The Crossings at Independence

"Friendly staff but food, laundry, and maintenance need improvement"
The staff is nice and helpful, and the housekeeping is okay. Moving in was smooth with no big problems. However, the meals are not very good. The main dishes lack quality, and the preparation is not impressive. The menu gets repetitive and lacks variety. If you don't eat right when the meal starts, the food gets cold. The staff sometimes forgets to bring things that were requested. They should also make it possible to request maintenance online. For laundry, the CNAs handle it, but it's not done well. They don’t have enough equipment or time to manage the two loads per week they promise.

"Disappointing Experience at Harmony: Lacking Personal Touch and Cleanliness"
We visited Harmony at Independence, but the lady (I forgot her name) seemed too casual. She didn't remember our names or our relationship with my Mom. She seemed a bit scattered and disorganized. The place didn't seem as clean, and it's not as close to me and her doctors.

"Memory Care Needs Improvement"
[Name Removed] and the director were great. But after moving my husband there, I haven't been happy with some of the memory care unit staff, especially in the evenings. They haven't always been nice to the residents and sometimes acted unprofessionally in front of visitors.

"Great staff, but upper management was disappointing."
Our tour at Harmony was really good. The admissions staff were super helpful, and we were ready to move our loved one in. But as we dealt more with upper management, we changed our minds. They didn't seem flexible, friendly, or interested in our needs. They were hands-off and didn't take the time to understand our family. The initial staff were awesome, but they couldn't make important decisions.

"Good place, but too fancy for loved one."
This was a good community, but it felt too fancy for my loved one.

"Harmony Assisted Living Cares for All Levels of Mobility"
We picked Harmony because they take people who need more help. Other places we checked wouldn’t take non-walkers.
