"Assisted Living Facility Review"
The Bridges program at this place seems to lack enough staff and activities compared to what you'd expect for a program that's supposed to offer more support than the regular program. Staff don't regularly communicate with families, so it's hard for families to know what the staff are worried about or for the staff to understand family worries about Bridges participants.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Expectations"
My family member's stay at the assisted living place wasn't great. The food took forever to arrive, and when it finally did, it was just okay. They had a few things to do, but there weren't enough staff to help out. And worst of all, my loved one didn't get their medicine on time, even though we paid extra for help managing it.

"Nice Place, But Too Large and Pricey"
We visited HarborChase of Prince Williams Commons, and it’s a really great spot. The folks there are super nice, the meals seem tasty, and there’s a bunch of fun stuff to do. It’s a pretty place for sure, but just a little too huge for what we like. When a place is that big, it’s kinda hard for everyone to get to know each other. We ended up picking a different spot because HarborChase felt too massive and it was more than we wanted to spend.

"Hotel-Like Assisted Living for Independent Residents"
Our family visited in person, and it felt like a hotel. Considering our loved one's memory loss, it might be better suited for independent and assisted living residents.

"Helpful staff but small rooms and slow cleaning"
We chose HarborChase of Prince William because the person I talked to was excellent and very helpful. From what I know, the room sizes are a bit small. The food could be better, and they should be quicker about cleaning rooms, like changing sheets. But overall, I would recommend it.

"Positive Experience Despite Initial Hurdles"
It's a bit tricky to say much since we haven't been allowed inside yet since we moved in. We've had some not-so-great times at other places, but not here. This is one of the few places that promise a diet that's low in carbs and actually deliver on it. They write it down in the care plan and everything. The food looks pretty good, and our loved one always finishes his plate. Every floor has its own dining room, and then there's a special dining room on the main floor. Everything our loved one needs is right there on his floor. They're still doing a few activities even with Covid, and they're just starting things back up again. Every Friday afternoon they have live music. The rooms are a bit small. We can fit a recliner and a bookshelf and that's all. But there's a little balcony off the room. Overall the value is really good because of the extra care he's getting. They take him to his doctor's appointments, and then you meet him there. They've had him there on time every single time. They even took him up and got him checked in when I was a couple of minutes late one time. The director has been really good at talking with us and making sure to follow through, taking action when it's needed. She gave me her cell phone number and has been so reassuring after the experience we had before. She really fought to make sure our loved one gets great care. All the staff have been really nice so far, and I'm looking forward to meeting them face to face.

"Mixed Staff Experience"
Before the pandemic, I found the professional staff to be good. However, the direct support staff lacked friendliness and seemed indifferent. They could improve their engagement with residents.

"Active Community with Communication Challenges"
Sometimes, there's a language barrier between families and staff. But the community offers plenty of activities for residents. During COVID, they kept us informed with regular updates—now once a week. I do wish there were more sidewalks for exercise, though they have lovely courtyards for residents to enjoy.
