"Friendly staff and activities make mom happy despite some issues"
The staff is very friendly and knows everyone’s name. Housekeeping is okay; once my mom figured out their schedule, it was fine. Sometimes they don’t return her laundry on time, but they handle it quickly once she asks. They do a great job communicating about activities and events through the LifeLoop website/app. However, communication about nursing and care could be better. If I have a question or concern, I don’t always get a response the same day, but they fix it quickly. The move-in process had some problems, but things are good now. I can text the director, and she helps with any issues. My mom thinks the meals aren’t great and they sometimes run out of things, but she’s a picky eater and not always accurate. Despite everything, she’s much happier than I expected. The activities director introduced her to a few ladies, and now they’re inseparable.

"Facility had staff changes, but staff were friendly and helpful"
The facility had a lot of staff changes. My mom never met the physician, even at the start. She couldn’t take her supplements because they weren’t on the list, and no one helped get them added. The microwave was broken the entire time, despite multiple requests. When I visited, the bathroom sink was clogged. On the positive side, the staff was always friendly, remembered her name, and knew she liked apple juice with her meals. The room layouts were great. I wish they had encouraged her to join more activities.

"Manager Change Caused Issues, But Homey Feel Remains"
Nice place. The change in managers hasn't gone smoothly. It's been a bit rough for weeks, but I’m sure things will get better soon. We chose this place because it's in a good location, affordable, has friendly people, and feels like home.

"Great tour, but disliked high-rise feel."
The tour at The Village of Meyerland was great! The guide was very kind and informative. I didn't like the high-rise feel, which is why we decided against this facility for our loved one.

"Memory Care Could Improve Facility Could Be More Competitive"
I wouldn't suggest this place for memory care. I visited many newer places that look better and are in better condition. I think they could make their prices more competitive.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Community"
Our family visited the assisted living facility in person, and the sales and marketing team were friendly. They made us believe it could be the right place for our loved one. Unfortunately, it was raining during our tour, and the community felt gloomy and not uplifting. We didn’t see many residents interacting.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Improvement"
This place is okay, but it could be better. The staff are nice, but sometimes things take too long to get done. The food is alright, but it could use more variety. The activities are fine, but they could be more engaging. Overall, it's decent, but there's room for improvement.

"Nice caregivers, slow medication, mom hospitalized"
We picked this community because we thought it was right for her, but it turned out to be too much care for her memory loss stage. My mom had a cold, the doctor gave her medicine, but it took them three days to get it, and she ended up in the hospital with pneumonia. Otherwise, I was happy with them. The caregivers were very kind, nice, and spent time with my mom. The food was fine.

"New building, friendly staff, but guest log lacks security"
The building is new, clean, and tidy. The staff is caring and friendly, though they can get busy and might not be available at the expected times. The lobby has a guest book to sign in, but anyone can sign in without showing an ID. Guests fill out their name, check-in time, resident's name, and room number. New guests can see the previous entries and copy them. This process doesn’t seem very secure.
