"Great Staff, Care Management Needs Work"
The medical team here is really great. They do more than they have to every day. The nurses work hard to make sure my dad was comfortable in his final days. The people at the front desk are super friendly, they know everything, and they make you feel welcome. The cook makes sure there are yummy, healthy food options for everyone. The folks who clean do an awesome job keeping the rooms and building spotless. The people who take care of the gardens do a great job too. It's really nice to have pretty outdoor spaces to look at and enjoy. But, the care managers could be better. Some are really good, but often they don't come when you call them. Sometimes, they only show up if you get the supervisor. If I wasn't there, nobody would come to help my dad. He even stopped using his call button because no one would respond. The care managers need to step up their game. They need better supervision. The ones who work hard should get more recognition, and those who don't do their job should not be allowed to slack off.

"Caring Staff, Good Care, Food Could Improve"
Things are going pretty good so far. We haven’t had any trouble with the care given. The people working here and the other residents are super friendly and nice. My family member is getting used to it really well. The food’s just alright, and I think they could make it a bit better. But the nurses are awesome. They tell me when we’re running out of medicine and need more. They also keep me updated on how my family member is doing. I’m really happy with that part.

"Assisted Living Review: Sunrise of McLean"
Sunrise of McLean was larger than expected. A few issues arose: 1) Despite claims of engagement, residents seemed disinterested. 2) Concerning staff-resident ratio of 6-8 to 1.

"Comfortable assisted living with amenities and friendly staff"
This community is pleasant with a library on-site. They offer medical help, provide menu options, and I spoke with various staff members to understand the community better. I would suggest this place to others.

"Caring staff, lacks manners and respect; too loud."
Staff caring but loud, lacks respect, manners like please/thank you.

"Hardworking but Noisy Staff Lacks Courtesy"
The people working here sure do care and they're always ready to step in with help. But they're just too noisy and they don't really treat the folks living here with enough respect. They hardly say things like 'please', 'thank you', or 'I'm sorry'.

"Happy and Comfortable Community for My Husband"
My husband is really happy in this community. He adjusted well, and I’m satisfied too. The transition was tough, but everything is great now. The staff is lovely and has been wonderful to work with. The community is very well-kept, and everything is always neat and tidy. He has a nice little apartment that looks fantastic. They work hard to keep everything running smoothly. I would highly recommend this community; it’s a great place!

"Sunrise Assisted Living: A Welcoming and Caring Community"
This place has been pretty good for my dad. It took him a bit longer to get used to it than some others. My brothers and I visit him several days each week, and we notice how the staff treats him and the other people living there. They're nice and they check on everyone often. They don't bother them too much but help when needed. The nurses, physical therapist, and occupational therapist are all very professional and kind when they work with the residents. They make a good team. They have activities regularly, and everyone can join if they want to, which gives them something to enjoy every day. The food is alright - they change the menu, but there are some options that stay the same for those who don't like change. I wish they managed the fresh fruit better - it gets mushy with the plastic wrap on it after a short time. But the soups are really good! I was surprised by how fresh they tasted, and they seem to be low in salt. The person at the front desk during the day from Monday to Friday is always cheerful and seems to be the heart of Sunrise. She knows everyone and talks to them, helps them, and keeps the atmosphere positive.

"Fantastic staff, convenient location, more activities needed!"
The staff deserves a 5+! They are super friendly and helpful. I hope they can add more fun activities for Memory Care patients. The place is really easy to get to for anyone nearby. "Five-Star Living for Mom!"
There are lots of fun activities to do here. My mom says it feels like a five-star hotel! The lobby is nice, and the staff is super friendly—just like in a fancy hotel. It’s a great deal for what you pay, and it’s really clean too!

"Many floor plans, good care, and flexible options available."
There are many different floor plans to choose from. I saw two studio apartments and two one-bedroom apartments. My mom has three friends from church living here, but they all need wheelchairs. There is a nurse on-site from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. They will be getting a contract with rehab associates for physical, occupational, and speech therapy. A one-month trial is available, but it would be in a studio apartment until my mom decides if she wants to stay. The place is cable-ready, but cable is not included in the rate. Like other Sunrise communities, the staff does many different jobs instead of focusing on just one.
