions. However, I felt like my mother-in-law required more care than they could offer. Overall, it's a good community for the right person, but not the right fit for us.

"Great Community for Pets and Residents with Helpful Staff!"
I really liked The Pointe At Cedar Park. They let pets stay there, which is awesome! They also have transportation if you need it. If you need special meals, they try to help you get them. The person who showed me around knew a lot about what they have there.

"Contentment in Community, Improvements Needed"
The place needs a bit more upkeep, but efforts are underway. The meals were hard for my sister to consume. They have good activities, but I'm unsure if she was able to participate in many. Overall, we liked the community.

"Unresponsive Assisted Living Facility; Trust Broken, Loved One Neglected"
My family member lived at this place for about a year. She complained about the staff members not answering and not receiving her prescribed medications. The facility would contradict her claims, assuring me that her needs were met. Her health, however, kept deteriorating. One traumatic night, she fell and no one responded to her calls for help. Desperate, she rang me. Despite multiple tries, I was unable to reach the facility on different numbers, notwithstanding their policy of keeping phones accessible. Ultimately, I was forced to call the fire department. Even they couldn't receive a response for over an hour. In an attempt to deny this incident, the facility stated that their system recorded a response time of twelve minutes and asserted that computers never lie. My advice is to steer clear of this place. Initially, it appeared decent, raising my hopes high enough that I would have considered admitting myself there. However, soon after we arrived there was a massive staff reshuffling. I noticed dishonesty among the staff, and this could seriously harm patients.

"Pleasant Facility, Proper Care Uncertain"
My mom recently moved into this assisted living home. Unfortunately, she had to be taken to the hospital not long after and isn't able to return due to a lack of qualified nursing care. The facility is pleasant but I'm not sure if they're adequately meeting my mom's needs. On the bright side, they have a nice dining room and the hairstylist does an excellent job. I remain unsure about whether or not it's the right fit for my mom's care requirements though.

"Facility Neglects Mom: Weight Plummets, Falls Ignored"
My mom dropped 15 pounds in a month at this facility since nobody bothered to wake her up for meals. They just let her sleep non-stop until she weighed only 95 pounds, and she's 5'8"! She fell several times and was left lying on the floor for who knows how long until someone found her.

"Extra Charges for Small Services"
My brother-in-law chose The Pointe because it's close to family. I thought it looked nice, it's new, easy to get to, and near shops and restaurants. My mother-in-law loves the food and really likes it there; she’s very positive about The Pointe. Her room is nice, but the bathroom is very small. She has her own AC unit and a nice window with a view. The dining room looks good and she says the food is really good. They allow therapy dogs, which I thought was nice. When I visited, I didn't see many employees, so they might have a higher resident-to-staff ratio than other places. I noticed their response time is slower. My mother-in-law had her meal delivered to her room and was charged $3, which I thought was ridiculous. Maybe that's standard, but she had to sign for the $3 delivery fee when they brought her meal.
