"Friendly but unreliable staff."
My family member lived at Commonwealth Senior Living at Hampton. I can't suggest it. They're nice but don't deliver promises.

"Warm and Caring Assisted Living with Personal Touch"
I really like that this place is smaller. It feels more personal. I appreciate that when I contact the Director or the nurses, they usually respond. I absolutely love Iman, the Concierge. Almost everyone here is friendly, caring, and quick to help. I enjoy how the aides interact with the residents; you can tell they really care and love what they do.

""Unimpressive Tour of Commonwealth Senior Living.""
We visited Commonwealth Senior Living at Hampton while we were looking for an Assisted Living place for our family member. Our tour there was pretty bad. It was just okay in terms of atmosphere, cleanliness, and the guide who showed us around.

"A Caring Place with Tasty Meals"
The staff is nice and dedicated, but sometimes they're understaffed. The meals are tasty, too. I'd suggest this place to loved ones.

"Improved Living Experience at Commonwealth Hampton"
My mom likes Commonwealth Hampton much more than her old place. It's bright inside, and I feel good knowing there are cameras in the halls. There are enough staff to help all the residents. The workers really seem to care about the people here and like what they do. They have lots of activities to do, and they're all different. The boss is easy to talk to and honest. They don't hide anything, and you know exactly what you're getting.

"Highly Recommended Assisted Living with Exceptional Staff and Comfortable Atmosphere"
This facility was the only one I visited more than once. It wasn't the cheapest, but I felt best with my loved one staying here. The staff was great, although we had an issue with one person. The assistant director quickly solved the problem when we told them about it. That made me feel much better. Whether it was the assistant director, finance person, maintenance crew, kitchen staff, everyone was so nice and ready to help. I think Commonwealth Senior Living at Hampton is great and have already told others about it.

"Welcoming Assisted Living; Friendly Staff and Good Communication"
My loved one stayed at Commonwealth Senior Living at Hampton for about 8 or 9 days. It was a nice time. I could visit whenever I wanted, so I saw her every day until she passed away. The people who worked there were very friendly. I talked to them more easily than I did at her old place. I visited every day and found out what was happening. There weren't many issues because they listened and kept me informed.

"Mixed Impressions: Great Activities, Nursing Needs Improvement"
We really liked this place when we visited for a tour. The activities they have are really good. But we noticed they don't have enough staff, so the nursing care isn't as good as we hoped. Maybe there's a reason for this, but the food in the memory care part isn't as good as what they serve in the assisted living part.

"A Mixed Experience at Assisted Living"
I think if someone needs basic assisted living, it's okay here. But if they have more serious needs, there isn't enough care. It's not their fault; they're just not set up for it. We can't visit our loved one, which is tough. The common areas are clean, but the rooms could be better. Some staff are great, but others aren't. Our loved one likes most of the people who help her, but a few are too rough. She's been to the hospital a couple of times, which worries us. There's a new director who seems caring and friendly, so things might improve. The cost is high, but it's a nice place with activities and a garden.

"Expensive and Poor Care at Commonwealth Senior Living"
I'd like everyone to know that if your family member has dementia and needs help with things like bathing, changing clothes or just everyday guidance, you're in big trouble. My loved one was here for a month and it did terrible damage to him. They made me pay almost $20,000 and I haven't seen any of it back. His care was so poor that he ended up in the hospital. They didn't even give him his medications. There wasn't any assistance from the staff at Commonwealth Senior Living whatsoever.

"Quiet, Clean, and Helpful Staff, but Limited Activities for Residents"
The place is pretty good so far. The workers are really nice and the place is super clean and quiet. But I thought there would be more fun stuff for the residents to do. It’s only been a week though, so maybe things will get better.

"Facility's Care Lacking: Deceptive Appearances Uncovered"
Pay close attention! The staff here might not be vigilant about taking care of your family. They may seem attentive when you're around, but you must ensure your loved ones are getting the proper care they deserve on a daily basis. I noticed food leftover behind my family member's bed, plus they administer sedatives throughout the day causing them to sleep excessively. This can lead to pressure sores. I wouldn't recommend this facility for anyone's family members.

"Friendly and Welcoming Staff!"
I had a great tour at this community. The staff welcomed us warmly, and the facility was well-maintained with fantastic amenities. Unfortunately, it didn't fit our budget for my mother.

"Segregated Living with Limited Activities, Noise, and Odors"
The place divides men and women. There's a locked unit on the first floor with a courtyard outside. The unit is tiny, but there are lots of things to do. It's pretty noisy because of the patients. You might notice a slight smell when you walk through the bedroom halls.

"Mixed Feelings About Commonwealth Assisted Living at Hampton"
I kinda like Commonwealth Assisted Living at Hampton. It's pretty nice, cozy, and tidy. The food isn't always served piping hot. Rooms are mostly well-maintained. Sometimes, they're slow to respond to the buzzer. Staff is mostly good, but some could improve.

"Assisted Living Near VA Hospital Offers Clean Rooms and Assistance"
The rooms looked clean and tidy, and the people living there seemed happy. This place is closest to the VA Hospital, and the staff and managers were eager to help me out. It costs around $3510 per month, plus extra for laundry and cleaning. They don't focus much on outings, but they do offer rides to medical appointments.

"Negligent Staff and Poor Maintenance Ruin Resident Experience"
The entrance at the nursing home was clean, but Dad's room was a mess. There was trash and insulin needles laying under his bed and tucked in the corners. I even gathered some and questioned the nurse about them, but all I got was a casual apology. Dad was an amputee, so using the bathroom was tough. On top of this, the toilet in his bathroom was broken. Despite reaching out to management and the corporate office multiple times, the problem persisted. There may have been one or two nurses that seemed to care, but most had a dismissive attitude, reminding us they had “other patients.” Yes, I understand that, as I work in medical care. But it's crucial that all patients receive dedicated care, especially in a place like this. If the workers lack compassion, they should consider another field of work. Unfortunately, Dad's health and spirit declined once he moved in here.
