"Clean and Caring Senior Living Facility"
My family member lives at The Ridge Cottonwood Senior Living and overall, it’s been great for her. The place is super clean. The staff are all really nice and upbeat. Moving in was fine. The care and costs are decent. The activities are fun. I’d suggest The Ridge Cottonwood Senior Living to others.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
I think they face the same staffing problems as other places. Sometimes it takes 20 minutes to get help. A few staff members are friendlier and more patient than others. The dining room service can be slow at times.

"Mixed feelings about assisted living: good amenities, high costs."
My mom's room on the main floor is great, and the layout is nice. The room is spacious and always clean. The staff is friendly, although sometimes it seems like they could use more help. Overall, they do a good job. My mom really enjoys the food here, especially compared to other places she's stayed. She doesn't move around much, so she doesn't attend many events, but it's good to know they're available. The price seemed high when we chose this place, and it's gone up three times since my mom moved in. Even though her needs haven't changed much, her care level has been raised to a 3. They say she needs two people to help her move now, but usually, only one person shows up. When my mom was very weak, I tried calling the head nurse, but she was slow to get back to me. She's often tied up in meetings. The hospice nurse has been helpful overall, but has made a few mistakes. Things are improving, though. I like this place, but with the rising costs and my mom's limited participation in activities, I'm starting to think we should look into other options. Her rent is now [amount removed] a month.

"Quality Care and Activities Make The Ridge a Great Choice"
Our loved one's experience at The Ridge has been really nice so far. We haven't been here for very long, but it's already much better than our previous place. The staff here aren't temporary; they all know a lot about taking care of people with dementia and Alzheimer's. They even have activities for everyone to do.

"Great care staff, good activities, with minor administrative issues"
I have a few small issues (like clothes going missing and random people in rooms), but I know that’s just part of dealing with mental health. Overall, I haven’t had any big problems. The care staff are fantastic – I really like them. I don’t get along with the admin staff as well as I do with the caregivers, but everyone seems to be doing their best. My loved one likes the food, and the activities are really good. I’ve even joined in on some of them myself.

"Excellent care and support with quick, accommodating service"
The Ridge Cottonwood has been fantastic from the beginning to the end. When we needed a room, they had one available the very same day and were extremely accommodating. They took care of everything by 5 o'clock that evening. They’ve continued to do a great job even though they have a lot to handle, and they really take good care of him. When there were some cases of COVID in February, they quickly shut things down. I wasn’t able to visit him, but I asked if I could come in through a back door since his room was close to it, and they let me do that every day to help him since he was still upset. Our family members who visit often comment on how clean and nice-smelling the place is. They always have plenty of activities for the residents, even though my loved one doesn’t join in much. I would definitely recommend this facility to others.

"Nice community with friendly staff, but pricey and small rooms"
This is a nice place with friendly staff who help residents. The rooms are a bit small, and the cost is higher than we hoped.

"Top-Notch Facility with Great Programs and Friendly Staff"
This place is top-notch with a new building. It’s a very social place to grow old with the latest programs and friendly staff. The food was great, the staff was great, and the surroundings were beautiful. The best part was how residents, both assisted and independent, mingled together. There were lots of different programs and activities, both inside and outside. If there’s a downside, it’s the room sizes and the high prices.

"Nice Home, Terrible Food"
My folks moved into this home about a year ago. The place itself and the rooms are really nice. The people working there are kind and always ready to lend a hand. But, they've really got to do better with their food. They seem to be skimping there. The food we've had or seen is just not good. Most things are overcooked and dry. It seems like they reuse old food to make "new" meals. My husband once got a meal that was some dry mix of chili and noodles. They don't take time to make the food look nice before serving it. One time, I ordered a breaded pork chop. It was about 2x2" and was served alongside about a cup of corn. The meat was dry, tough, and hard to eat. The salad bar was so unappetizing it made me lose my hunger. Ice cream usually arrives half melted. Some folks at our table didn't even touch their dinner. They told me they had reported their issues with the food, but nobody seems to heed their complaints. So, even though this place is pretty swanky, the food really isn't good. Eating there isn't a pleasant experience!

"Lovely Assisted Living Tour, But Limited Two-Bedroom Availability"
I toured this community and it was impressive. It looked nice and tidy, with folks enjoying puzzles. The garden space was large and inviting. However, they didn't have enough two-bedroom options, which didn't work for my parents.

"Caring Stay!"
My mom stayed at this community for a short respite, and I have no complaints about how things went for her. The staff did an excellent job taking care of her. If I ever need help again, we'll definitely return to this place. They paid close attention to her needs, keeping her comfortable and entertained. I recommend this place to anyone interested.

My mom's health isn't great, but this place takes good care of her. The community looks nice and is very well kept. The staff is great, always attentive and responsive to my concerns. "Aesthetics Don't Compensate for Poor Care in Assisted Living"
We moved grandpa in as soon as they opened their doors. The building looked great, but we were seriously let down. They were clueless when it came to handling residents with memory problems. One afternoon, I came to visit grandpa and found him lying in bed, covered in his own filth. I was horrified and so worried. It seemed like he'd been in that state for a while, so I asked the nurse. She confessed no one had checked on him all day. That treatment was cruel. The cleaning progress was slow, and grandpa was clearly distressed. They're understaffed, and the employees just don't seem to care for their residents. The place may look nice, but what good is that if they can't even fulfill basic needs for our family?

"Cottonwood Place gave us peace of mind."
Making this decision was hard, but Cottonwood Place changed everything. After visiting over 10 places, Cottonwood felt like a breath of fresh air. The facility looks like a fine hotel—beautiful spaces, stylish décor, and a friendly, knowledgeable staff who really care. They use new ways to help your loved one adjust smoothly. The residents looked happy—chatting in the bistro, reading, relaxing by the fire. Dinner even smelled amazing, like something you’d love to eat! Plus, when you’re dealing with all the paperwork and stress, they’re there for you, always answering your calls. Truly a great experience!

"Inadequate Care at Cottonwood Place for Memory Care Patients"
I visited Cottonwood Place Senior Living and initially, it seemed great. I enrolled my 96-year-old dad in their memory care program. However, the person running the program wasn't effective and didn't seem properly trained for memory care responsibilities. After some time, they informed me my dad was sleeping excessively. Once, I went to see him and was horrified to find him lying in his own waste. When I complained about it, their excuses were unsatisfactory and failed to justify the lack of adequate care. I have since moved my dad to a different facility where he is significantly improving. Cottonwood Place might be suitable for others, but I would not recommend it for folks requiring memory care services.

"A Wonderful Place for My Dad!"
I chose this amazing facility for my 95-year-old father. The place is beautifully furnished, and the staff is incredibly helpful to both him and our family. They made his move much easier with their friendly support. It’s also close for visits, which is great for those who live nearby.

I talked to a resident, and he really liked his experience. He was happy with everything he received the care was good, and the facility felt comfortable. Considering the cost, he thought it was sufficient overall.
