"Mom's favorite, highly recommended, no comparisons"

We liked how it felt, and my mom liked it the most. I would recommend it. It's my only experience with a place like this, so I don't have anything to compare it to.

"Great Choice for Families!"

We recommend it. We chose it because it's near family, affordable, and a pleasant place.

"Review: Great Activities but Poor Medical and Covid Practices"

My mom's time here wasn't good at all. She was in hospice care but they kept getting her drugs mixed up. It got so bad, I had to take over. I also felt like they didn't do enough to stop Covid from spreading. Sure, they talked well but didn't do much about the problems. We had a few chats to fix issues, but nothing happened. It always seemed like I had to bring up the problems first. Now, they have hired some new people, even a new boss. So, there might be some positive changes. The cleaning crew came once a week and did a solid job. Also, the planned activities were really great. But I would advise against this place if you or your loved one have health problems. Maybe it's ok for someone who can live on their own.

"Disappointing Experience at The Wellington Assisted Living"

The boss at The Wellington seems new. They offer different levels of care. When the boss said our mom needed more help, she suggested a care plan that restricted her movement and suggested moving her to another community. We got her assessed at two other places, and they said she could stay on the assisted living side with more help. But The Wellington made her leave. They wouldn't let us pay for the better care they offer. The staff talked about my mom in unkind ways. The front desk person even told me and my sister that no one likes our mom. Mom has felt very uncomfortable leaving her room. I hope this review helps others decide where to get the care, love, and acceptance their loved ones need.

"Facility Fails in Staff Friendliness and Decent Organization"

This place would be at the bottom of my list if I needed to choose a home for the elderly. Just last week, I saw a naked man in the corridor. When I complained to the management, they hid behind the so-called HIPAA laws and refused to talk about the incident but revealed that the man is suffering from dementia. The staff here is not friendly at all. The entire facility seemed disorganized and like they didn't have enough employees.

"Poor Staffing, Dirty Environment, Limited Activities at Wellington"

If you're searching for a caring place for your family member, don't include Wellington in your options. It's lacking enough staff, has dirty rooms, and too dim light. The activities are old-fashioned, unexciting and repetitive. Their Activity Director's office is messy and disorganized. After meals, they rush the residents off to bed. They tend to overlook a lot of alarming issues - like when they called me to say my mom was found unclothed in a man's room, brushing it off as 'they're both adults'. There are men wandering around in only their diapers or even without any clothes. Consider a different place.

"Too Much Clutter, Tight Space"

When I first checked out this place, it had a pretty cool open area and the salespeople were friendly. But my loved one didn't like it. The hallways felt too tight and there was so much stuff everywhere. It was hard to get around. It was just too packed and space was tight. Because of this, we didn't decide to move into here.

"Almost Moved In, But Not the Right Fit"

“My parents had already paid for a great apartment. They were ready to move in, but then they had a meal there. There were a lot of disabled residents. My parents are very active, and it wasn’t as clean or modern as the other places we saw. It just wasn’t right for them.”

"A Bit Pricey"

My mom and I were searching for a place for her to live, and we almost settled on this one. Mom was a bit worried about the cost, but we seriously considered it. Overall, the facility was really nice. She wasn't thrilled that she couldn't visit Salt Lake City if she wanted to. I even brought my dog along to check things out, and they were pretty accommodating. In the end, we chose a different place, but this one wasn't bad.

"Mom's Comfort Assured"

This place was great! It's big, but I worried about Mom getting lost. She'd have to take an elevator to eat or do stuff, and I was scared they'd say she needed more help, costing more. But the staff I met was nice and helpful.

"Highly Recommended"

We highly recommend the Wellington. Over the past 2 years, everyone taking care of our mom - from the nursing staff, CNAs, housekeeping, kitchen staff, and management - always goes the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect. They are efficient, kind, and attentive. The activities and all the facilities, like the kitchen, building, and grounds, are amazing and well-managed. We especially want to thank [Removed] for their personal and unmatched involvement in every part of the Wellington’s operations and administration. The positive, generous, and friendly culture they have created is clear in every employee.

"Warm Welcome and Immaculate Care at The Wellington"

I was really impressed when I first walked in. The staff and residents greeted me with smiles and hellos, making the place feel warm and positive. The building was super clean and well-kept. I highly recommend The Wellington if you want a caring, loving, comfortable, and fun place for your loved one. They answered all my questions and made my experience amazing.

"This is the perfect place!"

After visiting several places for Mom, this one truly stood out. With five daughters, three of us were on the "hunt." When we walked into The Wellington, it felt like a warm hug. It was welcoming, clean (not too clinical), and very professional. Getting all of us to agree on a place was a small miracle! The residents we spoke to seemed really happy and content. Mom’s first week was filled with meals, sharing stories, and lots of laughs. At 93, she has really brightened up since moving to The Wellington. Thank you, 'A Place For Mom,' for helping us find success at last!

