"Awful Care and Conditions at Assisted Living Facility"
I can't speak for the assisted living aspect, but the memory care section is awful, just AWFUL. The smell of urine is always in the air, finding a helper is a futile attempt, and they don't have enough staff. The meals are gross and the serving sizes are small. While it cost less than other options we considered, I'd recommend paying more for better care and food. I strongly advise against placing your loved one here. If you have no other alternative, at least put a security camera in the room to remotely monitor your loved one's well-being.

"Great Care, Clean Environment, Minor Shower Issue"
Apple Village is a good place for my dad!!! The staff there is really nice and they take good care of him. The place is always clean and well looked after. Dad says the food is okay and he likes joining in on some of the activities with others. The only small thing I noticed is a taped-up crack in the shower floor. But overall, I like this place better than where he was before.

"'Abysmal Care And Disregard In This Facility!'"
I seriously wish I could give this place no stars at all. My wife stayed there for a brief period and the care she received was dreadful. It seems most of the staff are just college students who are working while they're studying. It's like they don't give a hoot about the residents or what their families are going through. While the meals aren't terrible, they're always late in bringing them. I would advise against choosing this community.

"Mixed Experience at Apple Village Assisted Living"
First, I want to say that the director and the ladies at the front desk are great! They were very kind and helpful. My dad was in the memory care unit for about three days. On the second day, I went to check on him and he was still in the clothes he was wearing when I dropped him off the day before. He had food all over his shirt. He needed some pain meds, so I went to look for an employee to help him. I walked around the whole memory care wing twice and saw no one. I had him push his call button, and I stayed with him for 25 minutes. When no one came, I went to the front desk, and they said they'd get someone. I had to leave, so I don't know if anyone ever came to help him. Later that day, I got a call from Apple Village saying my dad had a fall but he was okay. The next day, I went to check on him, and he could barely walk to the bathroom and back to his bed. I found out that he fell and pushed the call button, but no one came. He was on the floor yelling for help, and finally, an aide came in to give him his scheduled medication. I have no idea how long he was left lying on the floor! My dad hardly ever complains, so when he did, I made arrangements to move him to a different facility ASAP. After he was settled at the new place, he asked me to never send him to Apple Village again. He's doing great at the other facility. Apple Village might be fine for some people, but it did not work out for us. There was a strong urine smell, the food was mediocre, and some of the employees, mainly the aides, were not very friendly and made you feel like a problem. The rooms are quite small, and the showers don't have seats in them, something that I think is important. The little pond in the front lobby is pretty cool, and it is a little cheaper than other memory care facilities.

"Decent Staff, But Overall Experience Falls Short at Apple Village"
First off, I want to commend the director and front desk ladies. They were super nice and helpful. My dad was in their memory care section for around 3 days. On day two, I went to check on him, and found him in the same clothes I left him in, shirt covered in food. He needed pain relief, so I started looking for a staff member to assist him. No luck after checking the entire memory care area twice. We tried the call button and waited patiently for 25 minutes. Unanswered, I went to the front desk for help. I had to leave after that so I'm not sure if anyone responded. Later that day, I was told Dad took a tumble, but he was fine. The next day, I found it difficult for him to walk to the bathroom and back to his bed. Turns out, he had fallen and reached out for help using the call button with no response, he yelled for help until an aide came in for his regular medicine round. I don't know for how long he was left alone on the floor! My dad rarely grumbles, but when he did, I moved him to another facility immediately. He's doing much better now and pleaded with me never to take him back to "that dump" known as Apple Village. While Apple Village may be okay for some, it didn't work for us. There was a strong smell of urine, the food was so-so and some staff, especially the aides, came across as unfriendly. The rooms were on the smaller side and the showers lacked seats, which I consider critical. On the flip side, they have a cute pond in the lobby and they are less expensive than other similar places.

"Stains and seating issues"
Big stains on the floor. My dad didn’t like where they made him sit during meals. It was hard to check out a room without bothering someone who already lived there.

"Unsatisfactory Facilities and Meal Arrangement at Assisted Living Home"
There were big spots on the floor. My dad wasn't happy about having a specific place to sit for meals. We weren't able to properly see a room without bothering someone living there.

The facility seems nice, but the lobby's strong cinnamon air freshener bothered me.

"Friendly and Helpful Staff Make Apple Village a Great Choice!"
My dad is sometimes difficult, but the staff were awesome. They responded to all his requests. After a few weeks, he settled in and loves it here. It's pricey, but most places are. Overall, I'd recommend it. The staff are friendly and helpful! 4/5

"Friendly Staff and Clean Environment, Could Use More Entertainment"
It's going okay. The people who work here are nice, and they make sure it's really clean. I think they could add more things to do for fun. I haven't eaten the food yet, but it seems tasty to me. Sandy at the front desk, who greets you when you come in, has been really great.

"Decent Assisted Living Facility with Friendly Staff and Clean Environment"
This place is going okay. The people who work here are nice, and they make sure everything is super clean. It would be better if they had more fun stuff to do, though. I haven't tasted the food yet, but it seems good. Sandy at the front desk, the first person you meet when you come in, is really great.
