"Great Memory Care Facility"
The new community opening in February 2023 offers affordable Memory Care with upgrades like roll-in showers. The staff has been wonderful to my mother, and I appreciate their support. I recommend it to family and friends.

"Beautiful facility, great for active residents but staff interaction lacking"
Fox Trail at Manassas is a truly beautiful place. It’s somewhere I’d consider moving to in the next five years. It’s best suited for more active and independent people, although they do offer care. There were fewer people in wheelchairs compared to other places I visited. The only downside was that I didn’t see many staff interacting with the residents, but it might have just been the time I was there.

"“Chaotic Assisted Living Facility”"
Don’t bring your loved one here. The staff is mean, and the place is messy. Nobody’s in charge.

"Mixed Experience at Fox Trail: Hoping for Improvements"
We've been let down by a few things during our time at Fox Trail. We heard it got taken over by English Meadows this month, so we're hoping for improvements, especially in cleanliness. They used to neglect cleaning our loved one's room, but now they're doing it daily. The facility needs some care, and we're eager to see changes soon.

"Great care and value at Fox Trail, with some room for improvement"
I highly recommend Fox Trail. It’s an older place, probably built in the '80s, so don’t expect the newest features. But what really matters is how well the staff takes care of the residents, and I believe they do a great job. When my loved one moved in, his room was spotless. However, after a while, there was a drop in staff, and the cleanliness wasn’t as good. The common areas were always clean, but I wish his bathroom was kept up better. The people working there were very friendly and attentive. Most of the staff was excellent. My loved one even gave corsages to everyone as a thank you before we left, which showed how much he appreciated them. He enjoyed the food, especially the breakfasts and comfort foods like beef stew and chicken and dumplings. Some meals he liked more than others, but that’s normal. They had been without an activities manager for a while, but they just hired a new one before we left. I was really impressed with her. She had a lot of ideas and was great with the residents. She was very friendly and worked hard, even doing tasks like cleaning the floors herself. She was so good that one staff member said she’d work seven days a week for her because she’s been there for a long time and is very happy. I thought Fox Trail was a good value. The cost was much lower compared to other places, and I felt it was reasonable for the care they provided. When we left, I told the director we’d be back in about six months. I expect my loved one’s health to decline again, and I’d definitely bring him back to Fox Trail.

"Unsafe Assisted Living: No Security, Unattended Entrance, Stranger Access"
Don't pick this place for your family member needing help. The building isn't safe. Anyone can just walk in from outside and wander around. No one's at the front desk to say hi to visitors. They only have a paper where you write your name, so strangers can see who lives here.

"**"No Memory Care Here"**"
Assisted living facilities play an essential role in providing care and support for seniors. When evaluating these facilities, it's crucial to consider various factors, including quality ratings. Let me share some insights about assisted living ratings: 1. Overall Star Ratings: - Assisted living facilities receive ratings, typically ranging from 1 to 5 stars. These ratings help families and caregivers compare different facilities. - The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) provides a general 5-star rating, along with individual source ratings based on three key areas¹: - Health Inspections: These ratings reflect data from the past three years of on-site inspections. Inspectors assess compliance with standards and address complaints. - Staffing: This rating considers the number of staff members caring for residents. Facilities with residents requiring more intensive care should have adequate staffing. - Quality Measures: Assesses physical and clinical aspects of care, such as pressure sore management and mobility changes. 2. State Audits and Regulations: - Unlike nursing homes, assisted living facilities are regulated at the state level. State government agencies oversee licensing, audits, and compliance. - Factors influencing satisfaction include quality of life, legal actions, citations, profit status, licensure, and resident feedback. Remember that choosing the right assisted living facility involves more than just star ratings. Visiting facilities, understanding their services, and considering your loved one's needs are essential steps in making an informed decision¹. "Inactive Residents in Unwelcoming Setting"
Only 25 residents, smells like a 1990 nursing home with tiny apartments. No activity director. Met inactive residents in wheelchairs, looking lost. Not ideal for social interaction.

"Friendly staff, but small and outdated rooms"
The Amerisist was a really small community, and my grandmother was used to a bigger home. The rooms were pretty small and needed some updating. The staff was very friendly, though. They greeted us with a packet of information and seemed ready for us. All the staff knew the residents by name and interacted with them very well.

"A Cozy, Budget-Friendly Garden Community"
My mom is doing well here. The location is super convenient—it's only five minutes from our house. The staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive. They've been great about giving my mom extra attention. It's a smaller community, but it feels like family. And the rates fit our budget. Overall, it's a nice garden-style place.

"Great experiences visiting and volunteering at Amerisist of Manassas"
I've been visiting Amerisist of Manassas for the past 10 years and love the staff. They're always helpful and really know how to take care of the residents. The residents seem happy and healthy. The food looks homemade, and the residents eat well. I've had lunch there many times and always had a great experience. Reading some negative reviews is sad because my experiences have been wonderful, both visiting and volunteering with the residents here.

"Small facility with great care, but odd food menus"
They have done a lot right. They are very attentive because it's a small facility. Their routine has really helped my loved one, and the care she gets is great. They could improve the food; the menus are strange and I'm not sure they're healthy. The building is a bit old, but they are fixing it up.

"Small Assisted Living Facility Not Ideal for Mom"
I went to the assisted living facility at 5 pm on Saturday, October 3, 2015. It's a very small place, just one level with around 25 rooms. It's quiet, clean, and neat. However, it's too small for my mom.

"Avoidable Negligence At Assisted Living Centers: A Personal Ordeal"
My husband was a resident of this institution and also their branch in Warrenton. This organization has shown no intention of improving their facilities. During the summer in Warrenton, my husband apparently spent the entire season without air conditioning. His room was constantly stuck around a stifling 85 degrees. Their promise to repair it never materialized. They didn't even supply fans. Errors were repeatedly made concerning his medication. Those medications they claimed to have administered couldn't even be located when we wanted to take him home for the weekend. Moved him to Manassas hoping it would be nicer, but it was awful The smell was unpleasant. Management wouldn't replace the carpet for over two weeks, and when they did, they only replaced it in the bedroom area, ignoring the space outside his door. Notified them I was transferring him with a 35-day notice, but now they claim I only gave them a 15-day notice. They're trying to make me pay for the extra days and insisting that the Manassas room was pricier than the previous one. They had assured me it was an equal transfer. They've ignored my calls. This has been a terrible ordeal with them. I believe they broke the agreement by not offering a secure, sanitary setting and suitable medical maintenance. It's hard to know where to go for help with places like these. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

"Caring Staff and Cozy Atmosphere"
At Amerisist of Manassas, they need to improve cleaning Mom's room. Last time, I had to clean her bathroom. The staff takes great care of Mom, though. They're always attentive and provide updates. It's a small place, so Mom doesn't get lost. Overall, I'm happy here.
