The Village at Gleannloch Farms

"Disappointing Experience at Gleannloch Farms"
We were misled by The Village at Gleannloch Farms. We thought it was a blessing when we found this place, but it's been a nightmare. We spent most of our savings to 'buy in' and thought we were lucky to avoid the 2008 market crash. But living here is a daily struggle. We're stuck with no freedom, constant maintenance issues, and mediocre food. We regret our decision.

"Mixed Feelings About The Village"
We had a nice tour at The Village. The place looks well-kept, but the social vibe didn't suit my loved one.

"Cozy and welcoming with daily activities concerns about closet size."
The place feels nice and friendly, super clean with two activities daily. The fee doesn't cover giving out meds or laundry. Only issue is the small closets in the apartments.

"Rude Staff and Neglect Concerns in Nursing Facility"
I'm not sure about this place. My Dad stays in the skilled nursing unit. Many of the CNAs there are very rude. One of them. When you ask them for something, they say they don't have time. They come in looking unhappy and are not pleasant to deal with. At 4 am, two CNAs come in, turn on lights without warning to change your loved one. They chat loudly, laugh, and gossip about other employees. When you complain to the supervisor, if you get to talk to her, you're not taken seriously, and the CNA doesn't get told anything. It seems like they're pretending to be better than they are. There's more I could say, but I don't have time. Just know that when your loved one is admitted to skilled nursing, make sure to check on them daily and be ready for neglect and dealing with rude staff because they don't hesitate to be sassy or give dirty looks.

"Pros and Cons in Simple Words"
The place is nice and clean with friendly staff. The people who live there seem happy, and the food options are good. However, there's no fenced area for our dog. There are lots of activities going on, which is nice, but there are no trees around, and it's not close to our doctors or hospitals. We need to talk to our sons about what we can afford. The rooms are small, and some are too small for my sewing machine.

"Great Assistance Finding Parent's Home"
I want to give a shout-out to A Place For Mom for helping me find the right place for my parent. The advisor there was super helpful, telling me about several communities, and she was awesome. The one we ended up choosing was really nice. It's big and a bit far from us, but it's gated and the staff is really friendly. Highly recommend!

"A Calm Community with Room for Improvement"
We took a pleasant tour of this community. The staff was friendly and kind. Everything looked well-maintained. The atmosphere felt calm, but it wasn't as lively as my father had hoped for.

"Chill But Lacks Action"
We got to tour this place and it was pretty cool. The workers were nice and friendly. The place looked neat, everything was pretty clean. The place was chill, but not really active. My dad wanted a place with more action.

"Nice tour, caring staff, financial concerns, recommend for loved ones"
This tour was really nice. The people who worked there were friendly, but they required a down payment that we couldn't afford. Also, they said you could stay there even if you couldn't afford it anymore. We think families should check out this nice place if they need care for someone they love.

"“Caring Community Tour”"
We had a pleasant tour. The staff was friendly, but the down payment didn’t fit our budget. They were flexible about staying longer than necessary. Families should consider touring this caring community.

"Gorgeous community but too pricey for our budget"
Out of all the tours my loved one and I went on, this one was definitely one of our favorites. The community was gorgeous, and the apartments were really big with lots of great amenities. They had many fun activities and different events during the week. However, it was just way too expensive for our budget.

"Declining Quality and Staff Turnover in Assisted Living Facility"
Overall, it's a nice community with friendly people. However, over the 8 years it's been open, the quality of services has dropped. The dining used to be great but has gone downhill due to staff turnover. Now it's just okay, disappointing considering the high monthly fees. The constant turnover of directors and staff is worrying and doesn't show improvement. The health center is the biggest issue. The staff is kind, but there aren't enough of them to give good care. They're always short-staffed, and low pay doesn't motivate them to do better. There's little oversight to fix these problems. Caregivers wait around, and morale is low, so patient care suffers. I'm hesitant to use their healthcare services again.

"Declining Quality at Once Stellar Assisted Living Facility"
Once Stellar Assisted Living Community Declines in Quality". Overall, this community has a lot to offer. It's a really nice place full of lovely people who have created a beautiful neighborhood in the 8 years it's been around. However, the quality of services has experienced a slump. For instance, the dining which started out almost like fine dining has declined. This is after constant changes in staffing and food services. Right now, it's just average, not what you'd expect for what they charge each month. The frequent changing of directors and staff is worrisome and doesn't give much hope for improvement. The most challenging part is the health center. While the staff is incredibly kind-hearted, they clearly are understaffed. Quality care can't be provided with such a bare-bones team. Caregivers aren't paid enough to motivate them to do better. It seems there isn't much effort to fix these issues. Caregivers are just standing around, waiting for someone else to do their work. Low morale hurts the care given to patients. I hesitate to use their healthcare services again.
