"Close but seeking better options if possible."
If affordable, would relocate due to proximity.

"Great place, but cleanliness and laundry need supervision"
I’d definitely suggest this place to others. I’d let them know that how clean it is depends on the staff, so it’s important to keep checking. The same goes for the laundry.

"Assisted Living Facility Faces Delays in Remodeling Efforts"
I think the director is super nice and caring, but the place doesn't have enough staff. The medical department needs a big improvement. There are lots of problems with the building—leaks, faulty electrical stuff. They're working on remodeling, but it's taking forever.

"Awful Experience at Bentley Commons"
I used to live at Bentley Commons Senior Living Community, and my experience was just okay. Unfortunately, I found the facility to be pretty bad. Most of the older aides would only take me to my room on the third floor. The med tech, never spoke to me, not even on the first day when she gave me my medicine. On the positive side, the administrator is nice and works hard for the residents. The food was good initially, and they did well with showers. However, I wouldn’t return to Bentley Commons.

"Good care but poor communication and price transparency issues"
My loved one is getting good care here. However, they need to work on their communication. My mother has had problems with her front door not being fixed, even though we've reported it many times. Also, when she first moved in, they increased the price but didn't tell us until we were signing the papers. We've been in regular contact with the facility, so there was no excuse for not keeping us informed.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
We didn't really like the place. When you step inside, it's really pretty with a grand entrance. But there were a lot of people in wheelchairs, and the mix of assisted living and independent residents gave it a different vibe—something my mom wasn't looking for.

"Fantastic Tour, But Facility Feels a Bit Outdated"
The lady who showed us around was fantastic. When I first entered, the place felt a bit outdated and had an old resort vibe.

""Disappointing Assisted Living Experience""
We thought our family member would have a great time here. The staff seemed nice during our visit, treating us like kings and queens. But things changed after moving in. The office folks weren't friendly anymore, and we saw people napping in the common areas—it felt more like a nursing home than independent living. The food quality was low. I wouldn't recommend this place.

"Assisted Living Visit: Disappointing Grounds and Unhealthy Food"
We were really bummed out when we visited our friend at Bentley Commons. The place was dirty and not taken care of well. Lots of workers were outside smoking in big groups, which was a bummer. The lobby looked really nice though. We stayed for lunch, but the food wasn't very healthy. Our friend said it's always like that. The apartment was okay, but it looked old-fashioned. The caregivers seemed to have a lot of free time. They were chatting in public areas while patients were crying and screaming for help.

"Great Facility, But Respite Care Availability Needs Improvement"
I was really impressed with Bentley Commons. If my husband and I need a break and require respite care, Bentley Commons would be our top choice. The entrance is so bright and welcoming, and it's easy to see where to check in. The dining room looks fantastic, and there are lots of activities for the residents. Plus, the on-site beauty shop is a great touch for the ladies. The apartment I saw was quite spacious. The only downside is that respite care is available only if there's space. I get why Bentley Commons can’t guarantee a spot, but once a spot is confirmed, it shouldn't be given to someone else. It makes planning for families tough, and sometimes there isn't a backup plan for care. On the flip side, if a family commits, there should be a penalty if they change their plans.

"We Feel Right at Home Here"
We really feel at home here. The staff is friendly and helps us with whatever we need. We feel at peace here. The room is easier to move around in with a wheelchair.

"Adjusting Well To Life In The Community"
So far, my time at the facility has been pretty okay. I'm still adjusting to how everything works and the overall feel of the community. The people here are friendly and do what they can to help out, which means a lot to me. Right now, I'm good with living here.

"Tour Was Good, but Pricey"
The tour at this place was really good. Everybody working there was nice, and I liked seeing the residents doing stuff around the place. But it cost too much for what my mom can afford.

"Great care and clean, friendly community"
This is a great place, and everything is going well. My father is in good hands, and they take good care of him. The community looks nice, and he hasn't had any issues with cleanliness. The staff is great and they care for him very well. Everything has worked out well for us here, and I would recommend it.

"Great Place with Friendly Staff and Tasty Food"
My mother-in-law has been living at Bentley Commons at Lynchburg for about 5 weeks now. She is very happy and enjoys all the friendly residents and staff. Mom likes the food and says the menu is well-balanced with a good variety. Meals are always on time and the dining room is well organized. The servers are great! They have a good system in place for emergencies, with call buttons in the apartments and pendants that residents wear. The only downside is getting the staff to address any issues that come up, but management steps in and resolves things quickly.

"Lovely Property with a Recommendation"
The assisted living facility had one issue: an extra charge for managing medications. However, the laundry service was wonderful—they handle it one resident at a time and do a great job. The food was good, though not wonderful. The location is convenient, but the extra fee was a big deal. Overall, it's a lovely property, and I recommend it.

"Some Room for Improvement"
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the assisted living facility. It sounds like they're doing a decent job overall, but there are a few areas where they could improve. The cleanliness is better than average, but perhaps they could clean her room more frequently. Additionally, the care-checks every 2 hours raise some concerns, especially after the incident with your mother. It might be worth discussing these issues with the director of nursing to ensure better care for your loved one.
