"Good care, but food choices and variety need improvement"
It's a nice place. They look after my parents well, but you should visit often. The food is okay, but there aren’t many options, especially for Mediterranean dishes.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
My parents liked this place at first. The manager from years ago was great. The activity director is friendly and loved by many. There are lots of things to do. The food is okay, but sometimes it's better. The staff changes a lot, but there are some awesome aides. The current manager isn't around much and isn't very nice. I've seen residents in wheelchairs pushing themselves back to their rooms after meals while the manager just watches. The nurse sent my family member to the hospital without telling us, but we found our parent after calling 911. The nurse isn't always there. They kept everyone safe during Covid. Our parents moved to a better place. If you're thinking about coming here, ask lots of questions.

"Beautiful facility, many activities; poor communication, not suited for advanced care."
The positive is that it’s a beautiful facility with lots of activities. It’s for lower-level care. Unfortunately, my dad’s dementia meant he wasn’t able to use everything. I felt communication with families was poor.

"Good place, but had mix-up about insulin requirements"
I really liked Anthology of Plano a lot. The only problem was that I called ahead before the tour and was told they accepted residents who needed sliding scale insulin. After taking the whole tour, the nurse said they weren’t accepting patients with that insulin need. So we had a bit of a mix-up. Otherwise, I would have considered them more seriously.

"Corporate Vibe at Anthology of Plano"
I visited Anthology of Plano, and it seemed nice but also very sterile. It felt like a big corporation might run it. Our tour guide hurried us along, and the secretary was matter-of-fact. The welcome wasn’t warm; we preferred another community due to the corporate vibe.

"Good care, but communication and food need improvement"
My loved one is safe at Anthology of Plano, which is great. Still, I have to keep pushing for answers and help because the admin team doesn't always respond to questions or concerns. Also, my loved one doesn't like the food.

"Avoid This Assisted Living Facility"
This place was the worst I've ever lived. The food had no taste, and they barely gave us enough to fill us up. Sometimes they didn't even have enough for everyone. The staff changes a lot, and many of them don't care about what we say or suggest. I wouldn't tell anyone to live here.

"Great place, but check-ins need improvement"
The rooms and layout of the community are amazing, definitely a five out of five. We would recommend it to others. Our loved one had a few hospitalizations, so she wasn’t there very long, but overall it was a good choice. One big issue we had was that they were supposed to check on her sometimes, and before one of her hospitalizations, she was feeling really down and no one noticed, which was a problem.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
You should visit this place yourself to check out what's happening and how it feels. The rooms were nice, but the food was just okay. The staff didn't communicate well with our family. The place looks really nice though, and I'd suggest it to others.

"Great care and food, but not enough for Mom's needs"
We were very happy with this community while Mom stayed there. Sadly, they couldn’t give her the care she needed. Everyone was friendly and paid attention to her needs. Mom enjoyed the food a lot. I would definitely recommend this community.

"Better than most"
My parents moved in, and we're mostly happy. Paperwork takes a while, and the nurse is slow to return calls. I follow up often to make sure things get done. The facility is nice, with great food and friendly people. But more activities could help get my parents out of their apartment.

"Mom Loves Her New Home at Mapleshade!"
We were really impressed with Mapleshade from the moment we walked in. We visited several times, tried the meals, and met different staff members before bringing Mom for a visit. As we were leaving, she said, "I love it!" She recently moved in and is excited about all the activities and delicious food, plus she's making new friends. The staff has been great too. We're so happy that Mom is enjoying her new home.

"Outstanding Culinary Staff Enhances New Resident Experience"
I recently moved to The Village at Mapleshade, and I want to give a big shout-out to the Culinary Staff. They've made my move so much easier. My first meals here have been fantastic way better than I expected. The staff is super nice and pays close attention to what I need. Plus, the menu has lots of great choices. I can’t wait to have my friends and family visit and enjoy the food with me.

"An Exceptional Five Star Assisted Living Experience!"
The Village At Mapleshade is a truly five-star experience! From the moment you walk in, you feel a warm and caring vibe from the whole staff and Directors. The place is absolutely gorgeous, more like a luxury hotel than an assisted living facility. The common areas look fantastic, and the rooms are spacious and well-designed. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone engaged, and the special Family Nights are really something special! They make sure to involve the family and work hard to make you feel welcome and part of "The Family." The food choices are plentiful and well-presented. The Chef is amazing and takes real pride in his meals! We’ve eaten there many times and have never been let down. The dining experience is as good as any high-end restaurant! After touring several places and having my mother in two other facilities before moving here last year, I can finally say she is truly happy! If you’re looking for a place to call home, look no further—The Village At Mapleshade is it!

"Beware: Misleading Ads, Poor Care at Village at Mapleshade!"
Stay Away from The Village at Mapleshade! They falsely advertise capabilities and lacked a medical director during our family member's stay. They refuse to acknowledge their faults, such as wrongly handling medications and failing to inform us when our loved one fell and was hospitalized. They always point fingers at others, and the services promised in their advertisements are not provided. We, like many other families, chose to move our loved one away. They didn't attempt to convince us to stay because they had already caused too much disdain and neglect. The food is poor quality and apart from the facility, which is admittedly nice, your loved one would be in jeopardy.

"Great care, fun activities, and a lovely home-like atmosphere!"
Things are going really well for my mother-in-law at The Village. The staff are awesome and always pay attention to her needs. We think the food is tasty, and she enjoys it too. They have lots of fun activities, and the activities director really encourages everyone to join in. The community is kept in great shape. We picked this place partly because her apartment has a kitchen and it's a newer community. I definitely recommend this place!

"Lovely Place for Family Visits with Delicious Food!"
I like that they plan fun events every month for families to visit their loved ones. The best thing about this place is the big outdoor courtyard where you can eat outside. It's cozy and feels like somewhere families would love to hang out. The food is really tasty too. I have a small worry that there's no boss right now, but I think they'll sort it out soon.

"Happy Family Dining"
I visit this place mainly for the food. Since my loved ones moved in, they've praised the meals and presentation. I can see why every time I eat here—the food is even better presented than in some restaurants. We especially enjoy their family nights, where we're always treated to delightful meals. Keep up the good work!

"Tasty Food Needs Better Looks!"
The people at The Village at Mapleshade are super friendly and patient. My mom's having a blast joining in on community activities. I think it would be great if the meals looked fancier and had more garnish. When I ate dinner with my mom, the atmosphere was nice, but the food was a bit boring.

"Fantastic care and clean facility at The Village at Mapleshade"
We're really happy with The Village at Mapleshade! Even though my loved one has only been here a short time, everything has been great so far. The place is always clean and looks nice, and the staff takes excellent care of the residents. I checked out a lot of places nearby, but the staff at The Village really made it stand out. I definitely recommend this place!
