"Needs Improvement in Service and Communication"
Last week, they still hadn't taken the rent for this month. They keep taking money from my family member's checking account, even though they're only supposed to use the savings account. We've asked a few questions about the care they're giving and for records of certain things happening, but we haven't gotten any answers, and it's been about two months now. Overall, they really need to make some changes to make everything better.

"Strong Smell Overpowered Otherwise Nice Assisted Living Facility"
During our tour, everyone we met was really friendly and ready to assist. As soon as we entered, though, the place smelled strongly of cleaning products. Despite that, overall, it was a pleasant tour and a nice place to consider.

"Mixed Experience with Escalante at Draper Assisted Living"
We've mostly liked Escalante at Draper. It's clean, bright, and staff are friendly. Compared to other places we looked at, it's a good deal. They need better communication and easier access after 7PM. They were recently bought out, so we hope for improvements. Overall, it's been good for my mom.

"Facility Exploits Vulnerable Patients and Family; Withholds Refunds"
Don't put your loved ones in this facility! My mother spent a significant sum for them to evaluate my dad who has Alzheimer’s. They told us he would be okay there and they would accept him. However, just two days after we moved him in, they moved him to a different place because they said they couldn't handle him unless he was medicated. They promised that they would accept him again if my mom paid them for a whole month. She did, but they never took my dad back even though he was there for less than a week. They kept all my mom's money. This place might be cheaper than other facilities but there's a reason for that. I recently learned that they convinced my mom to sign an agreement without explaining what it was all about. They exploited an elderly woman who had no idea what she was signing.

"Improper Care and Injuries Mar Assisted Living Experience"
The people in charge were okay, but the caregivers were not good. They kept putting her hearing aids in wrong, causing trouble. Sometimes they didn't take off the wheelchair's feet, which hurt her legs. When lifting her, they often bruised her arm. One night, a caregiver dropped her because he wasn't careful. Because of these problems, I had to move her out. If they trained their caregivers better, my mom could've stayed.

This place costs way too much. The workers mostly just say what they think you want to hear. Only a few of them actually do what they say they will.

"Active Mom Requires More Than Typical Care Home"
I visited this place with my mom and she didn't like it. There was nothing bad about it - they had nice rooms and everything was clean. Any question we had was answered by the staff. But, it reminded mom of a hospital. She's still lively and the folks in there were mostly in wheelchairs, not active. So, we felt it wasn't a good match for her and picked another place instead.

"Great Experience for Respite Stay!"
I have no complaints about how things went for my loved one during his respite stay at this community. The staff was very kind and always answered his questions in detail. He had no issues with the activities and enjoyed joining in with the other residents from time to time. We will definitely choose this place again when we need a spot for Dad.

"A Cozy Place for Care"
I visited this place for my mom’s care. She didn’t choose it because it felt too much like a nursing home. There was a small odor, but everything else was nice. This is a good community with a nice atmosphere. I would recommend it to other families for its good value.

"Inconsistent Medication Management at Assisted Living Facility"
Wentworth at Draper is a nice place, but my mom and I didn't have a good time there. The food was okay, and Mom enjoyed some activities. But they didn't give her medicine, and nobody knew she ran out over the weekend. They didn't seem to care much. I don't think there are enough CNAs for the patients. Mom had to go to the hospital, and she won't go back there.

"Mixed Experience at Wentworth Assisted Living Facility"
Our time at Wentworth was short, but it was alright. The place looked nice, and everything was kept very clean. The food was a bit bland, but I guess they have to cook for different diets, so that makes sense. The staff wasn't too bad, they were pretty good to deal with. However, the community felt a bit like an assembly line, which I didn't like. Also, we had to supply a lot of things she needed, like towels and bath aids, which I think they should have provided. So, there were some good things and some bad things about this community.

From the moment you walk into this community, you can tell that the staff is there for the right reasons. They really love and care for the residents, which makes it feel like home. When you enter, you see staff hugging residents and taking the time to connect with them. I truly believe that The Wentworth is a special place, all because of the love and care from the staff.

"Exceptional, Caring Staff and Great Environment"
The transition to an assisted living facility can be hard, but from the start, I’ve felt like The Wentworth is my home. Everyone here has been thoughtful, helpful, and caring. I feel like the CNAs take their jobs seriously and are very accommodating. The Med Techs are careful when giving out medication. He handles the business side, and even though he manages the whole facility, he’s friendly and always available. The secretaries are efficient and help residents in many ways. The nurse, and her team are caring and do their jobs well. I think the food staff does a good job with what they have, but I feel this area could use a bit more support. For those of us who love to eat, we’d like fresh vegetables and meats. I’m especially happy with the activities. They care about their jobs, do them well, and love the residents. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Wentworth to anyone who wants to live with an efficient and caring staff. Overall, I think this is an exceptional facility.

