"Understaffed Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Promises"
Finding a perfect place can be tough these days, mainly because there aren't enough workers. There just weren't enough staff to help my loved one, especially with bathroom trips. When we voiced concerns, they seemed understanding and promised action, but nothing changed. They even forgot to assign her a mailbox during her whole stay. On the bright side, the facility itself stayed clean. I often saw people cleaning, and they mostly kept my loved one's room tidy.

"Neglect and Broken Promises: A Poor Experience at The Stayton"
The Stayton seems pretty on the outside, but my Dad's experience there was far from good. He stayed on both the assisted living and skilled nursing floors, but didn't get the help he needed. The place promised us things they didn't provide in the end. We kept having to ask them to bill my Dad's insurance and long-term care. It took them forever to finally send us the bills so we could get our money back. My two sisters and I visited our Dad daily. If we weren't there, he wouldn't have had help to go to the bathroom on time, get water, and other basic stuff. Most times, we found his call button on the floor, away from his reach. The rehab staff was pretty lazy too. They'd often say he didn't want to go to rehab and they weren't going to force him - a really convenient excuse. This makes no sense because once he moved to another facility he had no issues going to rehab.

"Mixed feelings about this assisted living facility"
I don't know much about assisted living, but the memory care and nursing home part of this place aren't very good for what they cost. If you do choose to put your loved one there, be cautious and keep an eye on what happens. It might look nice, but that doesn't guarantee it's good.

"Communication could be better, but clean and friendly facility."
The facility is good overall, but there's too much bureaucracy, and communication could be better. They need to inform family members more promptly. It feels like they're reacting instead of planning ahead. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is good. We haven't been here long enough to fully judge the value.

"Good facility, but communication needs improvement for families"
The facility is good. However, there's a lot of red tape, and communication could be better. They need to keep families more informed. The facility seems to react to issues rather than prevent them. It’s clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is good. We haven’t been there long enough to fully assess the value

"Moderately Satisfied with New Assisted Living Facility"
The entrance looks like a fancy Hilton hotel and the hallways remind me of business offices. I only saw and met 2 workers, but they were both friendly. But, this place is hard to find and get into. Plus, for such a new building, the rooms are tiny.

"Amazing Location and Friendly Staff Highly Recommended!"
I toured The Stayton with a family member and was amazed by what it offers. The location in Downtown is perfect, and the views are stunning. The staff was polite and helpful, and they assisted us with everything we needed. The residents were very friendly, and I saw many signs showing different activities available, so there's always something to do. Overall, The Stayton exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it.

"Amazing Assisted Living with Great Views and Exciting Events!"
This community feels like a cruise ship on land! They have everything I could think of. The views, location, and staff are all top-notch. I saw lots of smiling faces when I toured the place. They really understand what a community is all about. I even got to meet Oliver North and Henry Winkler during their Red Carpet Speaker Series. Five stars all around! I hope to move in soon.

"Services depend on resident initiative; could use more proactive help"
The services depend on the resident to ask for them. If someone doesn’t want to be a bother, this might not work well for them. They should do more to offer help without waiting for the resident to ask. We chose this place because they seemed able to meet our needs at first.

"Resident-Driven Services: A Mixed Experience"
This place expects residents to start services themselves. If someone doesn't want to bother others, it might not work well. They should take more initiative in providing services. We picked them because we thought they could adjust to us at first.

"I felt like I was already home!!"
After checking out a bunch of places in the past few weeks, I was getting bored with the same old sales pitches. But then I visited The Stayton, and wow! It felt like stepping into a fancy five-star hotel from the moment I walked into the lobby. The staff greeted us with big smiles, and our counselor was super friendly and genuine. The rooms are gorgeous, and they’ve got all the activities I could hope for. Meeting some of the residents felt like reconnecting with old friends. The Stayton is definitely the best community I’ve seen so far. Can’t wait to move in!

"Beautiful and friendly, but in a busy location"
We visited this place while looking for care options for our loved one. Out of all the places we checked out, this one seemed to be the nicest. It was beautiful, and everyone there was really friendly. The only issue is that it’s in a busy part of town, and I don’t think some of my relatives would find it easy to get to.

"Good care, but too expensive and less convenient"
The place was very good. I would have kept him there, but it was $2,500 more than the other place and not as convenient. The staff were pretty good, though sometimes you had to wait for help because they had more residents. My loved one is incontinent, so it took a while for them to respond, but I think that's common everywhere. Overall, the staff were good, though there were a couple of people we didn't like as much.

"Good, but expensive with slower response times and some staff issues"
The place was very good overall. I might have left him there, but it was about $2500 more expensive than another place and less convenient. The staff were pretty good, but since there were a lot of people, sometimes it took a while to get help. This was a bit of an issue since he is incontinent, so responses took longer. Most of the staff were good, although there were a couple we didn’t like as much.

"Disappointing Therapy and High Cost"
This therapy was really not good - they had temporary people coming in, and it wasn't consistent. They made me go to the therapy center where they put me on a machine and left me alone for up to 45 minutes. Even though the machine was decent, my therapist just did paperwork while I was on it, even if there were no other patients. I heard she's gone now. The place was neat and I liked the others there. The main issue was the therapy and it was way pricier than other places.

"A Lovely Community with Top-Notch Amenities"
This place is really nice! It has great security and lots of living choices. The clubhouse is like a fancy country club, and the staff is super friendly. I checked out both a 2-bedroom apartment and a 2-bedroom villa. Plus, the location is super convenient.
