"Inconsistent Care and Staffing Issues in Assisted Living Facility"
The person who used to lead the assisted living isn't there anymore. They needed a lot of reminders about what to do. We visited every day, and sometimes my mom was wearing the same clothes as the day before. We had to find a staff member and ask them to change her clothes. If we didn't visit every day, I'd worry she wasn't being taken care of properly. Some of the staff were really nice, and we got to know them well. I understand it's a hard job, but we felt like if we didn't come every day, it could be a big problem for my loved one.

The facility is clean, but not suitable for medical assistance. Staff lacks medical training.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
My family member stayed there briefly. The lady who assessed them did well. But overall, I wouldn't choose this place for long-term care. The food wasn't great, and they should provide orientation for new residents. Unfortunately, we had theft issues after my loved one passed.

"Friendly and Well-Maintained Living Space"
Overall, this is a good place to live. Some people complain, but I think they are just never happy. I like almost everything here, and it’s a friendly place. My apartment was freshly painted, including the cabinets. It has new granite countertops and faucets. There’s a nice big shower, a walk-in closet, and a balcony.

"Great Staff, Needs Better Food"
We didn’t have much choice when looking for a new place. My loved one’s old facility sold their building, so we had to find somewhere else. This place is close by, not much more expensive, and had one room available, so we took it. The biggest thing that needs improvement is the food. My loved one thinks it’s terrible and has been ordering takeout too much, which isn’t healthy. The staff has been AMAZING. They are super attentive and call us with any concerns. They have gone above and beyond to keep us informed. We are so thankful for all the staff. They also provide housekeeping, which is great. They come once a week to change bed linens and clean. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

I visited this place, and it was nice. It had the same layout as their sister facility, The Waterford. Unfortunately, there were no Assisted Living openings during our tour.

"Overwhelming Size and Pricing Concerns Mar Otherwise Pleasant Experience"
We really liked this place. It looked nice and was super clean and tidy. The staff was really nice and helpful. But, we thought it was too big for dad. It made him feel confused. Plus, he'd have to walk too much, which isn't good for him. Another thing that bothered me was how they priced things. They charged a set fee for the room, but everything else cost extra. So, what seemed affordable at first ended up being way more expensive after all the extras were added.

"Terrible Care at Wellington, Wouldn't Recommend"
This place was really bad at looking after my family. There was never a nurse around when you needed one and nobody was there to give out the residents' medications. I can't even describe how badly Wellington took care of my parents. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone looking for more care for their family.

"Decent Facility, But Sparse Activities and High-School-Like Cliques"
My mom and her brother stayed there for about a third of the year but they didn't enjoy it so they ended up coming back to live with my spouse and me. The folks there were friendly, they just had their own little groups of friends. It was amusing; walking into their dining room felt like walking into a high school cafeteria. The apartment they were assigned was totally re-done and looked really good, full of brand new stuff. However, there weren't a lot of activities that caught their interest.

"Lovely Assisted Living with Helpful Staff - Richardson, TX"
The workers were really nice and friendly. There weren't many people around, maybe they were taking naps after lunch. I liked that they let you move into assisted care for a few days if you need it. They also provided a lot of assistance with figuring out VA Benefits.

"Facility's 'Unconditional Love' Is Only Skin Deep"
The Wellington's Hollow Promises and Hidden Costs Disappoint" Upon entering, The Wellington seems like an answer to a prayer - a beautiful assisted living facility awkwardly placed right around the corner. When I visited, the staff were all smiles, their welcome warm and convincing. The discount they offered me made the place seem like a godsend. I was eager and immediately moved my parents over from a city 9 hours away. I was down $500 for the deposit. In our agreement, I was transparent and mentioned up front that my father, a hale and hearty man of 82 years - and a smoker of over 50 years (still quite healthy), would need to smoke. They agreed, but with a catch - he would need to be escorted. Now here's where the excitement started to fade. While we knew my father was a smoker, they changed their minds after the agreement. I was crushed. My father being a smoker was their excuse to back out of our agreement. But why agree in the first place then? To add salt to the wounds, I was drowning in hidden fees that they conveniently forgot to mention upfront. Despite knowing I had financial difficulties, they seemed to change their stance without giving me a chance. It was all a big game for them, more business-orientated than caring about seniors. The kindness, well-wishes, and little personal talks - all felt contrived, a business strategy. Broken, angry, and without a place for my parents, I had to wonder: Does the Wellington even know what emotional pain feels like? Or the unconditional love for your parents, wanting them to feel at home, willing to spend my savings to make that happen. I was let down, massively. The Wellington seems to be purely business, lacking any real care or understanding.

"Outstanding activities director at a pricey but excellent assisted living facility"
We had to leave because it cost too much. But everyone was nice, the place was clean, and the food was tasty. The best part was the fun stuff we got to do. The person in charge of activities was amazing. I wanted to bring her along when we moved.

"Going the Extra Mile: Exceptional Care at the Assisted Living Facility"
We had an issue with the air conditioner, and they worked really hard to fix it. They took it apart four times over two weeks! When my mom complained about the temperature, they responded quickly and kept checking in with me. Overall, it’s been a great experience.

"Small Rooms, Limited Views"
The rooms were tiny, and we only saw the studio. They didn’t show us a one-bedroom unit. Without seeing the actual room I was interested in, I didn’t want to commit. There were fewer residents here compared to the place we eventually chose.

"Great Programs But Poor Room Design Disappoints"
The place and programs are great. The hallways are long and poorly lit - makes it difficult to figure out where you are. The rooms aren't noteworthy considering the cost and they are rather small. This place was my initial pick but it let me down... I'm doubtful about this being assisted living because there's no separate bedroom, which gives it more of a hospital feel than a home.
