"Helpful staff, but more updates would be appreciated"
The staff has been really helpful and easy to work with before and after moving in. I understand everyone is busy, but I sometimes wish I could get more updates and confirmation on the requests I make.

"Good care, lacking communication updates on Alzheimer's patients. Safe community option."
Heritage Green and Daybreak community has been mostly good, but they need better communication about patrons' updates with families. Our mother has Alzheimer's, and we'd like regular updates on her condition. Heritage Green is a decent option if you need a safe place for your loved one when home isn't feasible.

"Great Staff and Health Management"
Certainly! Here's a revised version of the review in simpler language: "The food isn't great, and sometimes dinner is just a cold sandwich. I've asked to talk about the menu with FSD. The service during meals isn't what I expected for the price—I thought we'd have servers in uniform and meals served on real plates, not paper ones. No fancy tablecloths or napkins either. The staff, [name removed] and [name removed], are excellent. They take great care of my mom, keep me informed, and listen when she needs something. [name removed] is friendly and addresses any concerns I have. Dr. [name removed], the physician, does a great job managing my mom's health. Overall, I'm very pleased with the assisted living facility. Mom doesn't need memory care.

"Assisted Living Concerns: Heritage Green Review"
We didn't like Heritage Green for a couple of reasons. It wasn't as clean as other places, and we saw a wheelchair left outside in the rain. They said we could take pictures of the residents without their permission, which felt rude. Also, there was leftover food on a table in the dining room after lunch, and when we asked about it, they just said the person probably had an appointment and would eat it later.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Community"
I don't think I'd suggest this place to others for their family members. The activities, food, and staffing could be better. The family had to take the initiative for staff communication, and it would've been nice if the staff did more.

The person selling stuff was cool! But, there was a stinky smell and it cost too much.

"Heritage Green is good; staff pleasant, but social options limited."
My dad is forgetful but can still talk and recognize us. We haven't found a perfect place for him, but we're happy with Heritage Green. He's in memory care because he can't move, see, or hear well. The place seems short on staff, so we hired a sitter for five days a week, which has helped a lot. He enjoys talking and being social, but the facility doesn't have many other social residents. The staff are nice and seem to like him. His roommate doesn't talk. The rooms and public areas are clean, and security is good.

This place is beautiful and well-kept. The Memory Care options are great. The staff is friendly, and the surroundings are cheerful. It's a bit expensive, but it's a good place for my mom.

"Top-Notch Memory Care with Personalized Attention"
My close friend and neighbor recently retired because of early memory loss. We looked for a place that would honor his individuality, and Heritage Green Daybreak was perfect. The staff got to know him personally within just a few days, and whenever we visited, they always greeted us and let us know where he was. The clinical care director, he made a special effort to understand his unique behaviors. Within just a few weeks, they helped him fit in smoothly with everyone else. Overall, they provided great and caring service.

"Heritage Green's respite care lacking, overcrowded rooms."
I wouldn't choose Heritage Green for my mom's short-term stay. The rooms there are kind of cramped and only have twin beds. You might get lucky and not have a roommate, but this isn't promised to last for the whole stay. They didn't even mention the chance to pay more for a private room. Another thing, their temporary care can be hit or miss. They promised to keep talking to me, but they also told me to have a plan B, just in case things don't work out last minute.

"Care with love and dignity"
My mom is in Daybreak memory care with advanced dementia, and she's the happiest and healthiest she's been in years. The staff not only takes care of her physical needs but also makes sure she keeps her dignity and personality. They do this with total dedication and focus. While others might talk about the fun activities and clean place, my joy is seeing my mom cared for with love and attention, making her personality shine again. My dad loves seeing her healthy, with a nice hairdo, and having fun in her own way. She is safe, and we can stay calm and be the family she needs.

"Mixed Feelings About this Assisted Living Facility"
When we checked out this place, it seemed pretty nice. But the memory care unit was stricter. It costs a bit more than we planned, plus extra charges for different services. The first chat with the salesperson was friendly, but they got a bit pushy. And they seemed too aggressive after we left. Not the place for us.

My grandma is doing great here. I like knowing the staff is very caring to her needs. The meals are healthy with a good variety to choose from. The place is very clean, and we like that the staff tries to get her to join activities. We would recommend this place for good care and good value.

"Best decision for Mom's care and happiness"
Placing my mom in memory care was one of the hardest decisions my brother and I ever had to make. She seemed okay in some ways, but in others, her safety was at risk. She always loved the community events at Heritage Green, so we started there. I was lucky to know the admissions person personally. When she assured me it was a great place and everything they do is out of love, it helped a lot, but I still worried. After six months, I can say I don't worry anymore. Everything really is based on love. The facility is clean, beautifully redecorated, well-lit, and well-staffed. The meals are amazing. The staff, from receptionists to nurses to caregivers, are wonderful. They work hard to have fun and meaningful activities for the residents, including community outings. For a while, my mom thought she was on vacation and enjoyed every moment, which was huge because she used to plan vacations for others! Now she knows this is her home and loves the staff. After two hospital stays, she was so happy to be "home." I never worry about her care. The staff communicates well with our family about how Mom is doing. As her health has worsened, hospice is now involved. Hospice is great, but the Clinical Care Director at Daybreak has been the most helpful. She knows our mom well and makes sure she gets the services she needs. Dementia is a terrible disease, but Heritage Green gives our loved ones the best care possible. I wish we had placed Mom (and my Dad before he passed) there sooner.

