"Unpleasant Experience with Disrespectful Staff at Dominion Village"
I just want to make clear that I wouldn't suggest Dominion Village at Chesapeake to anybody else. Our time there was just plain bad. The people working there didn't put in the effort to help the residents and were pretty rude too.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The facility is nice and clean, and the staff is very friendly. However, the alarms going off and residents being able to push through exit doors are negatives for us.

"Helpful Staff Provided Comfort and Clarity for My Mom's Needs"
Even though my mom won't be moving to Dominion Village, meeting with her gave me a lot of comfort and clarity. She listened carefully and helped me figure out what would be best for my mom. I’m really grateful.

"Assisted Living Facility: Medication Errors and Falls"
My mom fell twice in three days. She was too sleepy and not watched carefully. After two days in the hospital, she was still sleepy and fell again on day eight. They sent her home on day ten. Her regular doctor found out she was getting too much of two medications and one was being given twice a day instead of as needed. The people were nice, though.

"Small community with flexible dining options"
This place is small. They have a memory care area and an assisted living area. The building is old, so the assisted living rooms have half-baths and are one big space. There’s a shared step-in tub in the main hallway. I really like their dining setup where meals are served over a time period, so you don't have to eat at the same time as everyone else. There are many daily menu options, plus other choices if you don’t like the main ones. They also have a hydration station with snacks.

"Nice Community but Pricey and Far from Home"
I was pleasantly surprised by this community. It's small and inviting, which I liked. However, it's more expensive than what we can afford, and it's a bit far from Kempsville, where we currently live. Despite that, I think Mom would enjoy living here. Amenities are additional costs here compared to other places we looked at. Overall, I liked it.

"Mixed Feelings on Dominion Village's Comfort and Dining Experience"
Dominion Village is a nice place. The food is excellent, and the dining area feels like a fancy restaurant. They offer a variety of food options and snacks all day. The main problem is with the AC. It doesn't circulate well due to how it was installed. This leads to rooms being either too hot or too cold since there's only one thermostat for the whole facility.
