"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
I lived there for four years. It was a cheap place for people with low incomes. But it's not good. The food is bad. The only good part is some of the staff who care.

Desperate to get out
"Failed Promises And Disastrous Conditions At ALF Cause Despair"
When facing a critical decision related to our mom's health and living situation, we were assured numerous promises. Heartbreakingly, none were fulfilled. Beginning with the time our mom got transferred into the assisted living facility (ALF), which was known as Oquirrh Meadows, the management has been changed five times, including the staffing. After two years, her room still isn't cleaned weekly as promised. Laundry has been a nightmare with lost, damaged clothing, towels, and bedding. We've had to take up the responsibility of her laundry ourselves. Adding to our distress, her heater has been broken for over a month - and hasn't been repaired up to the date of January 18th, 2017. She's had bed bugs incidents three times causing us to replace her mattress out of our own pockets. In addition, there have been instances where she's gone a week without showering or changing her clothes. With no management or emergency protocol in place after 5 PM or on weekends, her care is severely lacking. Regrettably, with the new choices waiver, we have limited alternatives and most have a waiting period of one to two years. The reason behind our hesitation in moving her is purely economical - we can't shoulder the entire expense out of pocket. As she is on several waiting lists for facilities that accept the New Choices Waiver (which few do), our hands are tied. In the meantime, we are doing everything in our power to take care of her needs, while awaiting an opportunity to move her out of this disastrous ALF. Her every day in this facility is filled with my regret and guilt. It's a tormenting daily reality, knowing our mother isn't safe and is living in disastrous conditions.

Desperate to get out
"Beware of Failed Promises and Mismanagement at Assisted Living Facility."
Choosing a place for our mom to live was tough. We were promised a lot, but none of these promises were ever kept. The assisted living facility, first called Oqquire Meadows, has changed management five times. Even after two years, they couldn't clean her room each week. Clothes, towels, sheets - all missing or ruined from laundry mishaps. That chore fell on us, her family. My mom's heater was broken for over a month without repair. Bed bugs happened three times. I ended up buying her a new mattress. There were times when she didn't shower or change her clothes for up to a week. After 5 pm and on weekends, it's like they disappear - no structure for dealing with emergencies. The New Choices Waiver restricts our options, and the shortage of spots mean 1-2 years on the waiting list. You might wonder why we don't just move her. Well, because we can't handle all the cost ourselves. So, she's been on the waiting list for multiple facilities that accept the New Choices Waiver. In the meantime, we take care of her as best we can. But honestly, this place is a lousy example of an assisted living facility. Every day, I worry about my mom. She doesn't seem safe. I regret our choice and am burdened by guilt each day.

"Great staff, lacking warmth; informative tour."
Tradition Assisted Living didn't work well. Lacked warmth, hospital-like. Staff great.

"Great care and comfort for loved ones here"
The staff here are really nice and always pay attention to what you need. The rooms are clean and feel welcoming. I’d suggest this place to anyone who needs a good home for a family member who needs help.
