The Ridglea Assisted Living & Memory Care

"Mixed Experience at Ridglea Assisted Living"
My parent has been at Ridglea for less than 3 years. The Director works really hard, but there's no good follow-through system and not enough checks on following the care plan. Staff turnover is a challenge for everyone. The food quality has declined in the last 4-6 months. The common areas are nice, and the rooms are okay. Cleaning the rooms consistently is a problem. The biggest issue is that you can't reach someone 24/7. If you call during the day, you often don't get a response. If they improve their care system and communication with families, it would be great. There are lovely elderly residents there, and an amazing on-site NP checks on them weekly. However, they don't proactively notify families if an elder stops attending meals or experiences changes in cognition or walking/energy.

"Sister liked a different place."
The assisted living place seemed old and dim. The friendly woman who gave us a tour was positive, but my sister preferred another community.

"Mostly semi-private rooms, few private ones available"
We took a virtual tour of the place. They mostly have semi-private rooms for memory care, though they do offer a few private rooms, but those are usually hard to get.

"Great place, needs more activities for active seniors"
This place is great for your loved ones. The activities are mostly for seniors who need more help, but I wish there were more things for active residents. I would recommend this place to others.

"Communication Woes at Assisted Living Facility"
Wow, the assisted living facility looks amazing! Most of the caregivers are friendly and helpful. But there's a problem with communication. They say they offer 24/7 care, but the phone isn't always answered. I called at 11:00 PM, left messages in two mailboxes, and tried 16 more times overnight. Finally, at 6:30 AM, someone picked up. This isn't the first time it's happened. They really need to fix this issue.

"Great location, friendly staff, and varied activities."
The building is beautifully decorated and has a friendly vibe. The staff are accommodating and respectful to both residents and their families. The apartments are spacious, modern, and have a bright, open layout. After visiting several communities, we chose this one for its location and welcoming feel. The food is good, with many options, specials, and an a la carte menu. Residents also help plan the menu. There are plenty of scheduled activities to enjoy.

"Mixed Experience with Assisted Living Facility"
I thought everyone was friendly and positive, and the place was super clean. But the rooms were different from what I thought they’d be. I’m still figuring things out, though. I was bummed about how they handled rescheduling our meeting (which they asked for), and I had to wait 30 minutes as a new client. I almost left, but then they passed me off to two other folks. Finally, I got the tour and got my questions answered.

"Great Rooms and Friendly Staff"
A really nice place. The rooms are great, and the staff I met were super friendly. It’s definitely on my list to think about.