"A True Paradise for Healing and Care"
I stayed at another place before coming to The Wentworth, and I had many problems there. But since I arrived here, it feels like I’ve found paradise! The atmosphere here is very calming, and the staff and residents are all so kind. The staff truly wants you to succeed here, and you can see it in everything they do. Everyone is dedicated to creating a first-class healing environment. I feel very peaceful here, which helps me relax and heal. The dining room staff serves excellent meals that are tasty and enjoyable. They really care about their work, which is so important because good food is essential for our well-being. I can't believe my luck in finding a place that cares so much about me!

"Poor Communication and Understaffing Compromises Quality of Care"
My relative often seems overlooked and misinterpreted due to language barriers here. Several employees who don't speak English as their native language frequently converse in Spanish amongst themselves. Without proper communication, how can they provide adequate care? I've addressed this issue with the management team, but no improvements were made. I bear no ill will towards their language or culture, but it's baffling that they'd hire staff who can't understand me. This naturally brings up concerns about their ability to effectively communicate with the residents. Coupled with a seemingly perpetual understaffing issue, the quality of care has been disappointing. Given the hefty costs of nursing care, it's unfair that my loved one's needs are neglected because staff is insufficient. We've made the decision to relocate our family member to a facility where she can receive better care.

"Great management, minor nurse issue resolved!"
The management team at Wentworth at Draper is awesome. We had a small issue with one of the nurses, but we talked about it and hopefully it’s fixed now. They have good-sized rooms for their residents, which is why we chose this place. We moved my dad for other reasons, and now he’s closer to home, so we can visit him more often.

"Mixed Experience with Assisted Living"
After the first night, our experience was mostly positive. On arrival, the staff seemed unprepared and a bit rude. They accidentally hurt my mother’s arm, but management addressed the issue. Despite some confusion, the community is clean, and most staff members are friendly. Unfortunately, I was still expected to pay for the last two weeks after my mom passed away.

"Awful Treatment at Wentworth Assisted Living - Stay AWAY!"
Don't bring anyone you care about to this place. Seriously, I wouldn't suggest it to anyone. My family member lived at the Wentworth for five months. Initially, the people in charge seem kind, saying your family member will be treated like part of their own family. This didn't end up being true at all. Our family member was treated badly. We found her upset often, but when we asked what was wrong, we were told she was just difficult and didn't cooperate. Even though she's never been difficult before, we tried talking to her about how she should act, explaining the rules to her. I visited her every day at the Wentworth for 1-2 hours. I saw things that were really not okay. They don't have enough staff, so the residents aren't cared for like they're supposed to be. Some employees do their best, but others will ignore your loved one if they just decide they don't like them. My family member had recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. When she was first at the Wentworth, she could still take care of herself and talk. However, she started declining and became incontinent. The assistants complained about this. The stress of learning about Alzheimer's and its stages was made worse by the Wentworth failing to recognize her symptoms as part of her disease. We even felt bad enough that we cleaned the bathroom ourselves when our family member had an accident. The assistant, was horrible to our loved one and mistreated her repeatedly. I saw her being unkind to other residents too. Our family member was moved to a special memory care unit, the Stratford, without us agreeing or being told. We got a phone call telling us she was getting moved because they can't handle incontinence. At the Stratford, our family member was miserable. During summer, it was hot inside the building, hitting 85 degrees. I complained to the new director, but nothing changed. The rooms were gross, with human waste on the floor and toilet seat. Again, we cleaned it up ourselves. The assistants there, except for one who was kind, were cruel to our family member. I don't know why she's working in a field where she's supposed to care for people. If you're wondering why we stayed seven months, we were waiting for a spot at another place to open up. WATCH OUT! Don't put your loved one in this place. It's absolutely TERRIBLE!

"Overall, a positive and informative visit"
I went for an unannounced visit to see how things looked without planning ahead. No one was available to show us around at first, so we set up a visit for the following Monday. During the tour, they showed us around the assisted living area, which was in a separate building, and we liked that. Next, we looked at the memory care section, also in a separate building. I liked how the semi-private rooms were set up. They had a wall separating the residents instead of just a curtain like in some places. There was a personal walk-in closet, and I liked that she could bring her own furniture. The community was clean, and the price was average for this type of place. The woman who gave us the tour was very nice and friendly, and she answered all our questions. Overall, it was a good experience.

"Location Too Far for Mom; Home Beautiful but Expensive"
My mom couldn't drive there easily. The place looked old but nice and clean, with a pretty entrance having a warm fireplace and comfy furniture. The people we talked to living there seemed happy. They charged too much based on the level of help you need, so we might not afford it.

"Started Off Well, Couldn't Meet Grandma's Needs Ultimately"
At first, the assisted living facility seemed really nice. But, they had issues with my grandma's needs. Most of the staffer's were awesome. One worker, who was kind of mean, ended up telling a visitor that he thought my grandma was too hard to deal with. That wasn’t cool. They seemed bothered when we visited too much. I saw them telling other families that they weren't allowed to have cameras in the rooms. It almost felt like they preferred when families left their loved ones there and only came back once in a blue moon. That's just the vibe we got. My grandma didn’t like pressing her call button. The place did have some fun things to do and it was really clean. So, it wasn't all bad.
