"Steady Satisfaction with Caring Staff"
We're still pleased with our choice. The care is good, and the staff has been here a long time.

"Lacking Communication and Tenured Staff, but Pleasant Smells"
It seems like many caregivers here forget to be friendly to the residents. My loved one often feels ignored. It'd be better if they communicated more with the residents. The memory care team needs experienced staff to take care of the residents. The administration is polite and professional. Overall, the place is tidy. This community smells really good, the best I've ever been in. It's always fresh whenever I'm here.

"Memory Care Only, Outside Agencies for Rehab, Limited Services"
We chose this place 'cause it was open and they said they could take care of my family member's needs. It's for people with memory issues, but they don't do much rehab. They should focus on memory care 'cause they don't have a rehab center. They get help from other companies.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living"
We visited the community, but the room layout and size didn't impress us. The marketing person was friendly and followed up after our tour a few years ago. However, the new one left us unsure.

"Great Assisted Living Choice!"
We picked Commonwealth Senior Living because it’s smaller, friendly, and perfect for my mom. The lady who greets you sets a great tone. Nurses and staff are wonderful. The chef accommodated my mom’s needs. I recommend them.

"A Welcoming Home for Grandma"
When I first visited Churchland House, I knew it was the perfect place for my 92-year-old grandmother. The staff is friendly, the facility is clean and welcoming, and I have peace of mind knowing she’s well cared for here.

"Great Help for Moving Mom to Assisted Living"
I'm an only child, so I really needed all the help I could get. With help from A Place For Mom, I started getting my mom the care she needed and moved her closer to me so I could support her and help her with the move from her home in Richmond. Angelia was super helpful with all the arrangements to make my mom's move comfortable. Now, I visit my mom 3-4 times a week because she's only about 10-15 minutes away. After about 30 days, my mom is starting to understand why she's here. Everyone at Churchland House works really hard and cares for all their guests. Thanks so much for everything you do!

"Nice place, but didn't feel right"
This was our second choice after Georgian Manor. It turns out they are also part of Commonwealth, which we like. The memory care unit is about the same size as Georgian Manor. But it was just the feeling you got when you walked in. There wasn't a smell. It wasn't that I didn't like the layout of their memory care, it was just the feeling walking in.

"Nice place, but too far away"
This place felt more like a nursing home, but it wasn't as strict. My brother lives nearby, so we thought it would be convenient, but it turned out to be a bit too far.