"Highly recommend The Wellington!"

We are very happy with The Wellington. My mom is doing great—she's eating well and staying active. It’s been a wonderful experience. Walking in feels like entering a beautiful hotel. She loves the exercise classes, and everything has worked out perfectly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

"Need to Stay Alert at Wellington Assisted Living Facility"

Wellington is a decent place with nice apartments. My dad lived there for nearly two years. It's a great spot if your mom or dad is healthy, but once medical assistance is needed, you really need to be on your guard. Make sure to check the emergency call button; my dad's wasn't working and no one came when he used it. This is vital because elders can easily fall over. My dad died in the middle of the month. Please be aware that you're required to give 30 days notice, even after death. I paid around $5000 for less than half a month and only got less than $1000 back. They also require an upfront deposit and make loads of money from people moving in and out, which is tough on families who are already hurting. The staff is nice and hardworking, but there aren't enough of them and they're not watched enough. Keep a sharp eye on your loved one, which can be tough if you're far away like I was. The food is pretty good and the dining area is nice. If your parents are generally healthy, this is a great place. Just make sure to stay involved and read the contract. My sister was the one who signed my dad up, so I didn't know about the 30 days notice clause, or else I would've had my dad moved to a skilled nursing facility. There's a really nice new nurse named Lisa who helped my dad at the end, which was really comforting. But in the end, it's a business and it can be tough on a limited income.

"New Head Nurse Hampering Experience at Wellington"

My folks moved into Wellington around three years ago and most of the aides have been amazing. However, the past two years brought a new head nurse who's always making us feel afraid by threatening to remove our parents from the facility. Our family's experience has turned into quite an anxiety-ridden ride. If your parents are healthy, it's probably a nice place, but if they have health issues, we'd advise you to take them to a different place. Which, for the record, is something we've already done.

"From Four Sons: Thank You for Exceptional Care at Wellington"

Our dad has been living at Wellington for six years now. He’s faced some challenges along the way, but the staff has always treated him with kindness, awareness, and professionalism to help him live more comfortably. The facility looks great, with lovely walking gardens, a game room, a computer room, and even a library for residents to enjoy. Dad loves the breakfasts and dinners. On behalf of my three brothers, we want to thank Wellington for the excellent care they’ve given our father.

"Excellent Chef and Friendly Community"

The chef here is amazing, and the food is great. The only small problem is that there isn’t enough parking. The staff is super friendly, and the community is clean and well-maintained.

"Questionable Upkeep Could Impact Resident Care"

We visited this place and I was left feeling underwhelmed. The fact that the roof needs fixing or at least all of the frequently stained ceiling tiles should be replaced, stuck out to me. I saw a lack of upkeep in the building. That made me wonder how they'd take care of my loved one when they can't even maintain their own spaces.

"Let Down by Wellington Assisted Living's Negligence"

In August 2013, my father-in-law moved into the Wellington assisted living facility. Unfortunately, he had a stroke and fell in his room. When we found him, he was on the floor desperately trying to get up, with severe scrapes on his knees and bleeding feet. No one from the Wellington had bothered to check on him, and it was his daughter who found him on a Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m., still in his bed clothes. What's more, a plant had been delivered to his room and placed on the kitchen counter without the delivery person noticing he was in distress. When we took him to the hospital, the doctors said he was extremely dehydrated and checked for broken bones. Sadly, he was moved from the hospital to a hospice, and it seems he won't live much longer. My family and I are very dissatisfied with the Wellington's services.

"Great Food, Active Residents, and Price Flexibility"

They had some billing issues that were confusing, and my mom wasn't happy with them directing clients to their doctors. I’m not sure if there’s a financial reason behind it, or if they’re just trying to be helpful. However, my parents really enjoy the food and gym. It's the only place we visited with a workout room. They've also gone to some lectures and shopping trips. What made my mom choose The Wellington was the other residents. She thought they were happier, friendlier, and more active. The Wellington was also flexible with the price.

"Looks Great Yet with Questionable Value"

This place is somewhat neat and the employees are kind of nice. Up to now, it's cost quite a bit based on what we've received. This is because she needed to head to the hospital for professional nursing care, but we were still paying The Wellington throughout. We picked it because it looks great.

""Almost a Nursing Home, Costs More""

The place seemed pretty decent, but it felt like a mini locked-up facility. You had to sign in and out every time. It was almost like being in a nursing home and it cost more than the community we finally chose.

"Single visit experience: parents felt the rooms were too cramped."

Went there one time. Mom and dad thought rooms were tiny.
