Moving a loved one into assisted living is always tough, but sometimes it's necessary. The staff at Chesapeake Place is great, though communication can be spotty—sometimes messages aren't returned. The move-in process was smooth, and [Name] was very helpful. Some residents say the meals are too salty, which is a concern for those with high blood pressure. "Understaffed and Poor Communication"
My family member used to live at Chesapeake Place Senior Living. They genuinely tried to make the transition smooth, but they faced challenges due to being understaffed and overworked. Communication was the worst I’ve experienced with any business. Despite their awareness of the issues, we couldn’t wait for improvements. After 3 months, we relocated our loved one.

"Unhappy with Rising Costs and Poor Service at Assisted Living Facility"
We're really not satisfied here. They don't have enough staff and it's always difficult to get help when needed. They've now increased my family member's monthly payment, starting from a recent date. They claimed it was a general increase for all their locations and that it was for the “stages” of care, not the rent. I bet they did this to pay for all the burst pipes around Christmas time, causing my family member's room to flood just weeks after their move-in. Furthermore, my relative has had their money swiped from their room a few times. We've reported this, but got no follow-up or solution. We're seriously considering moving my relative to another facility soon.

"Great tour but not the right fit"
"We had a great tour at Chesapeake Place. They really tried to help us with our situation. However, the atmosphere didn't seem like the right fit for my loved one. We thought a homey environment would be better.
