"Safety Concerns and Staff Turnover Affect Facility Experience"
The facility is nice. It's clean and the staff are friendly. However, the management changes a lot. My sister wandered away from the place, and I learned they don't have cameras to see who comes and goes. They had to send out a silver alert. She was gone for 3.5 hours until someone found her using social media.

"Flash Flood Causes Relocation"
We really liked Walnut Creek. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, a flash flood caused the whole community to flood, and our loved one had to relocate.

They’re not perfect, but they do a good job. Most of the staff are friendly and warm. It’s a beautiful place and feels very comfortable. They try hard to accommodate you.”

"Poor Management and Meals At This Assisted Living Facility"
You should know our experience at this place was bad. They messed up with medicines and didn't give them on time. They also didn't clean the rooms or respond to call buttons. The food was hardly there, they skipped meals, the portions were too small, and it wasn't even healthy. I wouldn't move your loved one in here.

"Nice Community with Room for Improvement in Cleanliness"
My wife lives in this community and it's pretty nice. The caregivers are friendly and they encourage her to join in daily activities. We walk over to the assisted living side, and she has plenty of space to walk around. The food is good and filling. The place is clean, but there's room for improvement. Also, there's a trash can in the dining room that always seems to be missing a liner.

We take walks on the assisted living side, where she has plenty of room to move around. The food is tasty and filling. The place is clean, although there’s room for improvement. "Great care and safe environment for Dad at Walnut Creek"
My dad is in the Memory unit at Walnut Creek. He’s not thrilled because he still remembers his home. However, I’m really pleased with the care he’s getting. I feel he’s safe there. The staff keeps me updated, and my dad sees their resident doctor and gets home healthcare help for bathing and managing blood clots. A home health nurse visits monthly. They also bring him to special events like music sessions and Sunday church services, which he enjoys. In the Memory unit, he plays games like plastic horseshoes and balloon badminton to stay active. I would definitely recommend Walnut Creek to friends and family.

"Wanted more staff available"
We had a nice tour at Walnut Creek - Mansfield. The staff was very friendly and knew a lot. They answered all our questions. We liked how the community looked, and it was very clean. We decided on a different place because we wanted more staff available to handle any problems that might come up.

"Great care and value for my father"
I am really happy with the care my father is getting. The staff is very kind and quick to address any issues. The menu could use some improvements, but they do offer fun activities for the residents. My father enjoys being with other residents. We recommend this community for its great care and value.

"Mixed Feelings During Assisted Living Tour"
I went on a tour of this community and it was pretty good. They showed me around everywhere, but I didn't think it was the best match for me. The place was clean and the staff seemed nice. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try their food. On the bright side, they gave me cookies as a gift, which was nice.

"Convenient Location, But Not Ideal for My Mother-in-Law"
Walnut Creek was alright, but I don't think it's perfect for my mother-in-law. She's used to living in Arlington, and this place is in Mansfield, which isn't close to her friends or her church. However, it's near me.

My dad got good care here. The people were nice. Sometimes, they changed the staff a lot. They gave him things to do, so he wasn't bored. He liked the food. I think other families would like it here too.

"Avoid Walnut Creek: Below Standards and Unprofessional"
We're really upset with this place. Each time we visited, there was a problem with safety, tidiness, timeliness and proper attention to our relative. We wouldn't suggest Walnut Creek to anyone wanting their kin cared for. We're transferring our loved one to a more professionally managed home.

"Very Unhappy With How Grandma’s Facility Was Handled"
We're really super upset with this place :( We moved my Grandma here in November 2015 so she could be closer to us (her Granddaughter) because my Dad, her son, lives in another country. We had some worries about this place because the reviews weren't too good, but we talked with the Manager and thought we should give them a try. BIG MISTAKE! There were some staff who were nice to my Grandma and we're grateful for that, but the people running this place are pretty terrible. If you want something done...It probably won't happen unless you keep bugging them about it. The worst part was after my Grandma had died. She died in her bed, and I asked them to clean the sheets so the smell wouldn't stick because we weren't able to clear out her room for another 2 weeks. They promised us it would be done and even when my Dad checked in, they promised again it was done. But after 2 weeks when we came back her sheets were still there, they hadn't done a thing. It was seriously gross. On top of that, they'd left her door unlocked after promising only people cleaning would go in her room. Even when we asked the staff and the Manager why, no one could give us a good answer. They told us we'd get some of her last month's rent back but we still haven't gotten it. We're super upset with how everything was handled, especially after Grandma died. There were a few staff who we liked but we really wouldn't suggest putting your family here.

