"A Caring Home Away from Home"
Great place for me. The other folks are friendly, activities are well-organized, and they provide rides to stores. The caring staff is on top of things, and it feels like home. The street is lovely.

"Mixed Experience, Suitable for Some Families"
My brother stayed at Cottonwood Creek for six days. It wasn't right for him as he needed more care than they offer. Still, we'd suggest it to other families.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Understaffed, Slow Service, Management Issues"
I've been here for more than a year. They're always short on staff. The medical techs and helpers are good, but we got a new nurse a couple of months ago. The old one was always late with our medicine refills, leaving us without. I don't know if that's fixed. They don't care if they ruin your clothes. The hallways and dining room are too hot. The dining room doesn't have enough staff, so it takes forever to get your food, and half the time it's cold. They won't help you shower after surgery, even if you ask. They're friendly, but the management doesn't provide good service. It's strange.

"Above Average Assisted Living Facility with Limited Activities"
The rooms are really nice, and the location is good. They don't have a lot of activities, but the kitchen staff does a good job. The landscaping is nice, and they fix things when you ask them to. Overall, it's better than most places I've seen.

"Suitable Place for our Aunt"
We're really happy with the care our aunt gets at Cottonwood Creek. When there are problems, the staff handles them quickly. The place is old but well taken care of. Austin, the maintenance assistant, is amazing at his job. He's always there when you need him. He helped us move our aunt to a different room and fixed small issues in her room. Cottonwood Creek is lucky to have him. It's great to see someone take their job seriously. The staff genuinely cares about the residents, and our aunt loves it there. The CNAs work hard but are underpaid, which affects the residents due to high turnover. We know this is a common issue in other places. Overall, Cottonwood Creek is a suitable place for our relative.

"The Perfect Fit!"
My mom had a wonderful respite stay at Cottonwood. The staff treated her kindly, the food was good, and the community was clean. Plus, they allow pets! I highly recommend this community. It's tucked away in a more private location compared to others we considered.

"Taking Good Care of Our Dad"
My dad has been living at Cottonwood Creek for more than four years. As he's gotten older, he's faced various challenges, but the staff has handled them well. They take his jokes in stride and even joke back with him. We appreciate the care they provide, and the cost is affordable for him. The rooms are nice, and the staff has been wonderful.

"Unfair Treatment of Elderly Patient at Assisted Living Facility"
My mom is suffering from harsh treatment at the Cottonwood Creek facility. One staff member has been hostile towards her for a year now, wanting her to leave. It's very wrong to display anger or unkindness towards her or any other elderly resident. We care about our mom and it hurts to see her unhappy, especially considering she's ill, but we trust she deserves decent treatment. She suffers from heart failure and has limited mobility, so her requests for assistance, such as asking for a bag of ice for her drink, should not be denied. She was told by Barry, the offending staff member, that she couldn't have ice. Why would employees let their personal feelings interfere with their job? She needs support and we can't always be there to ensure she's getting fair treatment. What's happening is abusive and we demand immediate action on this matter.

"They were really great"
Cottonwood Creek was awesome. They were really great. My brother was in pain, and they were super patient, kind, and caring. They looked after him until he went into hospice. This place felt more like a community than anything else. I have no complaints. I was very happy with this place.

"Diligent Efforts for Dad's Needs"
At Cottonwood Creek, they made a real effort to meet Dad's needs. Even though Dad wasn't too thrilled about being there, they worked hard to help him. Unfortunately, Dad didn't cooperate, and now he's in a nursing home. Overall, I was satisfied with this facility.

"Nice facility but kitchen menu doesn't fit our tastes"
This place is nice, and it's been around for a while. The staff is pretty nice too. But when it comes to the food, they could use some help. I'm not sure who decides what we eat, but it doesn't seem like they know what we're used to. Overall though, they do a good job besides the food.

"Perfect Place for Your Parents or Grandparents"
We moved my parents to Cottonwood Creek a few years ago. At first, it was hard for them to adjust from a big house to a smaller apartment. But the staff made them feel welcome, and it turned out to be a great experience. When my mother passed away in July 2014, the staff was incredibly kind and supportive. They took extra care of my dad, especially when he moved to the AL2 section. The CNA's there are wonderful, and I’m really thankful for how they care for my dad. I definitely recommend Cottonwood Creek as a great place to live.

