"Caring Staff, Socializing Opportunities"
The staff takes great care of residents. It'd be better with more socializing opportunities. Many residents face memory care challenges. I'd recommend it to loved ones.

"Great care and attention from staff, always there for mom"
has been taking care of my mom for over two years. She’s always been kind and attentive, meeting all her needs. She keeps me updated with her health and sends photos of their fun activities. On sunny days, she takes my mom for walks. Even at night, when everyone else is asleep,is there with my mom. I feel very confident that my mom is in great hands with

"Great Care and Personal Attention at Avalon House"
The caregivers at Avalon House are doing a great job. Every time we visit or call, they keep us informed about our loved one and update us on everything. The caregivers are friendly and provide lots of personal attention. We're really happy with Avalon House and have already told other families about it. We plan to keep recommending them.

"A Tour for Care"
This place took good care of my mom. It’s more like a group home, which wasn’t what we needed right now. The menu was nice and clean. They had activities sometimes, but we wanted daily ones. The community was bigger than we wanted. Families should consider a tour for their loved one’s care.

"Great Care in a Cheerful Setting with Friendly Staff"
I moved Mom into Avalon on November 30, 2013, so we’re still new here. Fairfax County can be expensive, but Avalon seems to offer better care and more services than other places at the same price. The staff here is helpful, caring, and friendly, and they speak perfect English unlike some other places in Fairfax County. I chose Avalon not only for these reasons but also because the home is bright and cheerful. The meals are well-prepared and tasty. While there might not be as much variety as her previous place which was bigger, the food here looks more appealing. They make sure her clothes stay clean while she eats. At her old place, I had to change her clothes before taking her out because of food stains. Now, her clothes and body stay cleaner. She used to fall a few times a week, but she doesn’t seem to have that problem here. Avalon seems more attentive to her needs. Mom is getting more involved in activities and meals. The only downside is that her room is small and doesn’t have a closet, but I cared more about her care than the room size.
