"Richfield Assisted Living Fails Families"
My mom couldn't get phone calls because they wanted a secret code to check her calls. The boss didn't fix it right, even after trying a lot. This went on for 4 months. Families shouldn't feel this hurt and frustration in a place that's supposed to be trustworthy. Shame on you, Richfield! My mom passed away, and she missed calls she didn't even know about when she was thinking clearly.

"Great care for my mom"
My mom gets great care here and she's really happy. She just moved in and loves the different meals. The staff is super nice and helps her a lot. We would tell other families to choose this place. It's a great value for the care.

"Beauty fades under constant staff changes and poor care"
Warning! The staff in charge of nursing care at this facility has changed too many times to know what to expect. They claim to be there for the residents, but their actions tell a different story. Imagine, they even had an alcohol-driven board of directors meeting right there on the premises! My mother was terribly neglected here. She even found a discarded needle in her room. The happiness of the staff was low, which turned this place into a generally gloomy environment.

"Beautiful facility with caring staff and familiar faces."
My mom lived at Knollwood Independent Living Apartments on the Richfield campus for almost 10 years. She was happy there, enjoying time with other residents. The staff is friendly and truly cares about everyone. Now at 91, she needs more personal care, and we were relieved when she suggested moving to The Oaks, their assisted living facility. Many residents from Independent Living have also moved there, so she sees familiar faces. The facility and campus are beautiful, and the food is good. The housekeepers, kitchen staff, maintenance, medical, and administrative staff are all so kind and patient with the residents. Many staff members have been there for years. There are so many activities for the residents. I encourage anyone considering a facility like this to visit and talk with the residents. They gather in the "chat room," a large parlor, mid-morning and afternoon each day for fellowship, or on the front porch when the weather is nice, so it’s easy to connect with them.

"Happy Residents and Caring Staff Make This Place Great"
My mom lived at Knollwood Independent Living Apartments on the Richfield campus for almost 10 years. She enjoyed socializing with other residents there. The staff is friendly and truly cares about everyone. Now that she’s 91 and needs more help, we were glad when she wanted to move to The Oaks, their assisted living facility. Many of the friends she knew from Independent Living are there too, so she sees familiar faces. The place is beautiful, and the food is good. The housekeepers, kitchen, maintenance, medical, and admin staff are all very kind and patient. Lots of staff have worked there for years. There are plenty of activities for the residents. If you’re thinking about this kind of facility, I recommend you visit and talk to the residents. They often gather in the “chat room,” a big parlor, or on the front porch if the weather is nice, so it’s easy to meet them.

"Skeptical Mom Turns Enthusiastic About Knollwood"
I had been talking with my mom about moving to an independent retirement community for three years. I didn’t like seeing her stuck at home alone all the time while I worked full time. Finally, we decided to check out some places, and we found Richfield. Mom was really doubtful and thought it might be like a nursing home. But as soon as we walked into the Knollwood Apartment building, I knew it was the right place for her. Everything, from the clean and nice apartment to the friendly staff and residents, was better than we expected. The people at Knollwood were fantastic! They chatted with mom and told her about their experiences living there. When we got back to the car after the tour, mom asked me how soon she could move in!

"Good Tour, but Too Far for Us"
We visited the Joseph C. Thomas Center today, . It is the memory care facility linked with Richfield Living. Our tour guide, he, did a good job showing us around and giving us information. However, the facility is very large and too far from our home, so I don't think it will be on our final list of choices.

"Toured Memory Care Center, Too Big and Far Away"
We checked out the Joseph C. Thomas Center today. It's a place for people with memory problems and is part of Richfield Living. Our guide, showed us around pretty well and shared a lot of details. But, because the place is so big and it's too far from our house, I doubt we'll pick this one at the end.