"Unfit Living Conditions and Neglect at Assisted Living Facility"
This place is unacceptable. The caretakers are not only rude, but they're also poorly trained. The person in charge, the executive director, should perhaps consider working as an attendant at the nearest supermarket instead. My dad was a resident here and his experience was abysmal. He was constantly neglected - always dirty - and his living quarters and laundry were perpetually in disarray. Even food was a rare necessity to him. Despite the multitude of activities promised to us, he was mostly confined to his room. Something needs to be done to shut this place down. It's clear that the residents here are seen as nothing more than sources of income. I'm relieved that my dad is no longer a part of this.

"Nurse's Poor Attitude Taints Pretty Facility"
The place itself is stunning. However, the nurse is awful. She lacks professional behavior, has poor manners, and is a disgrace both to herself and the care home. I am relocating my parents as soon as possible!!

"Don't Spend Your Money, Time at This Place"
Right now, my husband's mom lives here. The place looks nice and the care staff are good people who know what they're doing. However, the people in charge are a whole other discussion. She's fallen multiple times, her clothes have disappeared, and many residents just walk out the front door - right past the boss's office! We'll move her out as quick as we can. My husband and I have had enough of wasting our time and money here. .

"Unresponsive and Deceitful Facility Manager"
Avoid this place, the manager just lies and tricks people. She promised fun activities, good care, tasty food and promised she would answer any question anytime. I had to call her a dozen times before her assistant finally got back to me about my issue.

Disappointed
"Headline: "Nightmare Experience at Assisted Living Facility""
Starting off, the Executive Director doesn't seem to have a clue, she's unprofessional and totally scattered. Before my dad moved there, they promised us the world. But once he was settled in, it was like a bad dream. The Director seems unaware of what's happening in her own building, and there are more empty rooms than filled ones. The nurse is not only unprofessional but also dresses inappropriately. The receptionists always wear unhappy expressions and seem ignorant. The private caregivers spend their time gossiping about how bad the place is. The quality of the food is inferior. Need I go on... We pulled my dad out of there after only 10 days.

"Disappointed. Relocated mom within two weeks."
The boss promised they could handle all of my mom's special needs, but they didn't follow through. They said they'd support her with bathing, but she didn't get one until nearly a week after she moved in. A visiting nurse noticed and directed an assistant from the healthcare company to step in until the folks at Walnut Creek could. I wasn't pleased with some comments a caregiver and a nurse made about my mom, and one nurse made a big deal out of a small issue. At one point, the nurse refused to help and said it was a family member's job. So, I had to spend the night there, but everything was alright.

"Letdown by Unfulfilled Promises at Walnut Creek Facility"
Regrettably, things turned out rather differently, particularly for my mom, than what was initially promised. We were under the impression that the Walnut Creek, Mansfield facility could provide all the care my mom needed. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. After just 17 days, we were forced to move my mom again, causing her unnecessary distress. I strongly recommend the management staff improve their communication about what their caregivers can and cannot do.

"Smooth Experience at Walnut Creek Assisted Living: A Positive Review"
Everything's been pretty good. Tracy was great when we moved in, and Cindy's doing well too. Mom's happy here. Food's tasty, and the staff are helpful. Mom says they even offer to vacuum her room. She's a neat freak, so that's a big plus. Only hiccup was some confusion with the new nurse. Otherwise, no problems.

"Great Facility with Friendly Staff & Spacious Apartments"
I’m really happy with this facility and have no complaints. It’s beautifully decorated inside, clean, and fresh. The layout is easy to navigate, and it’s located in a nice, safe neighborhood, yet close to places you might need. The staff is friendly and polite, always taking care of their tasks with a smile. It can be tough to reach the director by phone due to her busy schedule, but she’s great with the residents and pays attention to their needs. Staff turnover is low, and my parents, who have Alzheimer's and dementia, have settled in well and made friends. My favorite thing is how spacious the apartments are compared to others I visited

"Decent Assisted Living Facility; Some Pricing Structure Concerns"
Good Aspects: I got to meet the director, an appealing person with a lot of knowledge about their good quality care facility. They offer Level 2 care, a choice for room size, and have care for memory-related issues on their premise. They also provide skilled nursing care. Bad Aspects: Even though we didn't need skilled care at the moment, we still had to pay for it in the room rate. They charge per day, which seemed too expensive. Also, their services follow a point system, which made it tough to figure out the overall cost.
