"Assisted Living Facility: Mixed Experience with Staff and Amenities"
I didn't have a good time there. I felt sorry for the people still there. I had state inspectors come, but I'm not sure if it made a difference. I hope it did for the sad people still there. When I first arrived, another woman was in charge, but she got sick two weeks later and left, and things went downhill from there. My own experience was awful. The Director of Nursing made my life terrible; she was unfair about medication and kept changing the rules about money. She even let her children run around and scream in the facility. It ruined my experience and made me stay in my room. They stopped cleaning my room for the last two months I was there, so I can't give an accurate review on cleanliness, but I had to clean my own room and take out my trash. Some of the staff were friendly and caring, but the Director of Nursing made the good ones leave, so there was a constant turnover, and I didn't get to know the new staff. Sometimes they could be mean and yell at me and other residents. The food was terrible; I preferred eating out even though it was provided. There was an activity lady who was nice, but she quit because of the Director. Overall, it was a mixed experience with both good and bad aspects.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living Facility"
When my loved one passed away, I didn’t get any kind words from the facility, which let me down. They seemed more interested in getting another month’s rent. The friendly people there were the only reason we didn’t leave. But the workers keep changing, and sometimes there’s no one to lead activities for a long while. The meals were okay and the place was pretty clean. The staff treated my loved one nicely. Yet, the price kept going up every few months, by more than a few hundred dollars, while the services seemed to get worse.

"Needs Better Care and Leadership"
The place looks good, but the outside area needs work. It feels sad here. Many people are upset because there’s not enough staff to help with the things they need and have paid for. It seems like no one listens to us. We should have a nicer place with caring staff who really want to spend time with us, not just treat it like any job. This place could be great if we had the right person in charge and someone making sure everything’s done right.

"Unhappy Resident Criticizes Assisted Living Facility"
I don't like it here. They said I could handle my own meds but then changed their minds. Some med techs are nice, but the bosses are terrible. I hide in my room to avoid them. The food is terrible, and the soda machine is always broken. They have bingo every day if you're into that. I'd rather pay less and live in my own place.

"Friendly, Accessible Assisted Living"
We picked Ridgeview Gardens because it’s smaller, so she won’t get lost. The staff is friendly and always there. I’d recommend it to other families.

"Unavailability and Neglect at Assisted Living Facility"
I would advise others to find a different facility. They charged an upfront fee for an evaluation my family member didn't get. They were supposed to monitor her blood pressure, but didn't. There was no staff to help when we arrived and it took half an hour to find someone. Starting at the end of the week, there were no employees present. When I called to check on her, it took 20 rings before someone picked up. The refrigerator didn't fit right and would fall from the cabinet. Her room's doorknob was broken from day one, the key didn't fit, and they never fixed it during her entire stay.

"Unsafe Assisted Living Facility Lacks Adequate Staff, Needs Oversight"
Absolutely Unsafe! This place regularly lacks the proper number of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on duty, which should always be at least two. If one CNA can't make it in, management expects the other CNA to find their own replacement, which is often impossible. That leaves just one CNA responsible for the care of 36 residents. How come the managers don't have backup staff on standby or step in themselves? It's unbelievable to think that it's okay for one staff to look after 36 people! Should an emergency, like a fire occur, that CNA can't possibly ensure the safety of 36 individuals. This has become an all-too-common scenario. The place definitely needs better staffing. Where's the state's supervision in this?

"Unsafe conditions with insufficient care at Assisted Living Facility"
This facility often only has one caregiver on duty, a majority of the time. There's no contingency plan if someone skips their shift. This results in one caregiver being responsible for 36 residents' total care most times. It's so unsafe! The care given is also insufficient, even when there are enough employees.

"Clean, friendly, but more rest home feel than assisted living."
Ridgeview Gardens of St. George was a nice visit. The place was clean and tidy. The staff were kind and helped us with all our questions. It felt more like a place for resting rather than active assisted living, which we needed as we are still quite mobile.

"Limited Information at Ridgeview Gardens"
When I visited Ridgeview Gardens, the tour was okay. However, when we left, they didn't provide any additional information. They simply showed us around, shared the price, and that was all. In contrast, other places gave us a pamphlet to take home.

My mom seems happy here with activities and lots of caregivers. It's smaller and easier for her to get around.
