"Disappointing Care and Safety Issues at Jamestown Memory Care"
My family member could walk on their own before starting at Jamestown memory care. After less than a month, they couldn't walk anymore, had fallen 18 times, and were stuck in a wheelchair due to doctor's orders. We moved them to a different place, and within 10 days, they were walking again and hadn't fallen at all. Clearly, I was really disappointed with the care at Jamestown and I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone.

"Poor Hygiene and Neglect: The Truth about Jamestown Memory Care"
Stay away from Jamestown in Provo! We housed my mom there for less than a month and it was an awful ordeal. They're understaffed and can't fulfill their promises. They treated my mom terribly and neglected to let visitors know when a majority of their residents were quarantined due to COVID. Their memory care is unclean and residents are forced to wear worn-out, towel-like bibs. They didn't change my mom's sheets, they didn't do her laundry, they said they didn't have the staff to assist her with her showers. The management is too sick themselves to train their personnel or address any problems – this detail was shared by their own Director of Memory Care Director. Now that we've moved my mom to a different care spot, we can truly see just how awful Jamestown Memory Care was. Don't send your loved one there! I wish we'd known the whole truth before we sent my mom there. I feel horrible for the people that are still living there – truly depressing.

"Mixed Experience Amidst Pandemic Challenges"
When we first moved in, the place felt so happy and healthy. It was really nice and I felt like I belonged. I enjoyed not having to cook my own meals. However, things aren't as great now due to the pandemic. They're struggling to maintain the same level of service. The cleanliness has gone down a bit because they're short-staffed, but they're trying their best. The staff are friendly but stressed. They lost a key staff member, but things are improving. The activities are great, and the community is supportive. Despite the challenges, I'm happy here.

We picked Courtyard at Jamestown because they had openings and friends working there. It was comforting to see familiar faces. Overall, I would suggest it to others.

"Clean facility, friendly staff, mixed reviews on food and activities"
Everything we’ve seen at the community has been very clean. The staff is friendly and provides good care. The activities are still pretty limited. Our father likes the food, but our mother isn’t a big fan. We would recommend Courtyard At Jamestown to others.

"A Mixed Experience"
This place was our second choice. My loved one really liked it here because of the activities and the special center for LDS residents. The food was great, and the staff were friendly. But the sales process was disappointing. The marketing director didn’t listen to us, and the pricing was way too high. Still, we liked the environment and the interactions between residents. Pricing was the only issue.

"Director promises differ from reality. Average communication. Research before deciding."
The person in charge tells you what you want to hear instead of what's true. Talking between families and workers is okay. People should look into this place before choosing it.

"Traumatic Experience at Courtyard Memory Care Facility"
The day following my mom's move to Courtyard at Jamestown Memory Care, my sister, her daughter-in-law, and my best buddy went to visit her. We found my mom dangerously stuck with her head squeezed between the bed's headboard and mattress. All of her sheets were scattered on the floor, and she was soaked in her own pee. She was freezing, dreadfully terrified, and baffled. I wouldn't want this horrible experience for anyone else's family member!

"Mixed Feelings: Jamestown Assisted Living Review"
Jamestown is good for many seniors. They have fun activities and the staff tries hard. But, my dad got sicker than they could handle. He stayed there briefly before needing a skilled nursing home. We got crucial advice from a staff member that my dad's primary doctor didn't support. Later, we found out he had several serious health issues his doctor missed. Jamestown helped us get him proper care, but his health declined rapidly. In the end, he couldn't even move for the last five days.

"Decent Facility but Whoa, Some Unsettling Discoveries!"
This place is decent - but MAN!!! My mom was a resident here for around a year and a half. While she was alive, she seemed well-cared for, but since her passing, I've discovered some alarming things about this facility. 1. After her passing, I went to gather a few items from her room and stumbled upon a mound of her mail that had been kept somewhere within the facility. How come I was never informed about this pile of letters during my numerous visits? It was an entire year's worth of mail. 2. While tidying her room, I came across a ton of partially used diaper/Depends packages. I'm almost certain I foot the bill for those. We're talking cabinets full of Depends. A host of unused medical supplies were also there. 3. We didn't even proceed with clearing out the room until after the funeral, yet I still received a bill expressing condolences and charging up to $1200+. I understand there was a contract, but come on. 4. After going through her clothes, I noticed the white clothes were no longer white. Clearly, they were not sorting the laundry properly. Plus, there were missing clothes and other items that I didn't recognize in her wardrobe. They obviously didn't keep an accurate tally of clothes and underwear. Heed my advice - take your business somewhere else.

