"Avoid This Place"
Don’t bring your family here. The room was supposed to be furnished, but it had only one chair and a non-working, dirty TV. It’s one of the most depressing places I’ve ever seen.

"Nice Community but Limited Experience Due to Aunt’s Health Decline"
The list of activities at The Cross Roads was impressive, but we didn’t get to see them in action because my Aunt’s health took a turn for the worse right after she moved in, so she didn’t join any activities. The Cross Roads is a lovely community. Sadly, my Aunt’s health declined quickly, and she didn’t have much time there before she passed away. The sales director and the nursing supervisor were excellent. However, I didn’t like the business manager. She seemed dismissive and abrupt, especially compared to the other, more caring admin staff. The care staff were very kind and attentive. My only issue was that the care team seemed short-staffed on weekends; my Aunt received better care during the week than on weekends.

"Best Care Despite Communication Challenges"
This place needs better communication, but it's still the best for my mom. Be an advocate!

"Good place, but communication and service could improve"
The staff is very helpful if you're there in person, but getting information from them when you're not there is slow, and sometimes they don't respond at all. This includes both the business office and the floor staff. Housekeeping is okay, but we had to ask several times for things that should have been done, and even then, there was no communication about whether the tasks were completed. Moving in is all up to you. The place is nice, but I don't have much to compare it to. I suggest checking it out for yourself; after that, it's up to you.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
Upon arrival, everyone seemed friendly, the place was tidy. I explained my mom's needs. But after two weeks, her room smelled like urine, had stool on the windowsill. They lost her important paperwork. Many of her items disappeared, even those labeled. They promised to call when found, but it's been three months. I asked them to keep me updated on any concerns, but they never did. Most staff were okay, but one bad apple can spoil everything. I have experience in geriatrics and dementia and know what to expect.

"Good tour but feels too large and medical-like"
We visited The Crossroads in person, and it was a good tour. However, it felt a bit too big and more like a medical facility for our loved one.

"Slightly Pricey Tour"
Our family visited The Crossroads at Bon Air in person. It was nice, but a bit out of our budget. Also, two family members left for some reason. .

"Disappointing Experience at The Crossings at Bon Air Assisted Living"
We chose The Crossings at Bon Air because they said they could help our loved one and it was cheaper than another place we looked at. I read reviews and checked Department of Social Services reports before deciding on them. But what they promised didn't happen. We had to take our loved one out after a week and a half, and it was very chaotic. In that short time, he went to the hospital three times, which wasn't usual for him. They wouldn't give back the move-in fee, even though they weren't giving good care. We had to hospitalize him so he could be safe before moving him again. It was extremely stressful to find another place right after this. They handled everything poorly. We moved him to another place, and he's much better there. I found out later that The Crossings had changed ownership just before our bad experience. I hope they can improve for their residents' sake.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Mixed Experience, Hopeful for Improvement"
I think this place is kind of like others around. When COVID popped up a few months ago, they handled it well. Seems like they keep getting new staff members to help out. But, there's been some changes in important roles, like directors. They don't really tell us about it, we have to ask at the front desk. I hope the new people stick around to make things smoother.

"Elderly care facility neglects repairs, serves poor food, lacks compassion."
My mother-in-law stayed there. She told the front desk water leaked through her ceiling. No one checked for 11 days. A maintenance man came but didn't fix it right away. He just brought food. After more rain, it leaked again. They said she had to wait for roofers. It took 3 months to maybe fix it. Water is also coming through other walls. The food isn't good. It used to be nice but was sold twice and now only cares about money, not the people living there. I wouldn't recommend it for elders. There are better options at similar prices. The management is bossy and tries to scare the residents, like my mother-in-law. Please think carefully before letting a loved one stay here.

"Children Not Allowed: Disappointing Visit Policy"
We liked The Crossings at first, but when we were about to sign papers, they said kids couldn't visit. I wanted my daughter to see her grandpa, so that was a big disappointment.

"Bigger Isn't Better: Cozy Matters"
The tour was okay, but the place was too big. I thought my loved one would prefer a smaller, cozier spot.

"More industrial feel, but nice staff and spacious rooms"
Our family toured this place, and it felt a bit industrial, not very cozy. The hallways had stained carpets, but the rooms were spacious, and the staff was really nice.

"Clean and tidy, but too expensive for our loved one"
I’ve visited this place a lot, bringing senior actors for shows. The community is very clean and tidy, but it’s not affordable for our loved one.

"Nice facility but memory care floor needs improvement"
The independent and assisted living places are really nice. I’ve helped out with music there, and my friends' parents live there and love it. The staff was friendly, and the place looked pretty, though the closet space was small. However, the memory care floor was disappointing. It had many wheelchairs with people who looked disengaged and like skeletons.
