"Poor care and no activities at Assisted Living Facility"
My family member stayed at The Waterford at Baytown and we had a really bad experience. They didn't look in on her at night like they promised. There were absolutely NO fun things for her to do while she lived there. The care she received was poor which made it not worth the money we paid. The only good thing was that the day staff were nice. I wouldn't suggest this facility to anyone.

"Lack of Communication Frustrates Family During MIL's Illness"
I really like the staff who take care of my mother-in-law. They treat her kindly and respectfully. However, I'm disappointed with their communication. They don't return phone calls, and they don't answer the phone in the memory unit. When my MIL had Covid, we found out 24 hours later. I called daily for updates, but they never returned my calls. There was absolutely no communication while she was sick.

"Poor Meals and Experience at The Waterford"
My family member lived at The Waterford at Baytown, and our time there wasn’t great. The place was just okay in terms of cleanliness and staff. But the meals? Terrible. I wouldn’t suggest this facility to anyone.

"Smooth Transition and Excellent Care at The Waterford"
We moved our parents to The Waterford during the pandemic from another place that stopped most services. The Waterford kept their residents active in the community. Our parents started in assisted living and then moved to memory care as their needs changed. It was nice because we didn't have to move them again. They are well cared for, and the facility is kept in good shape.

"Reliable Memory Care Option"
We might choose this place if my family needs help or more care for our loved one. They're good for memory care. It felt nice and open to know they'd take my loved one if we need different care.

"Mixed Feelings: Respite Care Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
It's super clean and the food's good. Staff's friendly. But it's pricey. When you need a break from caring for a loved one, it's a good place. I use it for my mom's respite care. I'm not sure if she really likes it. One moment she does, the next she doesn't. But that's how it goes with a dementia patient. Mom's about to have her second stay with them, so we'll see how it goes.

"Didn't Like the Facility, Wouldn't Accept Mom"
I really didn't like this place. It wasn't very attractive. Plus, they wouldn't let my mom join because of her health issues.

"Thoroughly Disappointed: Wouldn't Suggest this Facility to Anyone!"
I wouldn't tell anyone to choose this place. They were way more harmful to my dad than helpful. They told us my dad had to spend a few days in a psych-ward for an evaluation before he could move in, which I deeply regret agreeing to. My dad suffered a fall and hit his head while in that place which really traumatized him. He didn't need to go through that. The other community he's now in didn't make him do anything like that. Interacting with this facility was a total nightmare and I wouldn't suggest it to anyone.

"Staff changes cause some missed details"
Remington Park is a nice facility, and it never smells bad. There are many staff members, but with so many shift changes, some details get missed between them. If you don’t have dementia, you’d do fine here. However, my grandmother has dementia, so she needs extra help. I’ve had to remind the staff about her walker, medicine, and changing her sheets. I need to be very involved. Julia, the resident care director, is amazing. She’s sweet, caring, and always returns my calls. When my grandmother first arrived, Julia was on leave, and I think it would’ve been easier if she was there. Julia is very responsive and makes things better. They recently hired a new RN, who is lovely, and I think she’ll be a great addition.