"Too Cramped for Comfort"
While searching for a place for my dad, someone recommended this location. The staff is friendly and overall very good. However, I didn't like the layout—it felt too cramped. The dining room is small, hallways are narrow, and it's not ideal for people using walkers or wheelchairs.

"Feels Like Home"
The Courtyard at Jamestown really feels like a home away from home, not just some hotel. The building is old but very well kept, and it’s in a quiet area away from the roads, surrounded by trees with a beautiful view. I couldn’t have picked a better place for my retirement. The staff here is very attentive. They handle their responsibilities like medications and cleaning well, and they care about how they’re seen, which is nice. The food is great; the portions are just right and very healthy. The facility has lots of activities that keep us busy all day, and we have many trips off the premises, so there’s always something to do. I looked for a long time for the right place, but this community really feels like home. I would definitely recommend them.

"Mom's Choice Was Perfect for Her Needs"
My mom and I looked at a few places, and she decided on this one. I let her choose since she would be the one moving. She really liked the food, and the staff seems friendly, kind, and super helpful. My only worry is that she’s still healing from a broken hip, so she can’t join any activities yet. I noticed that the staff doesn’t really encourage her to do exercises that could help her recover. One of the most important things for me is that her room has the right temperature—not too cold or too hot. This place got it just right, which helped her make her decision.

"Great Care in a Clean, Safe Community"
This community is amazing! It's very clean and well taken care of. The staff and caregivers are really kind and helpful. The food looks healthy and nutritious. They encourage my mom to join in the activities, which is great. They also have fun outings, like field trips, and provide transportation into town. I feel she is in a safe and secure place. They give excellent care at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this place to others!

"A Safe and Loving Place for Seniors"
I work for a Home Health and Hospice Company, and we’ve had many patients at Jamestown. I can recommend it as a safe and loving place for seniors to live. The Director of Nursing is fantastic and makes sure residents’ needs are met quickly. The CNAs at Jamestown are well-trained, respectful, and have great character. The Memory Care Center is amazing! Every time we’re there, there’s a high staff-to-resident ratio, lots of activities, and happy, smiling staff and residents. I’m always impressed by the support from volunteers. There are often performance groups entertaining the residents and helping with various projects. Jamestown is a wonderful community!

"Top Senior Living in Provo/Orem!"
Courtyard at Jamestown is a wonderful place for seniors. The apartments are big with lots of storage. The dining area is very fancy, and Chef always makes tasty meals for the daily menus. The healthcare staff is excellent, with the RN and Care Coordinator helping with any extra care your loved one might need.

"Mom’s First Month Has Been Great"
My mom moved in a month ago, and the staff have been really nice. She likes them all. Housekeeping keeps her room clean with no problems. The activities are good, especially the holiday ones. The meals could use more fiber, and the lunches are better than the dinners. Overall, she’s doing well here.

"Wonderful Place with Friendly Staff and Lots of Activities"
My mom moved into the Courtyard at Jamestown just before Thanksgiving, and she seems really happy there. The place is beautiful. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and there are so many activities for different interests. She doesn’t need extra care, so I can’t say much about the medical staff. The atmosphere is very positive. Lunch is the best meal of the day. The other meals are okay but not special. They have church meetings right in the facility. It’s great that there are so many activities on site, so she doesn’t have to go outside in the cold. So far, this seems like a great choice.

"Courtyard Assisted Living: Clean, Friendly, but Limited Food Choices"
My mother-in-law is still getting used to Courtyard. She doesn't love the food options, and there aren't many. But she's mostly happy with the staff. They have stuff to do every day, and there's a ride on Tuesdays and Thursdays, although it's not far, and it's only for two hours. There are about 120 people here, and it's neat and tidy.

"Wonderful place with caring staff and great activities!"
The food here is great, and there’s always plenty of it. The kitchen staff ask what the residents want and make sure to meet their needs. The staff are caring, super nice, and knowledgeable, making it a loving place to be. The community is kept clean, and the flower beds around the building are beautiful. They have many activities, like fishing and feeding the ducks.

"Mixed Feelings About Stellar's Takeover of Courtyard"
We really enjoyed the folks at Courtyard at Jamestown Assisted Living, but then Stellar bought them. Things haven't been the same since the new management. My dad's thermostat isn't working, and they want us to fix it, which doesn't make much sense to me. We're hoping things will improve. Right now, we're not too happy with them.