"Cottonwood Creek Has Potential but Needs Improvement"
Cottonwood Creek is a pretty nice place. It's bright and just got a fresh makeover. The people who work directly with the residents are really nice and actually know residents by their names. The people at the front desk range from super nice to just okay, but they're the first people you see when you come in, so that's pretty important. The food situation isn't that great, and it takes forever to get your order from the kitchen. The waitstaff is really nice and patient, though, and they really seem to care about the people they serve. I think the dining situation is being worked on to make it better. Sometimes the food is good, and sometimes it's just not, but I think the way it's put on the plate may play a role in that. I really wanted this place to be amazing because it could be, but the small details that really sold me on the place are missing. The orientation for new residents and their families didn't really happen. The activities team didn't reach out to invite new residents to participate. There were some kinks to work out with medications and nursing care. A resident council or somebody to make sure new residents actually had somebody to eat with would have been great, but that didn't happen. Thankfully, the other residents are really sweet and notice when somebody new arrives. The transition just wasn't as smooth as I expected. The pricing at Cottonwood Creek is reasonable. I really do believe they want to be a top-tier facility and really care about their residents. It's just hard trying to keep all the residents happy while meeting the families' demands, too. I really hope things keep getting better.

"Average Aged Care Facility with Dependable Medicine Services"
Cottonwood Creek is an alright place, certainly not bad. No standout features, but the place is kept tidy and they don't slack off with the medicine services. They serve up 3 meals every day, though whether you enjoy it may be another question. The rooms are alright in size and the monthly cost stands around 2500.

"Nice Facility Worth Considering for Senior Care"
I visited this facility while looking for care options for a loved one. The place looked really nice overall, and I’m sure it would have met our needs well. The facility was clean, and the staff seemed very friendly. We chose a different facility closer to home, but this one is definitely worth considering if you’re looking for senior care in the area!

"Great Value and Care Options!"
So far, I'm really happy with Cottonwood Creek! The value is amazing! I checked out other places, and this one costs about $1,000 less, but still gives great quality! We chose it mainly because they offer 4 levels of care—from Independent Living to Advanced Memory Care. There's a lot of diversity among the residents, so since my loved one is still pretty young, he feels comfortable and loves the family-like atmosphere!

"Seasoned Facility Drops Ball on Service and Trash Management"
Our overall experience at this assisted living facility has been below average due to a couple of main things. One major letdown is the dining service. They pitched it as a significant attraction during our initial visit, but honestly, it hasn't lived up to the hype. The service is painfully slow. Often, we're waiting more than an hour before our food shows up. And when it gets here, it's usually just warm, or worse, cold. The other thing that irks is their trash management policy. I seem to always have to remind the staff to empty his trash bin. They'll do it if I remind them, but I've seen soiled diapers left unattended there for days sometimes. That aside, the people who work here are genuinely nice and friendly. They know all the residents' names and really show care for them. It's sad to see these kind of issues in such a place.

"Week 1 at Cottonwood Creek: Lovely Surroundings, Subpar Service"
The first week here was tough. The main issue was the meals - they were slow in coming, unappetizing, and downright terrible. The management has decided to bring someone from the head office to sort it out, so we'll see how that goes. Additionally, some of the night staff have a tendency to be a bit snappy and unsympathetic. Given that we're paying for extra care, it doesn't feel right for the residents to be made to feel like they're bothering the staff when they ask for help. On the whole, the facility itself is lovely, but the employees have a whole lot to make up for.

"Some communication issues but best priced"
Overall, the staff pays close attention to residents and offers enjoyable activities. While the food options aren't very diverse, they're usually reasonable. We appreciate that it's the most affordable option for our needs. The nursing care is decent; my relative primarily interacts with the nursing staff for medication management and consultations. The only minor issue is that the executive team doesn't always monitor tasks or communicate effectively. They recently remodeled, but the heating system wasn't properly done, so they had to rely on space heaters for weeks. Despite this, my relative enjoys living there—even without her 90-year-old Jewish boyfriend.

"Super Friendly Staff"
Cottonwood Creek's price is similar to other places nearby. There's currently a urine smell in the hallway, but they are working on it. Our loved one is having a great time with all the activities. It seems like the perfect fit for them. The landscaping is nice, and the community looks beautiful when you walk in, with fresh flowers in the lobby. The food looks great and is presented nicely. It tastes a bit bland, probably because it's for the elderly, but they have a great salad bar for lunch and dinner. The dining area is set up like a restaurant with wait staff. The staff here is super friendly, and we've only had positive experiences. They go above and beyond to help and care for the residents.

"We loved the set up of the rooms and activities!"
We really liked how the rooms were set up, with big windows and balconies. It was great that they showed the food options for meals. Everyone was friendly, and the rooms were spacious and clean. The whole place felt tidy. I also enjoyed the different activity rooms and the activities listed in different spots. The emergency pull stations in the bathrooms and bedrooms, along with the pendant that calls a nurse, were impressive. However, I didn't like that the doors are locked from the outside at 7:30 p.m., and if you leave, you have to ring the doorbell to get back in. If Mom wanders, we might need to find a different location.
