"Assisted Living Facility Disappoints with Slow Service and Mismanagement"

This place is bad. The people who work there take forever to do paperwork and don't know what they're doing. My mom's info wasn't even in the computer after two weeks. The physical therapist called two days after she passed away to schedule therapy. They didn't listen to my mom's wishes about not wanting certain medical treatments. Now we owe a lot of money to the hospital. We already paid a ton of money when my mom first got there, and she only stayed for five days before she died. They promised to give us some of our money back, but it's been three months and we still haven't seen it. The regular staff is okay, though.

"Family-Owned Assisted Living Raises Concerns"

We liked that this place was run by a family, but we were unsure about the quality of care because of that. It made us hesitant to choose this community.

"Notable Decorations in Assisted Living Community"

This place had a lot of older folks who needed extra care, and the decorations on the walls were really nice.

"Unsatisfactory Experiences at RWV Hollymeade Assisted Living Facility"

I shifted my folks to RWV Hollymeade on, but the level of care they received wasn't up to what we had signed for in the contract, which was the highest level (Level 3 AL) during their stay. From what I encountered, the staff weren't even familiar with these care levels and instead relied on care plans which were hardly updated even when my parents' health condition changed. The meals they served here were poor in quality and I deemed them unfit for senior citizens due to their high calorie and salt content. My repeated attempts to change their diet due to my mother's gallbladder condition and father's stent were unsuccessful. The management team here was beyond disappointing. They were constantly negligent about my parents' needs, even failing to provide my mother with the correct dosage of medication for her health issues. The terrible experience culminated when I had a altercation with the executive director who accused me of potentially inflicting harm on her. This facility promises high quality care for your parents but fails to deliver on these promises. We had initially signed up anticipating regular visits by the onsite doctor but this turned out to be another disappointing service. Even the dental care here was extremely lackluster that I had to arrange an external appointment for my parents. This facility severely lacked in manpower, making it impossible to extend proper care to all residents. There were times when my parents were neglected despite urgent needs, such as transferring my physically impaired mother from her wheelchair. The decline in my mother and father's health during their stay here proved that this facility was ill-equipped to offers its residents the care they deserved. Even their reaction to my parents' declining health was far from being considerate or professional. On another note, their COVID-19 response was poorly executed, restricting visitation rights that further contributed to the downward spiral in my parents' well-being. In hindsight, I deeply regret entrusting my parents' well-being to the staff at RWV. Their experience is a cautionary tale against assisted living facilities that prioritize greed over their residents' welfare. I stand firm in my view that these facilities need more stringent regulation in place to ensure that the elderly receive proper care.

"Poor Care and Delayed Responses at Rosewood Village"

I advise against entrusting your loved ones to Rosewood Village at Hollymead. My dad had a serious fall in their showers that led to breaking both his hips. Yes, accidents can occur, but knowing he was shouting for help for over 45 minutes while stark naked and stuck in an awkward position makes it harder to accept. Even when staff eventually responded, they couldn't assist him themselves and had to call the emergency services. Then Rosewood communicated to me that he'd fallen and was mildly hurt, only being taken to the ER for safety purposes. Sadly, he had two broken hips and even died momentarily during the surgery due to the trauma. The incident took place in broad daylight in February, but Rosewood village didn't hand over a copy of the accident report until May. They defended the delay saying my dad had signed a night waiver, so they didn't routine check on him, which is puzzling, because it was daytime. When I visited the facility to collect some personal items, I found prescription bottles with fluid tablets openly displayed, plus random pills scattered around. Odd, as my dad had no access to his meds - that's a service we paid Rosewood for. When I questioned them about this, they didn't reply. It raises questions about why Rosewood delayed untilto share the accident report for an incident that happened on , for which I'd requested multiple times just days after the incident, and repeatedly over the following months. Despite extensive interactions with Rosewood and even pleading for some rent reduction as I had to finance two care facilities, they only mentioned the night waiver as their safety line and stated their policy to drop charges for laundry and medications after a few weeks - which also took months. With no resolution, I had to find a new home for my dad and alert the public about the troubles we faced.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Community"

The people who gave us a tour were nice and helpful. They showed us around and answered our questions. But, when we looked at the memory care part, it seemed not very lively. It was kind of dull, and I didn't think my mother-in-law would have enough to do there. We were also worried about whether she could bring in her own caregiver. In the end, we decided that it would be better for my mother-in-law to live in Arizona near us.

"Clean facility with good care and no bad smells"

My husband is on the dementia floor now. Overall, it's a good place. The assisted living is very good. The dementia unit is good too, and the care seems fine. It's clean, and there’s no urine smell anywhere. Compared to other places I've seen, this one is much better.
