Alta Ridge of Holladay

"Avoid this place: Poor management, unsupervised and unclean!"
If you ever try calling, there's no helpful person to answer. The workers are replaced like every month. There's barely anyone to prepare meals — they've even ordered pizza a couple of times because of this. It's really messed up. There's no supervision, anyone can just walk in. The front desk is always empty and the lobby is all messy. They never cleaned my relative's room since they didn't have enough workers. Stay away from this place, seriously!!!

"Facility's Cramped Rooms Barely Fit Basic Furniture"
Terrible place. The excessively tiny rooms barely have space for a basic bed and cupboard.

"A Loving Home for Mom"
My mom has been living here for six months. She didn’t want to leave her house, but her dementia and poor balance made it unsafe. When we met the staff at Alta Ridge, we knew it was the right place for her. Within a week, she called it her “home away from home.” The facility is cozy and small, but what makes it special is the care and genuine love of the staff. Our mom is happy and thriving, and that is priceless.

"Great Care and Comfort"
The care at this place is really good. We like the staff because they always keep us updated on his care. I like knowing he enjoys the meals. They offer activities and he likes going on the small trips. I feel good knowing he is in a safe and nice place. We highly recommend this community for good care.

"Dad is happy, friendly staff, no food complaints"
My dad is doing okay since moving here. I don't live in the state, so my sister, who lives nearby, visits him. From what she tells me, he is happy there. The staff, from what I hear, is friendly and helpful. I'm not sure if he likes the food, but I assume he does since I haven't heard any complaints.

"Dad's okay, sis says he's happy. Staff friendly, food unknown."
My dad's doing alright since he moved here. I don't live nearby; it's my sister who's close. But she tells me he's happy there. The staff, from what I hear, are nice and helpful. I'm not sure if he likes the food or not; I guess he does since I haven't heard any complaints.

"Friendly Tour, But Other Place had More Services"
When I came to visit, I thought this place seemed pretty good. The guy showing me around was really nice. But, the community we ended up picking had some extra things that my family member really needed.

"Ideal Location for Mom's Comfort and Family Visits"
My mom has tried a few different places, but this one seems just right for her. It's super close to my house, so she gets more visits, which really helps her feel less anxious. The staff here is really nice and always ready to help. They even remember my name and call me or my sister if they have any concerns about mom. Mom doesn't mind the food, but I didn't really like it when I tried it once.

"So Close For Us To Visit"
Mom has been in a few different places, but we finally found the perfect one for her. This location is super close to our home, so she gets more visitors, which helps with her anxiety. The staff is really nice and helpful. They even remember our names! If they have any concerns about Mom, they call either me or my sister. The food isn't Mom's favorite, though—I tried it once and didn't like it much.

"Mixed Experience at Small Assisted Living; Staff Effort Appreciated"
Looking for a place for my dad, we picked this community quickly. It's been okay, but there are some problems. On Sundays, there aren't enough staff, and they don't seem to care about making sure people drink enough water, even if they don't want to. The food isn't very good; it's not fresh. The place is small and doesn't have many people living there. The staff try their best, and they're nice.

"Mixed Opinion on Assisted Living Facility"
We picked this home for my dad on short notice. It's so-so but has some problems. On Sundays the staff isn't as attentive, and they don't stress hydration enough, even if the residents don't feel like drinking. The food isn't great and doesn't taste fresh. The place is small with few residents. Despite this, the staff is nice and works really hard.

"Compassionate Loving Care!"
I really like everything about Alta Ridge. The staff and caregivers are very friendly and always willing to help. They truly care about the people who live there. When my mom first came in, she couldn't walk, but thanks to physical therapy, she's walking again. When you walk in, all the residents look happy! The food is great too. My dad was a picky eater, and he loved it, which says a lot!

"Great Place, Just Not Close to Family"
I thought the community was really good. The staff was super nice and everyone made the tour great. Everything was well organized and very clean. The only downside was the location—it wasn’t close to our family. Overall, I would recommend this place to other families. It was a great place.

"Wife Thriving at Alta Ridge Memory Care"
I needed to find a place for my wife quickly. Alta Ridge Memory Care acted fast, going above and beyond to admit her within 1 and 1/2 days. Previously, another facility struggled with my wife's needs, but Alta Ridge has been responsive and supportive. She's much happier and relaxed here.

"Almost like home"
The staff was really caring, not just with my Dad but with all the residents. They were also very friendly to me and my family, even knowing our names. They were super patient with him while he adjusted. Every family member who visited Dad commented on how nice and homey the place felt.

"Personalized Care and Cozy Atmosphere"
Alta Ridge of Holladay is a nice place, small and owned by locals. They have enough staff for the number of patients, which is good. The staff is consistent, so the people taking care of my Dad are familiar faces, which is comforting. The food is good, and he eats it without trouble. Although he struggles to eat alone, they prepare his food in a way that helps him. They offer activities, but they are more suited for independent residents. Overall, it's a clean place where my Dad feels comfortable.
