"Mixed Experience with Communication, Pleasant Staff and Activities"
My mom enjoyed her time at The Reserve. She liked playing bingo, made friends, and wanted to join the book club. She also thought the food was really good. But, it was really hard to get someone to respond when we tried to contact them. We tried for weeks in person, by email, and leaving voicemails. Finally, when we did talk to someone, they were great. They were very helpful and nice when we asked about assisted living options. They were also kind and supportive when we told them about mom passing away. We understand that they, like many places, are short-staffed and very busy. The staff was always nice and helpful. We worked with [name removed] a lot, and he was awesome! The front desk staff was friendly and helpful too.

"Great Staff, Good Food, Room for Improvement"
The staff here is really good. They gave us a meal right away, and then we talked to the boss. The food in the dining room was very good. The outside area wasn't as nice as some other places we looked at.

"A Nice Experience with Room for Improvement"
The staff is super friendly, and the activities have been awesome. We just wish they had more assistance available. Sometimes, when we call at night, no one’s at the front desk or the nurses’ station. Communication could be better, but overall, it’s been a nice experience, and our loved one is doing well.

"Great place with friendly staff, clean suites, and good food"
I'm very happy with my choice. I love the people here and feel comfortable in my suite. It's clean and neat. The activities are great, and the food is delicious. The bistro is fabulous, and the dining room food is good, though they’ve cut back a little, probably because of inflation. Like many places, they’re dealing with Covid and staffing issues. They're even hiring a new manager. Despite this, everyone is very friendly, and the staff we have are excellent. It's a wonderful place to be.

"Assisted Living Facility Lacks Comprehensive Care Options"
The Reserve mostly offers independent living. Assisted living felt added on. Not ideal for Dad. No memory care available for potential future needs. Wanted continuity options.

"Friendly staff, clean facilities, great tour, and welcoming atmosphere"
It was really helpful and answered all my questions. She gave me a full tour and showed me 6 different apartments. She took the time to chat with me, and I was impressed by many things about The Reserve. I really like that you can have an assisted living apartment close to an independent one. Everyone I met was friendly and welcoming, including the residents. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. It looks great, and the activity centers are easy to get to.

"Satisfied with great staff, activities, and fair cost"
I've had a good experience in the several months I've been here. It's common for residents to stay for 10 years or more, which shows that the services are well-liked. People who've been here for a long time generally have a positive outlook. The staff is great, though they're short-staffed like everywhere else. They've had trouble hiring workers for the dining room and other services. The ones who are here are excellent and hardworking, but they could use more help. Long-term residents say the food has changed—they used to serve steak and shrimp, but now it's more chicken and fish. I understand they have to balance offering good services while sticking to a budget. Residents from other communities say the food here is much better. The dining staff is excellent—efficient and very friendly. The dining manager does a great job. They offer lots of activities like arts, crafts, games, bingo, and Bible studies. They've also started trips to places like Kroger and Target again, which I've found well-managed and helpful. The program director does a wonderful job, and the woman at the front desk is just fantastic—she's joyful, efficient, and professional. For the quality we receive, I think the cost is fair. So far, I'm satisfied with what I'm paying and getting.

"Lack of Communication and Oversight in Assisted Living"
We moved our loved one in the middle of summer, and they had to keep her in quarantine for a few days as a precaution. During that time, they forgot to bring her meals, and we had to remind them. No one made sure she knew how to order food from the menu. For the next few months, it felt like we were just paying for an apartment with food delivery. Unfortunately, she fell and ended up in the hospital, but we didn't find out until two days later. The hospital notified us, not the community. When she first came to the community, they didn't review her paperwork. So, when she went to the hospital, they called the wrong number from the paper and left a message. There were no follow-ups to make sure our family was aware of her situation.

The apartments and the community really impressed me. The apartments are a nice size and the assisted living facility is quite large. The lack of memory care was the deciding factor in not choosing them.

"Feels Like Home"
I really like this community I moved into. The staff are caring and always ready to help. The menu is good, but it could be better. I can cook if I want to. They have lots of fun activities to choose from. I appreciate how clean and well-kept the community is. I highly recommend this place to others.

