"Quality Decline and Staff Issues at Assisted Living Facility"
My parents lived in this place for more than two years. The food there used to be okay, but now it's not good. They've changed the maintenance staff many times. These new staff members take shortcuts to fix the HVAC units because they're old and need replacing. But replacing them costs a lot, and it might affect the bonuses of the managers. The facility looks nice, but the management isn't doing a great job. They never seem to have enough staff, but I guess that's just how it is in senior care nowadays.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The assisted living facility is currently understaffed. Both the maintenance team and the kitchen team need more help. Unfortunately, several residents, including my loved one, dislike the food. The vegetables are almost always undercooked, and my loved one hasn't had hot water for weeks. On the bright side, it's a very clean and safe community. However, it feels like we're not getting what we were promised.

"Comfortable living with thoughtful amenities COVID adjustments noted."
My family member is adjusting well. The move here was easy for her. I like that every apartment has its own patio with two ways to get outside from the hallway and from the apartment itself. The food is tasty, but they've had to change when we eat and what we do a lot because of Covid.

"Almost chose them."
Our visit to Village on the Park was great! The facility was modern and all on one floor. The food impressed us.

"Good First Impression, But No Integration of Residents"
We visited Village on the Park and had a great first impression. However, we decided not to choose it because they don't mix their assisted living residents with the senior living residents.

"Nice facility but didn't like sit-down meals requirement."
I visited Village on the Park. It's pretty nice and I liked how it looks. But I didn't choose it because they make you sit down for meals, which I didn't want.

"Friendly staff but only studios, no one-bedroom options available"
The staff was really nice. However, they only have studio apartments available in Assisted Living, and no one-bedroom options.

"Corporate Assisted Living Falls Short for In-Laws"
The tour was pleasant. The staff were friendly and answered my questions. However, the place felt too corporate, lacked trees, and was isolated. They kept insisting it would feel like a perpetual vacation, but my in-laws wanted a home, not a hotel. Ultimately, we chose a different facility.

"Lacked Nature, Felt Like a Hotel, Chose Elsewhere"
The tour was good. The workers were nice and answered my questions. This place felt very business-like. There weren't any trees, and it was far from everything, so there was nowhere nearby to shop. They kept saying to my in-laws that they would feel like they were always on vacation, but they wanted a place that felt like home, not a hotel. So, we decided to pick somewhere else.

"Warm and Welcoming Senior Community"
Village on the Park seems like a friendly and welcoming place for seniors. The staff greeted us warmly and showed us around. It's a smaller community, but they have a fantastic activity schedule.

"Great facility with excellent care!"
This facility was one of my top choices when I was searching for an assisted living home for my mom. What I really liked about it was that it offers both assisted and independent living in the same place. This means you don’t have to move your loved one if their needs change. The head nurse is fantastic and answered all my questions. I would have picked this place if it weren’t so far from me, but I definitely recommend this community.

"Enjoyed the Community"
We really enjoyed the tour at Village on the Park. The sales director did a great job presenting the community, and we initially considered them for our loved one. However, we found another community that looked even nicer and had more amenities. A Place For Mom's valuable services helped us when we were unsure where to start.

""Friendly Staff, Declining Meal Quality""
The workers here are nice, but the food is AWFUL! The meals were fine when my folks first moved in, but they've gone downhill. The staff are nice and supportive. If only the meals were better, this would be a fantastic deal.

"I Wish It Was A Move-In"
I liked this community; it's nice. We considered it for my grandparents, but the rent was a bit higher.

"Highly Recommend This Community"
I think this community in Austin is one of the best. Moving my mother here has been great, and her needs are met. The facility is smaller but very nice, with a fabulous bathroom and good views. The staff is polite and friendly. They offer different levels of care and allow pets. Overall, it's been a wonderful experience.

"A Fresh Start"
When I visited Village on the Park, it would have been my second pick. It cost a lot, and the apartments didn't have washer/dryer or dishwasher connections. They were newer, so I get that they were still getting things set up. They even hired a landscaping company to hide the air conditioning units.

"Mom's Care Oasis"
This place is nice for my mom's needs. The fun stuff started well, but they need an activities leader. Mom enjoys the food options. I suggest visiting without notice.

"Pleasant Staff/Bad Food"
The staff is friendly and quick to respond to client needs. The facility is clean, and the retirement apartments are a good size. However, the biggest issue is the decline in food quality since my parents moved in. Initially, they served three meals daily, but now it’s only two on Sundays. Unfortunately, the last time I dined there, the entree was inedible. Despite my complaint, food service hasn’t improved. Overall, everything is great except for the food.

"Beautiful new community, but too far for family visits"
This is a lovely, new place. I was really impressed with the facilities and my contact person, Sharon [Removed]. If I were choosing a place for myself, this would be my top pick out of the three assisted living communities I checked out. However, my mom thinks it's too far from her granddaughters to visit easily, so she decided not to consider it.

"Mom loves her new home here!"
We moved my mom here, and she’s very happy. I visit often and feel good about it. The food is tasty, and the staff is excellent. I recommend this place to anyone. If you have aging parents, it's better to help them downsize and move before they can’t be involved in picking what to take or sell. My brother, mom, and I are glad we did this now. The facility is brand new, which makes it a fresh, clean home for her.

"Mess Hall problems and my 1401 cottage kitchen sink"
Overall, not much to complain about. But I'd prefer classic cereals like Kellogg's corn flakes, Kix, Wheaties, or Rice Krispies for breakfast. Also, we need more shading on the east side of the dining room due to the blinding morning sun. Lastly, installing a kitchen sink disposal would make life better.