"Feels like home for memory care"
After trying several places, my mom is doing great at Heritage Green. The staff are awesome. They pay attention to her needs, involve her in fun activities, and make sure she's happy and well cared for. Heritage Green has taken away our family's worry and stress. They make memory care feel like home.

"Great care and activities, minor staffing issues but overall satisfied"
After months of searching for memory care for my mother, I decided on Heritage Green/Daybreak. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and there are always nice activities happening. For the cost, Heritage Green seems to provide the best care and environment. The dining room is always spotless, and the staff is positive. They engage with the residents through current events, memory games, and musical performances. The only reason I gave 4 stars for care services is due to staffing problems, which I think is common in many places right now. However, management is clearly working to improve this. My mom is very happy in her new home.

"Heritage Green Disappointment: Poor Care, Zero Activities, Difficult Staff "
My mom or dad was staying at Heritage Green for a bit, but pretty quick we figured out it was nothing like what we thought. The amount of people who quit working there is just plain crazy, from the bosses to everyone else. The folks who are meant to look after the residents are super patchy and seem to care more about their phones than the people living there. Activities? They're pretty much non-existent!! We hung in there longer than we should, hoping things would improve. They didn't - they only got worse. The head nurse in the assisted living part was a nightmare to talk to. The Head Administrator usually stays in her office, unless she's posing for a picture. What we saw was a total set-up and nothing like what we'd been promised. They'll tell you half the story, just to get you through the door. I was super annoyed when I was worried about the care my parent was getting and it fell on deaf ears with the head nurse. She was mean to me several times and never once returned my phone calls. So, we tried talking to the Administrator, who likes to call herself the "Executive Director", and it was like trying to meet the Queen, nearly impossible! In the end, we moved my parent out and found them a new home. They're a lot happier now, and so are we, and that's been a while ago. I still talk to other families who have folks there, and they're going through the same thing. Ever since we left Heritage Green, I know I sleep better, and so does my parent.

"Assisted Living Facility's Alert System Leaves Much to Be Desired"
My mom's got a high chance of falling. The emergency system in her room only has one pull cord in the living area and another in the bathroom. Before she moved in, they told us we could set up the room however we liked and they'd make sure the alert button would be reachable. Their solution was to tie a piece of yarn to the bell. It's often moved from the bed to the chair, sometimes not. So, it's not always in reach for her. My mom tells me she feels they don't really want to help when she rings the bell. I think that's just her sometimes, though.

"Great communication and good meals"
I live far away, but I gave them 5 stars mainly because of the great communication. The staff has been awesome at keeping in touch. I'm really happy with the place and would recommend it. My sister says the meals are good and have variety. My brother-in-law likes getting three meals a day.

"Welcoming Community, My Mom is Happy Here"
It was a bit rough at first for my mom when she moved here, but things have gotten better. She likes it now. The meals are good, and she's happy with the food. They keep her busy, and she can do her therapy here. The community looks nice, especially after the recent renovations. Everyone is very welcoming and kind. I would recommend this place; my mom is well cared for here.

"Great Find!"
I'm really glad A Place for Mom guided me to this place. My mom's been at Heritage Green for nearly two months, and I haven't had any issues yet. The people who work here are super nice and always ready to lend a hand. They plan fun stuff for the residents every day and even take them out sometimes, which is awesome! I feel much better knowing my mom's in a safe spot and being looked after.

"A Mixed Experience at Assisted Living"
It's okay. My only issue is that they don't communicate well after hospital visits. The grounds and interior are fine, but the dining area gets dirty sometimes. I liked that it's a small place, and the energetic activities director, Coco, made it enjoyable.

"A Caring Community for Mom and Our Family"
The staff here is amazing. They answer all our questions, calm our fears, and keep us involved in my mom’s daily life. They always update us about her moods, medications, and meals. Mom has found a community here that makes her happy, cheers her up, and keeps her safe. She looks happier than she has in years. My dad feels more at peace because he knows Mom is well cared for, and his life is better now that he can love her without hurting his own health. Day Break is now a special and valued part of our family.

"Kind and Caring Community"
We moved my mom to Heritage Green because she was staying in her room a lot, not eating well, and feeling bad at a bigger place. We thought a smaller place would make her feel better, and it worked! With more personal attention, she's now joining activities, eating better, and feeling great. We're really happy with her progress, thanks to the kind and caring staff at Heritage Green.

"Top-notch care for memory needs"
My mom is in the memory care center. They're giving a service we can't find anywhere else, so I think it's worth it. The physical therapist came in and they're going to try to help her move more. I don't know if it'll work, but at least they're trying. From what I've seen, it's the best it can be. She's getting the best care for her condition.