"Not Satisfied: Living Center Needs Better Care"
Switching to this living center has been tough for me. Many parts of this place could do with some fixing up. I was promised a spotless apartment, but it was far from that. The place had an issue with bugs. They're not quick when it comes to addressing problems. The employees seemed really nice at first, but over time they've become less friendly. I'm still trying to settle in this place.

"Amazing community with great staff and amenities for your loved one"
I can’t say enough good things about The Reserve at North Dallas Senior Living. After searching all over for the best place for my father, I found this amazing community. I wanted a place with all the right amenities for him, and this place had everything. From our first visit, we saw how kind and warm the staff was and how friendly the other residents were. The community looks beautiful after a makeover and has plenty of activities, home health services, and is close to shopping and doctors. Medical City is nearby, and it's easy to arrange transportation. We tried the food and loved all the options, feeling like we were at a fancy resort. My dad has moved in and is happier than I’ve ever seen him, with no complaints. For the first time, I feel he’s living a full life in a place where he’s truly cared for and appreciated.

"Wonderful place with friendly staff and happy residents"
I recently went to check out this place for my grandma, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. I really liked that they had an entertainer during the mix and mingle event. The other residents seemed happy, too. It was a bit pricey for me, but I’d definitely recommend this community. Five stars!

"Less Than Satisfying Experience in Assisted Living Facility"
When I first moved into this assisted living facility, the staff were supportive of my transition. However, my experience since then has been less than ideal. Poor planning meant that many rooms, including mine, were not fitted with cable - and a month after moving in, I'm left still waiting for this service. Thankfully, my room is well-equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, and a full sized fridge. The meals they serve are average but, disappointingly, delivery to my room always feels sluggish. To top it off, my room hasn't had any housekeeping visits as of yet.

"Issues with staff and food quality at this community!"
This assisted living place is having trouble with their management. They've lost a bunch of their employees who work by the hour, which has slowed their response time, although the folks who are still there are pleasant. They're also without a chef now, so the food quality is not great. They're making an effort to keep the place tidy though.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The boss was amazing, making my family feel welcome. So friendly! But the person in charge of transportation was mean. And the medicine part needs to be smoother. Most of the other workers were awesome though. They just changed owners, so things might change.

"Missed Details Impact Experience at Town Village North Dallas"
At Town Village North Dallas, they miss some important details. My dad has been there since September 1st, but he still hasn't been signed up for housecleaning service. Besides that, everything else seems okay. He's been doing the cleaning himself, but they really need to step up.

"Home Away from Home for Mom"
Our mom can't see well. Town Village helped her a lot. They made sure she could do things by herself in her new place. They picked the right spot for her, made sure she could eat well, do fun stuff, and go outside easily. They even changed her home so it's easier for her to see. Our whole family, even mom, is really happy with Town Village.

"Facility Cleanliness and Service Could Be Better"
The place is decent, but there's a swanky new facility built recently. The cleanliness could be upgraded a bit. The housekeeper did half a job while cleaning my father-in-law's room. Overall, it looks like they could use more help with cleaning, and they seem short on kitchen staff. People have to order their meals and wait a while, and the food isn't that great. They offer activities like bingo and card games, although I haven't seen any new ones. They also offer movies and outings. My father-in-law hasn’t joined any of the programs yet.

"Great place with friendly staff and clean facility!"
We visited this community while searching for care options for a loved one. We saw many places, and this one made our short list! It’s a great-looking community with a clean and well-kept facility. The staff are friendly and caring. Although this place is larger than what we think would suit our loved one best, I still recommend checking it out!

"Understaffed Facility with Grade-School Meals but Engaging Activities"
The employees at the facility are nice, but they don't have enough help. They're worn out, especially in the cafeteria. The food reminds me of what you'd get at a grade school. Your meal doesn't come quickly. But there's good stuff, too. The person in charge of games and things like that tries to keep everyone busy, and the workers do try to meet everyone's needs.

"Mostly Good, Some Improvements Needed"
This place is really nice! My family member is happy here, and it's always clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. But they could be better at helping new people fit in socially. Also, they don't always tell us about activities. Sometimes they forget to follow through on small things, like bringing iced tea when promised.
