"Horrible Conditions and Care at Salt Lake Assisted Living Facility"
This place is the worst in Salt Lake valley, hands down. The air conditioning is busted and the heating is unreliable. The head nurse couldn't care less about her patients. Things have gone seriously downhill since Silverado stopped managing. The administrators are trying, but the bigwigs up at corporate are horrible! Please don't send your family member here.

"Auberge Care Quality Dips; Staff Overworked, Facility Needs Freshening"
I've had a family member at Auberge for a year and more. The care they get has been going downhill. Also, seeing the employees leave and not being replaced is shocking. The nursing assistants are hardworking, despite their heavy load, and are mostly kind. A few nurses know how to treat the residents well. The resident doctor is fantastic. However, the place itself seems worn out and can be too warm many times.

"Caring Staff, More Attention Needed"
The food’s pretty good here because they’ve got a nice chef. I get why they’re keeping COVID rules, but they’re a pain. Still, we followed them to keep everyone safe. They really need more people working here. My family member was often by himself in a tough spot in the home. It seemed like no one could stop to chat for a bit. Without getting to know the staff, it’s hard to trust them. I was worried about how patients were getting along. My dad didn’t really get to know anyone well. The staff that were there were nice to us and to him when they were around. Keeping track of personal stuff was a mess, though I know that’s tough for any place, especially with laundry duties. We lost a bunch of my family member’s things, like his slippers. This place is for skilled nursing care, so they have patients who need a lot of help. It feels kind of plain because of that. It might not have been perfect for my family member, but he was mostly taken care of well. Most people here seem okay. But since they have doctors and nurses all the time, it costs a lot with all the care they give.

"Expensive Stay With Terrible Care in Misrepresenting Facility"
I can't offer any positive feedback. My husband's stay was absolutely expensive and terrible. His medical treatment was subpar. The care for his wound was dreadful and he lost another toe. They even limit access to external providers under false pretenses. They claim to be a hospital but when it comes to resident's seeking reimbursement from long-term care, they insist they're an assisted living facility, yet don't follow the related regulations. It feels like a dangerous environment suitable only for those beyond caring. There's also talk in the hospice community that the facility's reputation has gone downhill after changing hands.

"Avoid This Assisted Living: Impersonal, Understaffed, Unsanitary Conditions"
The boss and doctor aren't friendly. Feels like it's all about cash. Caregivers and nurses are good but too few for each person. Dad was neglected and sometimes not clean. Never coming back here. Also, the place smells like pee.

"Mixed Experience in Assisted Living Facility"
My husband stayed at Silverado for a partial hip replacement. He was in rehab there for 2 months before moving back to assisted living. They took good care of him and offer many options if something happens. However, expenses can add up and the large building is confusing. Not recommended for memory care or dementia, but otherwise beautiful.

"Overworked Staff and Neglectful Management Ruin Assisted Living Experience"
I wouldn't ever bring a family member back here. It feels like they're just trying to squeeze every penny out of the people staying here. The boss and main doctor don't seem to really care about the folks in their care. The nurses and other staff are really kind and do a good job with the people staying here, but they're clearly overworked. They need more staff here for sure. I even found my dad unresponsive and wet a couple of times. I wouldn't bring anyone I love here again.' .

"Great care and activities, but a bit costly."
The assisted living facility is really nice and provides good care. The staff members are excellent and take great care of everyone. They offer wonderful activities too. It is a bit expensive, but I would recommend it for those who can afford it.

"Negligent Care Strips Senior of Quality Life in Facility"
Our experience with this assisted living facility was absolutely awful. Initially, we were promised that my dad, who has certain behavioral problems, would be placed in either a private or double room where his behaviors could be assessed before pairing him with a suitable roommate. However, on the very first night, I was informed that his new roommate was not happy with his presence. My dad was subjected to yelling and cursing, and they wanted to move him to another room with a different roommate. This directly contradicted their previous promise of a private room. To put an end to my dad's ordeal, I had to pay an exorbitant monthly fee of $10,000 so that he could have a private room. Yet, his first roommate was still in the double room, paying a much lower rate than us. Moreover, my dad's health rapidly declined under their care. He had never fallen down before his stay at Silverado. After being admitted, however, he began to struggle with balance due to a questionable medication regimen. Despite obvious signs like bruises and swelling, the staff seemed utterly oblivious to his falls. No precautionary measures were taken to prevent further falls or to adjust his medication to alleviate dizziness. His condition worsened after a major fall that led us to rush him to the ER. A CAT scan revealed a fractured neck and pneumonia. Both conditions went unnoticed by the staff, even though they had him examined just two days prior to the incident. His coughing and chest pain, telltale signs of his health issues, were also overlooked. Now, he only has a handful of days left to live. Instead of enjoying a semblance of quality life in his last days, he is left with none - all due to their negligence. In hindsight, I regret not keeping him at home.

"Horrific Conditions at Assisted Living Facility"
I'll never go back to this place for sure. When my mom was returned to us from her brief stay, she was in a terrible state. She was dressed partially and was unclean. Her face even had dried up vomit on it, and shockingly we were given another patient's strong painkillers. Her own meds were not handed over, so I had to drive there to collect them myself, where I found that one was even missing. We spent two agonizing days at home helping mom get back into shape. Despite a promise from the director that mom’s clothes would be cleaned, they weren't. The dirty clothes were just stuffed into plastic bags in her luggage. Our CNA tried to talk to the director about these issues, but he just went into his office and shut the door on us.
