"Assisted Living Facility Needs Improvement in Staff Interaction and Care"
I put my father-in-law in this place recently. The people who work there are nice, but they spend a lot of time on their phones when we show up. The outdoor area isn't taken care of well - the furniture is old, and the gardens are messy. Considering how much money you pay, they should do a better job so the elderly folks can enjoy being outside. It's a pretty location, though. The rooms and garbage aren't cleaned much. The food isn't great; it seems like it's frozen, and they keep serving the same things. It would be good if they offered more salads and fresh food. Also, my father-in-law has been there for three weeks and hasn't had any activities. Luckily, we live close by so we can take him out. It would be better if the staff interacted more. Plus, they don't even wear name tags, which worries me about the residents who can't speak up for themselves. My dad is 92 and speaks his mind, which I'm thankful for. The place itself is nice, though.

"Dire Experience at Elk Meadows Assisted Living Facility"
This assisted living facility was simply terrible! The meals they served were always either cold, overcooked, or delivered tardily. The call light system was regularly not responded to for up to 2 hours. They were constantly understaffed, with staff members often visibly stressed due to having only two people attending to all the residents during the evening. The carpets and the bathrooms were left uncleaned. My mom refused to move elsewhere due to wanting to stay close to home, however, this decision caused a lot of suffering for her and for us. The facility had three Executive Directors in one year, proving that nobody wished to stay there. I would definitely not recommend "Elk Meadows." It's worth making the extra trip to find a facility of better quality that has successfully passed a state inspection.

"Lovely Place"
The Activities Director is so fun and outgoing. She really is a difference maker. Jest last month they went to a Llama farm, and also had horses come to the building! The Executive Director is compassionate and you can tell he just wants the best for his residents. The location is peaceful and serene with beautiful views.

"Older but spacious facility with warm staff, needs better cleanliness."
It's an old place, really big, with super nice and friendly people. I think it could be cleaner. They have awesome stuff to do and the place looks really nice. The area around it is so pretty, lots of land!

"Warm, Welcoming Community with Room for Improvement"
This place is pretty old and really big, but the folks here are super nice and friendly. I think it could be cleaner though. They've got awesome stuff to do and the surroundings are lovely. There's a ton of land around the place, it's really beautiful!

"A great place for seniors!"
We were lucky to have my mother-in-law stay at Elk Meadows while we remodeled her home. Now she is back home and very comfortable. Her time at Elk Meadows was really good! She loved the exercise program, and the food was okay. The staff was super friendly and helpful! I think this is a great place for seniors with different needs!
